- This is a video I have wanted to make for a long time about the worst game I've ever played. Worse than Halo 5, far worse than Halo Infinite...Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight was not only a spit in the face to the fans but also what killed the franchise once loved by so many.
Screw you EA.

EA forcing devs to release a half bake game and or different game that ended up killing the franchise. WHAT IMPOSSIBLE!
Jokes aside Command and Conquer 4 was definitely and unexpected one haha. Very original for a worst game of all time.
I agree with you on most points, but there are some I don't understand. The C&C series generally never really bothers to tell who your protagonist is, dunno why you mention this now with this game. As for you talking about some content being locked behind classes, that sounds like the concept of sub-factions and some C&C games like Red Alert 2 and C&C 3 even use this concept. Sub-factions exist to have a different arsenal that suit your playstyle.
True with the sub factions thing but they still didn't lock a third of the games units it was just a few that were more extra per say.
I guess the protagonist thing bothered me so much because they tried so hard to personify him by giving him a wife and really dramatized that up.

C&C4 was actually a game EA got the assets to (was some sort of Moba game that they got and randomly tried to make some money out of)
They went all in on the Moba craze seeing dollar signs, added rushed cutscenes, recycled stuff from their cancelled game Tiberium and did what suits do when it all goes to shit, blame the studio
Though I think a suit at EA hated C&C and wanted an excuse to kill it off
to add insult to injury, they gave GDI the worst irl camo instead of keeping the uniforms they had in Tib Wars
Unironically the game was a lot of fun in multiplayer when it was still populated. Had it been released as a free to play online only game like it was originally intended to have been I wouldn't hate it nearly as much. I don't blame the developers though. It was never supposed to be a sequel. The decision to close the studio was made long before the game released and EA forced the devs to create a 'campaign' in a few weeks, slap a price tag on it and push it out as a sequel.

Regarding the 30FPS part, all CNC games are locked at 30fps. I guess it has to do with the engine they used.
Yeah I just feel like for a 2010 game it should have been a higher framerate.
This game and their stupid mobile cash grab infuriated me. I started playing C&C back in 95 and loved every single game. Even Dune 2000 was awesome. I refused to buy this abomination after seeing gameplay and almost completely wrote off EA because of it and other franchises they killed
a mobile unit that can spawn troops is an interesting idea but replaying the traditional base building for this? What were they thinking?
They had mobile units as bases in Tiberian Sun Firestorm and they were great but as you said they should be in addition to bases not replacements.
I think a special unit that can spit put infantry is great. Halo Wars 1 does this with the Elephant unit. It can dispense infantry anywhere on the field but cannot upgrade them, is slow, and expensive to produce to balance it out.
It's a neat marketing strategy, you assume that your previous customers will purchase the product because they have purchased it before.
A while back, I decided to run through the whole series in sequence. I was dreading cnc 4. I convinced a buddy and I suffered through it with me. We finished it.
It is genuinely a pretty bad game.

By the way, if you're looking for the negative health impact of C&C4... No Strings Prd. did a C&C4 drinking game stream as april's fools joke last year. Evry time the wife got mentioned, he'd take a shot. It was honestly the only enjoyable way to experience the game; for him, the alcohol, for the watchers, a combination of schadenfreude and the in-jokes building up in the chat.
Oh that sounds dangerous lol. I'm not a drinker myself, I just turned off the game after a while I got so annoyed at it.
@@BrokenCircle1 He diluted it a bit so he'd actually have a chance to get through the game, and after a while he adapted the rules so any already-encountered mentions of the wife repeating as a result of failing a mission and having to reload / restart would no longer count. Overall, despite the game, the stream was hilarious.
I remember watching a lore breakdown of C&C tiberian timeline and i seem to recall the llayer actually being a cyborg that contains cabal but im not 100% on that.
As for the protagonist not bring named, someone did mention it here already but only in tiberoum sun i believe you actually are given a backstory n stuff but everything else is basically "Commander"
EA lost the plot a bit before this came out and it shows. Honestly if they did a remaster of the OG games on steam im sure people would applaud them for it. Hell the original 2 were a huge hit when they did the remasters on them. Games we want remastered never will be yet they will spit out remakes for games that are still perfectly servicable and playable. The absolute state of the games industry
I have played it. I LOATHED it and have not reinstalled it on any computer since then (I got it as part of a bundle with other, better, C&C games, so I can't refund it).
I told people red alert 3 was the warning sign of what was to come back in the day and no one believed me and then C&C4 dropped i was not happy to be vindicated that day
Come now, the remasters of the first 2 games were a proper title under the brand.
I suppose, I just meant no new games. Like with a new story/units/etc.

That was interesting. Definitely glad I haven’t played that game. The extent of my knowledge of Command and Conquer is it’s an rts series that exists (wasn’t aware there were multiple timelines until recently) and that people started memeing one of Jordan Peterson’s meltdowns using C&C (“and I would rather die than delete that tweet….up yours woke moralists we’ll see who cancels who”. Peterson seriously NEEDS to be taken off the Internet for his own good. He now wants anonymous speech to be banned because the “anonymous troll demons” and “lol seeking dementors” have been sending spicy memes his way. He also posted that bizarre Dmilking tweet thinking it was some kind of dystopian lab experiment🤣).
It’s too bad that EA has killed so many franchises due to greed an incompetence at the very top. Luckily we’ve had some remakes of bug games, but unless they have a MAJOR change in leadership things won’t get better.
You should make videos on different things that you like. I’m sure that would be better for your mental health and more fun than having to rant the whole time about something that has continually disappointed you.

