I wonder if carnelian stands more for the fires of purity instead of judgment. Everything in Heaven would be eternal including the meanings behind these stones. Since judgment is temporary and Hell is a place of extermination (thus evil will not exist forever), after satan is destroyed along with all his followers (second death), there wouldn't be any judgment any longer. What people are doing is mistaking the description in Revelation as referring to material stones, but that isn't what's being described. At this point there is a new heavens and a new earth, and it's no longer a material approximation. It's pure, radiant energy. We currently live in an approximation that's made up of energy particles bound into building blocks. Without radiant energy (light) shining on it, we are otherwise in darkness. The New Jerusalem isn't particle based; it's pure solid radiant energy. In appearance those elements look similar to the stones described, but they are actually pure radiant energy that's been formed by God into those shapes. This is why they have the radiant translucent characteristics John describes, just like colors in a rainbow. The 12 foundations represent the 12 apostles, but I wonder if they also represent the 12 tribes of Jacob/Israel? Wouldn't it be something if the 12 apostles also just happened to each be in the descendant lines of the 12 sons of Jacob/Israel? We don't know why Jesus chose the particular men he did, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if each of them also represented the 12 tribes of Israel.

New Jerusalem is a 2400km starship that lands on a new earth so the 12 pearl gates are airlocks which could be kilometers in scale with many perhaps billions of meeting and feasting rooms in the airlock gates. diamond is mentioned in the KJV as the 6th stone on the Breastplate of Aaron in Exodus 28, however the KJV doesnt mention diamond as one of the 12 foundation stones of new Jerusalem(rev 21). I think the Septuagint replaces diamond with chrysolite. Every translation has a different order of the gems

In appearance those elements look similar to the stones described, but they are actually pure radiant energy that's been formed by God into those shapes. This is why they have the radiant translucent characteristics John describes, just like colors in a rainbow. The 12 foundations represent the 12 apostles, but I wonder if they also represent the 12 tribes of Jacob/Israel? Wouldn't it be something if the 12 apostles also just happened to each be in the descendant lines of the 12 sons of Jacob/Israel? We don't know why Jesus chose the particular men he did, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if each of them also represented the 12 tribes of Israel.

diamond is mentioned in the KJV as the 6th stone on the Breastplate of Aaron in Exodus 28, however the KJV doesnt mention diamond as one of the 12 foundation stones of new Jerusalem(rev 21). I think the Septuagint replaces diamond with chrysolite. Every translation has a different order of the gems
