I was just at a trad bow shoot in Morris PA and shot over $20k in long bows by some of the big name bow companies. I was looking at a TD longbow. I narrowed it down to the Stalker Coyote SL and I would have bought it until a guy let me shoot his brand new Tolke Whip TK. Compared to the other bows I shot the Tolke and Stalker were a LOT nicer than the other bows. The Tolke was friggin fast and it caugh5 me off guard. If I hadn’t shot the Tolke I’d own a Stalker. Now I’m thinking I’d rather the three piece than the two piece. I don’t know I can’t decide. Also South was the nicest guy of the bunch I talked to. The Tolke owner as a hell of a shot. I watched him put three arrows in the head of a turkey at about 13 yards. And that dude was well into his 60’s. Take care.
I hear ya on beating up our bodies and finding a comfortable bow to shoot. I stuck to a 40 LB bow for 3d competition because after 80 targets and 10 to 20 miles of hiking and still having to work Monday it just makes more sense . As to the other sports I got into Judo late in life ( for judo that is) and have my issue from it. That and working in the construction trades other sports growing up , anything to keep the shoulder from collapsing at full draw. Great vid keep it up
Beautifull bows with amazing performances, as a tinkerer myself with the same draw lenght I can attest that, getting 180fps at 27.5"dl, 7" 1/2 bh, with 11+gpp and 4 catwhiskers, on a 64" longbow, is crazy Don't forget the arrow cast on those hybrids, I have a 50# 64" carbon foam ILF recurve at 7" 3/4 bh with the same point on target at 40meters than my 62" Wessel Stickflinger hybrid at 7" 1/8 bh which is 4# lighter, quality hybrid bows are impressives Did the chrono FPS config from my last comment not worked? I heard there are different firmwares for the same box out there
Great review, I've been shooting a traditional for three years now coming over from compound, and im hooked for life!!!I've mainly been shooting a black hunter longbow and a samick sage and its time to move up too the big boy bows and I did like a one year research on top grade bows especially black widow and shrew i love reflex long bows and recurve but just recently found stalker bows and soon as i looked at South Cox bows I already made my mind up,I just recently put my order in for a coyote recurve and can't wait to it in my hands, and probably will get a long bow as well!good luck this hunting season my friend!
Interesting video, have always wanted one of South’s bows. I believe i’d go with the 64 inch. I would like that limb on my Samick ilf 17 inch riser. Enjoy your videos.
