I'm glad your back. I need the influx of humor in these trying times!
So happy to FINALLY see you guys back. There is a bit or profiteering taking place. I have heard several retailers pass on the same story. They are having to limit purchases because some folks are buying everything they can to resell in a gun show at an even higher price. Between them and the hoarders it's just so damn hard to get defense ammo. The cost of lead is up because obama shut down ALL lead mines in the US. LOVED the chicken tales keep them, coming too.
I can relate to each topic covered on this episode! We moved to the country 5 years ago and my wife loves chickens, and gets them from chicks, and the roosters are ***holes and I am the one who takes care of them, as they beat the snot out of the chickens! Also I have found that a Ruger LCP can fill in for raccoon control at about 15 yards when you do your part and that's the only firearm on you at the time lol. Great to see you all back!!! I look forward to the next GUNCRANKS!! take care :-)
Happy to see you all back! Irreverent humor at its best!
Welcome back!
On a good note, Remington Ammo is back and add ammo to the supply side of the formula. Go Big Green!
And under new management! The Vista/Federal/Speer team knows how to make good ammo :-)
Now Remington is producing ammunition again hopefully things will improve. They have a massive production capability and are supposedly running their production lines 24/7. That has got to help!
I use a #2 pencil for function check. After I clean the pistol I drop a unsharpened pencil down the barrel and dry fire. My 1911 will drive the pencil to the ceiling, the plastic guns about half way up the barrel.
Looks like ammo finally coming back into SW Va. 9mm is back but the price is outrageous. Double to three times the original price. Still no 380 n 357.
Studies show that there are 9x-12x as many chickens per person in the US. As long as the chickens never figure this out, we will be just fine.
What's causing the shortage? Primers.
You can buy all the brass you want, bullets you want, powder you want, dies you want, presses you want, set up a whole system of computerized high capacity gizmos to turn out all the loaded ammo you want...... and without a primer you load approximately ZERO rounds. You need primers to ignite them.
How does "capitalism" or "greed" as some shmucks tend to conflate the two, have anything to do with the fact you can get all sorts of those things I mentioned, but no primers in sight? Explain that.
Also explain how much the administration is shipping out of the USA to other places. Explain how those effects causes a cascading effect down through the system to the everyday store-walk-in customer who never sees a single primer. Think deeper about it.
Also since UA-cam hates anyone who posts a url link in their message, here's the last part for you to past into UA-cam and watch a man who knows what he's talking about, hear him out: /watch?v=zPqvUstnOPo
ain't. Its straight gouging! These ammo prices are fing nutty Town prices
You three look exactly how you sound.
We represent that remark!
Didn't they say the prices would never go back during the scarcity of the Obama years? It came back quite well during Trump's administration. A bulk pack of Federal .22 came back maybe a dollar more. Not 200% more. Just saying.
you guys are off point on ammo....I buy and shoot to train. I buy rounds in batches of 1k. no body I know in my local area is hording ammo.
We'll have to disagree on this one. In normal times, people don't buy whatever ammo is on the shelf every time the visit a gun store. Now, everyone buys everything they can out of fear of lack of future availability. The system just can't sustain everyone buying at the same time. It's no different than the great toilet paper scare of 2021...
Hey guys, enjoyed the show! But it's not as SIMPLISTIC as you peddle. Now explain what you mean by "CAPITALISM". Otherwise, nobody will understand the TRUE 'conspiracy' that's going on today in the USA (and the rest of the commerce world). Is the TYPE of 'capitalism' MONOPOLY or FREE ENTERPRISE? Do you know the difference? And what does MARKET CONTROL and fiat money banking have to do with it? Please tell! And how does GOVERNMENT REGULATION (and 'backdoor' bribery, aka; LOBBYING) have to do with price increases?
Your all full of shit. I get the supply and demand and watched primers double in price without even being in stock anywhere. Yes there are lots of new gun owner but how many "new" gun owners start off reloading? One leading ammo manufactuer said, well we made too much ammo and laid a lot of people off and are now rehiring and training people. That was 15months ago. How much training does it take to press a button?
If you all have all these pals on the inside... why dont you ask the simple question "how much are they exporting"?
