Master, just apologize for wrong choice of words.
The person receiving the foul words is the one who determines whether it is offensive. Not the one who spews it.
This MP isn't remorseful after showing such gross disrespect towards the Speaker. You can speak your mind without being disrespectful. The Speaker did the right thing by walking him out 😮
The so called speaker has the right to disrespect the president of the land, but he can’t take a criticism? What a shame
Your conduct was disrespectful, admit it .
The Speaker gave you permission to speak doesn't mean you can just open your big mouth and say just anything.
Ooooooh so the speaker created God so he is above criticism? You people should give us a break
@@owususarforichard9905see you oo you think parliament is like football where you can criticize
This current Main Speaker of Parliament has been so Bossy, proud and arrogant right from the day when he was elected and installed. I don't blame him but blame the same rank and file of the NPP who disorganized their camp for this wrong leadership of a controversial nature that has been going on since he took office. Does the Speaker want to say that, no other MP has ever shown a bit of this aspect of disrespect from the two divide of the NDC and NPP? He MUST STOP being biased on his seat!
Baaaa😂😂😂😂f😂
Annor Dompre apologized on your behalf and you're here incoherently trying to justify the wrong. These are the elders we shld learn from.
Which wrong?
@aristo7464 are u ok
@@georgeblayackah9825 very fine
Does he still stand by his rough statement to the Speaker? Does it mean all those raised from the Palaces luck expressing their selves please? Oh my God.
In Ghana timidity is a sign of humility. It's totally wrong that speaker walked him out. What was wrong with the question he asked?
Sorry boss, you seem to have missed the point. The incidenc under discussion was not a question, it was a statement made by the honorable parliamentarian. Your inability to put the situation in its right perspective will make it difficult for you to make any meaninful contributions to the discourse.
Thanks.
Master respects yourself even your action after speaking depicted what you meant and you people are hiding behind been raised in the palace and misbehave
King Agorkoli of our time 😂😂😂😂😂. Emotional and a dictator of a speaker 😂😂😂😂😂
Humiliation for been kicked out. Come on man is this news Mp. Check uk's Parliament
The main shock will get u on dec 7 no more old jokers in parliament
The speaker must render an unqualified apology to the MP he sacked. He has disrespected us.
Hearing him saying a chiefs house, is even more disappointing. He should have known better, we listened to the sitting and you are here trying to defend himself.
He claims to have been brought up in a palace. The question is, would he speak to the Omanhene the way he spoke to the speaker? We are all Ghanaians and know what is acceptable in addressing a senior. Is he here to give us his interpretation of "it does not lie in your mouth"? In my understanding what he was telling the speaker was "you can"t tell us what to do or it is not for you to tell us what to do".
What is more insulting than this? Which palace in Ghana will raise kids to speak this way to an elder? If indeed he was raised in a palace as he claims, then I'm afraid the honorable speaker needs more lessons in speaking to the elderly.
It surprises me that all of a sudden some Ghanaians have equated arrogance to confidence. This show of disrespect has become the hallmark of NPP politicians and anytime they are caught pantsdown they rationalize it as confidence.
Honorable, accept that your behavior was in a bad taste and nothing you say by way of excuses will convince any well meaning Ghanaian with his or head properly screwed on his/her neck that you did not mean harm. It was a deliberate effort to show disrespect, arrogance and insubordination to the speaker all to the audience of only one person, Akuffo Addo, whose ego you sought to massage.
Let us all stand for the electorates and not the few elected
Nonsense. Saa na me tiɛ, so you should be allowed to talk nonsense?
So you compare parliament issue with Kotoko
Truth be told, Speaker Bagbin went over board. The Speaker should not have made those comments after reading the letter from the President, he had no business whatsoever to make such comments, he could have allowed MPs to make such statements.
Im surprised people think the MP did anything bad. The SoP was completely out of line.
This MP is very arrogant and doesn't even notice know what he is talking about
David said sorry Saul explained himself.
😂😂
Let this MP know that everything must be done in the interest of the nation and not in the interest of the President.
Is the speaker doing it for the interest of the nation? you people should give us a break
U were raised in palace so what. U dont speak with that tone n word, mouth.
@@owususarforichard9905If you knew the interest of the nation, you would know that appointing judges to Supreme Court which already has enough judges is not a priority. But obviously you know nothing.
@@owususarforichard9905 have the break you wish to have. Would he have spoken like that to the President? Would the People he represents have spoken in this manner to the Speaker? Judge and take a break.
Jux apologize..
Hon Muntaka once said that Mr Bagbin was operating the parliament like a chief palace
Napo was raised at otumffour's palace yet...
He was disrespectful he doesn't know .his words towards the speaker was totally rud ,
To be fair to the Honorable MP, i feel the speaker ought to have given him another opportunity to examine his choice of words and in conveying his infamous opinion. Afterall the MP was not in the house of lords as a commoner.
This one too calls himself Dr.
His utterances and arguments are completely bogus and incoherent.
Just look at him, he still has no remorse for the fact that the speaker gave you the opportunity to speak doesn't guarantee you to spew trash. At your age those words should not be part of your diction. Don't forget he has served in that house for over 20 years and he knows better than you presume. I wonder about the kind of training you're giving to your children at home. Advise your constituents to stop the needless protest because it's not going to change anything.
Shame on you!!
He did nothing wrong. The speaker of parliament was very hash and wrong. Totally wrong Mr Speaker.
Disrespectful old man he should learn sense and learn how to talk. Alban Bagbin is not co equal, if what he did was right why would his Chief Whip apologize.
Massa, who the hell is power drunk Alban Bagbin? Even the venerable DF Annan was called to order by JH Mensah when he did something similar. From his activism in the anti-LGBT bill to this current matter with replacing retired judges, the Speaker has overstepped his boundaries.
