I saw somewhere that under pure light (polarised light) these stones are more magnificent than diamonds or any other crystals
Well, any way Lord prepare more than beautiful existence for those who love Him. He, any way called all, but in this ages, times the power is given to beasts in matter to know who is really worthy......!
Cross polarized light, anisotropic filtering. And think about it. How did the author know they could look that way 2000 years ago. It's very powerful evidence in the book. The people who figured it out called it pure light. There words not ours.
They are also the possible same stones used in Aaron’s breastplate even further back in time

God is an amazing Creator !! Worship the Creator and not the creations. The creations are not above the Creator. I appreciate gems, stones, minerals and crystals because God made them !! It is the occult that twists, falsifies, manipulates or distorts every good thing and the occult tries to turn the simple beauty of creation items into something bad or evil. Do not worship anything / anyone but God.
The creation must be pretty significant if God created it. Seems like he went to a lot of trouble for nothing according to your logic. I think you may need to think harder. Perhaps.
The way i see it... The stone is intended to be as a reminder that there was a time that ;not even God ,wants to remember !
It is the way man was in the beginning. Just as Adam found Eve;and settled with her, sedating an instinct to be comfortable ...so the amethyst stone could very well represent the self -control one requires to be socially acceptable.

The stones represent names, with meanings, conveying the Gospel. Men in their wisdom have become fools. Remember the appearance of the one upon the throne? The rainbow around the throne? Here is the interpretation by the Spirit of God and the Holy Scriptures, may the Lord give you understanding.
The Jasper is the last stone on the breastplate of judgment. The Sardine is the first. The Emerald is the fourth. Each represents a name and meaning. Jasper is Benjamin, son of the right hand. Sardine is Reuben, to behold. He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, and many that be first shall be last, and last first. There is a rainbow of praise (Emerald, Judah, meaning praise) around the throne, meaning the manifold things to praise him for in all of his covenants. the city is not annalogy, it will be real city, literal. Yes, and only on flat earth model reality. No need to twist anything.
The entire Bible is written of the Adamic race which became Israel which became Christian. The chapter is speaking of and to Israel and no Jew or other foreigner is included. As time moves on the nations will come to visit and the real estate laws of leasing may apply but I see no indication that foreigners will ever occupy New Jerusalem or the Kingdon of God. There is a future to all this as the nations come under Christ's rule.