I don't know loads about Jordan Peterson. I have seen some memes with him and I have seen him make sense and sound insane at the same time. I don't understand why people follow him like he's some kind of cult leader.
That’s good to hear. Hopefully you’ll be able to make content that makes you happy. Focusing too much on something negative isn’t very healthy for the mind (I’m not doing what some of the regards in the comment section of your newer videos are doing where they say “we need to bring back positivity and how dare you criticize the company”. I’m just saying constantly being enraged will eat away at your mental health).
I saw your latest stuff and it was interesting. Wasn’t aware that 343 did all that stuff because admittedly I haven’t done a whole lot of research into how the company operates.
I personally wouldn’t go that far. You’re making the mistake of ascribing way too much competence to the man. A far more accurate description is to say that he’s one of many Internet Daddies for the “Lost Boys”. He’s a lolcow similar to Mr Enter (the guy who raged that Turning Red movie didn’t have 9/11 as the main focus😂) where most of the time he’s very very boring and is not worth watching. But, just like Mr Enter he’ll occasionally have an AMAZING dumpster fire/meltdown. His regard audiences are also super annoying and think that clean your room is a profound statement even though it’s a very basic thing they should’ve already been doing. Also, a lot of Peterson’s critics are guilty of many of the same things they harass Peterson for, like h3h3 being a hypocrite who cries whenever you mention he also had a problem with pill popping. He also simped hard for Jordan back when dunking on sjws was the big thing to do, and now that that grift is no longer profitable he snakes Peterson and started alogging him. If you look at Jordan Peterson’s older stuff before he had his Benzos/Xanax addiction and was sent to Russia for an experimental detox treatment by his daughter it is a night and day difference. He used to be fairly rational and well spoken, but now he cries ALL THE TIME and spergs out whenever he faces the slightest bit of pushback. The whole thing is a dumpster fire and if his daughter actually loved him she’d stop putting him on all these weird diets that make him act erratically, but she’d rather just use his clout for her own gain.
Recently on Steam the game Tempest Rising released a demo you might want to check out since the game is C&C in everything but name. Haven’t played it, but from what I’ve heard it’s really good for the most part.

This video needs a part 2 electric boogaloo where you talk about that new mobile game. I saw some guy analyzing it and he was pointing out how they straight up ripped off designs from Halo. There’s these yellow drop pods that looks EXACTLY like the ODST drop pods and their introduction scene is a carbon copy of the H2A cutscene where they land on the Ring. He was also saying that most of the characters are just names that don’t match up with who they’re supposed to be, and that the only one who actually looks on point is Kane. It’s amazing just how big of a dumpster fire that thing it. It would be interesting to see which of these two games is worse. Although, I highly doubt you’ll play it because it looks like a complete dumpster fire😂
I recently watched some lore videos about C&C and I thought it was really interesting how the setting is actually VERY dark. It just has a wacky over the top tone that distracts you from just how truly horrible the world they live in is. You have endless wars where both sides are expending resources and men fighting over super crystals that are killing the planet. Tiberium has caused an ecological apocalypse on par with Half-Life 2’s beta where the combination of the Combine draining earth’s resources/terraforming it and the rampant Xen infestation has rendered the place uninhabitable and destroyed the ecology. There’s also stuff like cyborgs that have no free will similar to the 40K Servitors. Most of the population are living in places that are slowly killing/mutating them. It is not a world you’d want to live in.
You should make a video talking about what your ideal C&C game would be like. That would be interesting to see.
It’s really a shame that this series is now dead. There’s a lot of really good ips that are dead because the people in charge are regards or the devs ran into financial trouble. Thankfully there’s this new game called Tempest Rising made by THQ Nordic that’s basically C&C in everything but name. There’s a demo on Steam you can try out. Hopefully it turns out to be really good.
The tiberium universe has such interesting lore just poor presentation at times.

I remember playing this when it first came out (been a c & c fan since the first red alert came out and I got to play it on my dad's computer) and I was really excited.....then I played it for 10 minutes and hated it. Ahahha, great vid!

You're overlooking the travesty of the Medal of Honor series.
Cooperate limitations forced Danger Close to meet a release date two years before the pre-designated deadline, demanded that it be more like CoD, and leaving the developers with only weeks to release it.
Minimal advertisement on an unfinished game... Then EA said, "it's not selling, you're fired!".
So sad.
But not as sad as C&C

@@BrokenCircle1 C&C 3 was trying to be generals and the epic/super units was just stupid. The unit redesign felt out of place for a fair few units and made them just ugly as hell. The main problem was the Scrin just did not feel part of the game at all and move like it was shoved in form another RTS. The Subfaction thing just did not work and was poorly balanced. It changed to much and why not as bad as C&C 4 it just changed to much and felt fairly bad and its why it died fairly quickly.

I see where yourre coming from though I did like the epic units though I felt putting in the MARV instead of regular mammoth was criminal.
The redesigns I have mixed feelings about. I love the APCs though the pitbulls sucked. I do miss the old hover tanks and walkers. The Nod redesign 100% sucked. I VASTLY proffered the TB Sun versions but to be fair there was a big change from TB Dawn to Sun so I took it more as just further changes.
The Scrin...yeah fair point. I never minded them but 100% see where yourre coming from. I would have liked something a bit different that fit the theme of them that we saw briefly in previous games.
Overall I still liked Wars though I can see why you didn't with that explanation.
A thing I'd like to add...Wars didn't have Frank Klepacki doing the soundtrack and that sucked.
unpopular opinion buuuut i aTBH liked C&C 4 TT