Very disrespectful m condescending talk. Parliament has decorum ad ots hallmark and sanctions to punish errant mps.
Honestly, I didn't see any wrong by the MP till he placed emphasis on the speaker's mouth which in our culture means big mouth. Next time, he shouldn't place emphasis on mouth and Speaker won't walk him out.
Bad choice of words for somebody who is educated in U.S. His comparison to U.S. is seriously flawed. U.S. population is 380 million with nine Supreme court justices. Supreme Court in Alabama has nothing to do with other states. If they cannot handle the workload in Ghana pls resign.
Your choice of words was disrespectful to the Speaker.
It seems those of you trained in Chief Houses lack proper training, or are pompous.
This guys need more training.
The man is right
Evans don't be naive, on the first instance there was nothing like HUMILITY he resisted TIMIDITY and made his point blatantly known as an MP, there's no need for any humility argument when an MP does his job. , on the second instane, there'd been apprehension and so he showed humil
@@lawrencegyasiappiah3175 would he had spoken in this manner to the President? Would the people he represents had spoken in this manner to the Speaker ? You Judge
it looks like all those raised in 'Palaces' have language issues 😁
Why what did he say wrong?
@@ebenezermensah1611 Like u know who?
😂😂😂😂😂
please ask reasonable questions and educative ones, you are not making any sense with your questions
The supreme Court should not be cap because judges are more than 50 and 60 years this is when hypertension and DM disturb ,more clinical excuses duties for medical examination etc.
Okay, we will have 59 judges soon. Hey, what about having 7 presidents from the same party to make their job easier?
Dr. Kwaku Afriyie (MP) has the right to his opinion, but his manner was deemed disrespectful. However, the Speaker's response, emphasizing his national representation, was an overreach. In parliament, members are equals, and the Speaker's role is to facilitate debate and maintain order, not represent the entire country. Afriyie's removal seems like an overreaction.
But you should also know that it's the mps who elected him so he represents the country
@@kankammaxwellokyere958 The Speaker's role is to remain impartial and facilitate debates, not to participate in them. By directing MPs on what to do, the Speaker overstepped their bounds and potentially compromised the integrity of parliamentary proceedings. His behavior in indeed discriminatory and undermines the principles of a fair and neutral chairpersonship. It was inappropriate.
The Speaker of Parliament in Ghana represents the House of Representatives (Parliament) as a whole, but not the entire country.
The speaker was too emotional. He was too harsh.
Bagbin is a clown
We no longer discuss issues dispassionately and logically bcz some unelected CSOs seeking attention have polluted debates in the public square. The Speaker had no business directing the debates with his personal views. That's not his job. If he wants to participate in the debates he should go back and contest to be an MP. He's overreaching but in this political climate, the devious CSOs will just keep quiet, but will jump up in arms at the slightest infraction from government. Bogus political system where facts and logic no longer matter.
What is the host trying to push the man say?
The MP did nothing wrong. You journalists should watch the video very well before you ask unnecessary questions.
Another heavy hand against the NPP. Bagbin is only swimming against the tide. It was needless, journalists in Accra.
You are not serious
Wwaa look at this old thing.
Speaker should be a referee. He can’t be a referee and a player at the same time. He is over doing it.
The mp was telling the truth to the mp but we also take issues based on emotions.
My friend you're too rude l viewed your actions at parliament house
this speaker is arrogant
like you
NPP man boasting again about being raised in a chief's house😂. Another Napo
My brother talk am again ooo
Did you hear what he said in relationship to the palace? Go back and listen to him and appreciate the palace reference. What is wrong in being trained in the palace?
Bagbin is gradually making himself a dictator and a monster in the house. Who made him a King?
I see nothing wrong with what the MP, did. The Speaker overacted......I wonder if he would have done same to Sam George or Okudzeto
The speaker has really disgrace to you sorry 😂
A Dr without wisdom and respect , the country suffers .
Pray that you will get there
By your comment, we’ll all know who lacks respect and proper training
By your comment, we’ll all know who lacks respect and proper training
@@Andy_De_Supremo. No one can use a doctorate degree to intimidate me . There are people in my house with doctorate degree and they have knowledge , wisdom and speak to people with respect . ok . The behaviour which comes out of a man makes him a better person or not.
@@samuelowusu4755you lack proper training and you’re not assertive too
The speaker, in my opinion, didn't do well.
So this NPP station Joy FM has nothing profitable to bring to Ghanaian than this story?
Y now npp people are becoming fools
Gyimi saa. Are the kid for Babgin to dictate to them? What nonsense!
@@PeterAntwiAddo-ud9or There are rules, Bagbin simply followed them
Like how you are
Go check yourself on the video
KWAKU AFRIYE SHOULD KNOW THAT EVERYDAY IS NOT RAMADAN AND EVERYDAY CANNOT BE CHRISTMAS. ENOUGH OF AKUFO ADDO AND HIS APPOINTEES WANTON DISSIPATION OF GHANA'S RESOURCES.
You said with due respect to ur "chair" that is disrespect.
You don't understand English, period
What do you mean by remorseful? Are we practicing dictatorship? The MP was right, Bagbin was coaching the MPs to follow his lead and that does not lie in his mouth. He role should be that of an unbiased umpire. He is not more sensible than the MPs.
This not dictatorship. There are rules of engagement on the floor of parliament that guide their behavior and when one falls fowl of it, he/she faces sanctions. I think that's exactly what the honorable speaker did.
The Ghanaian media are hypothetical. The speaker is wrong on this matter
AKUFO ADDO IS NOT BIGGER THAN ALBAN BAGBIN.
