airbrush medium (Liquitex)
airbrush cleaner
air compressor
medicine cup (flexible cup)

My fiancé got me an airbrush machine for Valentines day! I haven't got to use it yet but our wedding is next month and I'm using Sola flowers!! Looks like my bouquet might just be airbrushed hahah

Do you need to use the Glycerin in the mix like you would for DIPPED flowers? Thanks dear!
I would not add glycerin to go through your airbrush. But you can spray your flowers after they are dyed with a glycerin/water mix ( I do one part glycerin to 8 part water)
I looked for the S68 air brush but it looks different then what you’re using here. It is a master s68-b and has a glass jar at base. Is that interchangeable? Is there a different one you’re using now or can recommend?

Hi. How do you incorporate glycerin? Would you spray the mix after the paint dries?
Yes after the flowers dry and with airbrushing it is usually under an hour I would gently touch the flowers and if they feel a little crunchy I would do a spray of a water glycerin mixture let it dry touch again see how they feel and go from there.
Can you air spray metallic paints? Looking for light rose gold. Thanks
There are some speciality metallic airbrush paints that might work better than diluting a craft paint
Stephanie do you recommend wearing a mask when airbrushing? I’ve heard conflicting info!
I don't since I am using a ventilation area but it doesn't hurt to if you can. You are releasing very small particles of paint into the air so better safe than sorry
Which specific Liquitex medium do you use and what is the ratio to paint mixture? Thank you
It's called airbrush medium I dont have a true ratio I just put enough in to make the paint feel like a milk like thickness is the best way to describe it.
Hi Stephanie! I noticed your flowers are pretty pliable. Did you pre condition the flowers with softener or glycerin?
Typically with airbrush flowers I don't. If I am dip dyeing and fully saturating a flower with dye then I normally do. I hope that helps! (all of this to say, it comes down to a personal preference)
some people say you can spritz (with a water bottle) like warm water and glycerin to make them softer and easier to work with.
What airbrush gun do you have? I purchased the same compressor kit from Harbor Freight.
I use a few different Master Airbrushes right now. Thinking about investing in an Iwata at some point

Hi Stephanie! Is there a way to add a cotton cord to a sola wood flower to use in a diffuser? I cant find a tutorial anywhere!
Typically the cotton cord is added into the sola flower at the time of making the flower. You can add a reed as a stem to a sola flower to use it for oil diffuser if that is an option for you.

Can you add a pipe cleaner instead of a reed?
Do you have to have liquitex or can you mix your paint with water like when you dip dye?
I prefer to use some sort of airbrush medium. I have also used the airbrush medium from golden

The label says: Central Pneumatic, 1750 RPM 58 PSI Max (I hope that helps!)
I was looking at a video and the guy was using Folk Art and Apple Barrel acrylic paint he was using alcohol to thin the paint. He said that alcohol was really good for airbrushing and also it dries quickly. Have you ever heard about using alcohol? Have you ever tried alcohol to thin paint? He said it’s cheaper and works better then airbrush thinner. I just purchased an airbrush and Sola Flowers so I’m looking at every airbrush tutorial. Thanks!
