To be honest Elden Ring is a pretty good start if you want to get into the fromsoftware games. Elden Ring is easily the most forgiving in the series.

@@TurtleHQ I haven't played it yet, but I know Sekiro is pretty hard. If not then probably bloodborne just because the pacing is different from the others.
Haven’t played sekiro either but I know when I ran bloodborne the game was the hardest out of all that I played and the fact you don’t get your healing items back after resting made it so much worse

This was my first souls game and i fell in love with it quickly. Bought the dark souls trilogy and im on the last boss on dark souls 1
My advice is simple but will be your bread and butter for Souls games: don't get tempted by greed even if they've got 1 HP left. Good luck and have fun!

Fighting all the NPCs will make the game even harder for you. You're gonna miss out on tons of vendor items, quest items and weapons. But, every playthrough is different. As long as you're having fun you're playing the game the right way.
Yeah I'm gonna need all the items I can get so may have to go easy on some of them for now 🤣

I love it, an advice try to go to the east it’s a very friendly the most forgiven area for the beginners

Always happy to see more people to get into this franchise, i would highly recommend you get yourself a controller for these games tho cuz they're really not made for mouse and keyboard
Also i advice you to stay as blind as possible, this is your one and only first playthrough so i think savoring it as much as possible is the best choice of action

@GBlockbreaker tbh you controller weirdos are so annoying. Kbm works amazingly well in these games. Some of the older titles were less friendly and didn't give kbm prompts but they still play fine. By the time sekiro came out fromsoft realized how stupid they were and started giving kbm prompts to pc users. Now there is NOTHING better about controller 😂 in fact, I could easily argue controller is inferior given how much fromsoft fans love to whine about camera issues in their games. Mouse gives you far superior camera control. If you prefer controller that's fine but don't tell other people to waste money buying a controller just because YOU couldn't handle using superior hardware
@@forwardmoving8252 as someone that started this franchise with and played through all 3 Dark Souls games and got hundreds of hours in DS1 with keyboard and mouse: yeah no keyboard and mouse fucking sucks compared to a controller, keyboard and mouse vs controller gameplay is genuinely a world of a difference, switching to controller felt like i was driving a car with my shoes on for the first time in my life

I got Elden Ring around New Years, it was on sale, and wanted something that looks cool. It was also my first FromSoft game, and I love it, despite not being very good. The trick is to like it enough to farm enough runes to become ridiculously overpowered. Even then you’ll get rocked, lol. I just started NG+4.
The new farming simulator is looking pretty dope 🤣
@@TurtleHQ there is actually a really good rune farm you can get early on for leveling up you just have to beat the first 2 story bosses margit and godrik although i dont know if you will be able to do it due to your hostility towards the guy who gives you the quest

Yh at the beginning i thought the same. But then comes the "can't go further" phase, where you will read dozens of tipps and tricks or watch videos, how to continue.
And that's the main reason, why I think this game could be muuuuuuuuuuuuch better.
I think if the game would be less mystical what to do next, and wouldn't cover every mandatory things and mechanics in secret, it would much better.
I started as a Mage and it took me forever to find out where to buy or find spells. At some point you will only be frustrated.
In my opinion that is the main reason, why I cant consider it to be "good" even i like the gameplay and huge dense atmosphere.
The game is too difficult for casuals and search the needle in the hey is just a bad concept. If you require youtube videos to get further, it is not a good concept at all.
Even worse, you will get spoilered as hell. It is almost impossible not to get spoilers, because even the thumbnails are in a way spoilers.
Thank you for this! I'm gonna do my absolute best to try not get spoiled and to not be broken by my own frustration
