Thank you for visiting Konkan region. There are many historical temples Konkan region which are incredibly built and structured before science word exist. It's purely spiritual. I am recommending some of them starting from name - "sindhudurg" to district " ratnagiri ". All the way and close to national highway. 🇮🇳 welcome to india

One small correction, this fort is not 300 years old. It's last upgrade was 300 years back. Construction and upgrades of this fort date all the way back till 600AD!!! It started as a small watch/surveillance fort for the port built by chalukyas in that time.

Use Odomos as anti mosquitoes cream, monsoon is the time when dengue and malaria mosquitoes are in prime. You can go to Kashid beach, Murud janjira, Ajanta Ellora. Many forts and some are risky and only for trekkers. Malched ghats, Karjatfor waterfalls.

If you have the time than try visiting Mahableshwar and Panchgani, a hour drive between both the hill station of Maharashtra. This is one place besides Mumbai and Pune where you could get a taste of Parsi cuisine. You could check Dina hotel, IL palazzo, Strawberry inn. Also Rainforest and Malas restaurant for some good food.
Don't forget to pack some warm clothes in the monsoon.

@@inquisitiveexplorers Once the Rain receed , do explore some beautiful waterfalls in Maharashtra and Karnataka (ones where you can trek ). Also there are lots if good places and great food options in coastal Karnataka (Mangalore and Udupi ) . Do try post September when the monsoon intensity decreases.

@rajesh_Jgtp we always try and not drive or drive very slow if it rains too heavy, safety is always priority, you live once, so be safe… we usually stop next to the road if possible if the rains too heavy and visibility is basically zero. ❤️🙏🏻

I think you might already have... but of not, don't miss Sindhudurg and Janjira. They both are architectural and strategic masterpieces. Also, they show 2 different styles of building sea forts.
I am not sure if the weather will permit, but if it does, you can visit Vengurla Light House (check timings and availability beforehand). It gives an amazing view of the Arabic sea.

Try to visit Buddhist caves near you, it's everywhere in India, specially in Maharashtra. Those are 2500 to 1000 years old caves, you will be amazed seeing those.
Some ancient Buddhist caves & Viharas are converted in Hindu temples now.
You will be definitely amazed if you visit Azanta & Ellora caves in Aurangabad, Maharashtra state.

28:04 they are actually the rooms. Some 2 floors some 3 floors, if you had gone inside you could see door frames on upper floors

Actually the construction you saw at the enterance of fort is not 300 years old cause at that time cement is not in used, instead of that Marathas use " Shisa " (in marathi language). As a patriotic Indian, Forts are always a mystery to me. I adore those built by Indian kings. There are lot of forts built by Islamic invaders and British, Portuguese, French invaders - which symbolise to me the brutality with which they came to power... Hopefully this is a fort built by a native Indian King as I enjoyed your video :) If not, I would carry a tinge of guilt.. :) Thanks for exploring! Pls show us your cat sometime. @@raaziya2839 We love Indian muslims. -they are our brothers and sisters - but not Mugals and the price we paid for those items is huge.. so I request every Indian Islamic brothers and sisters not to associate with Mugals and understand what they did here and put them in perspective 🙏
