That's actually cool that the devs are putting a user made region in a dlc instead of being like Nintendo and trying to squash the creator for copyright infringement. I love it when a game dev engaged with their community.
@@geegcola rip vimms lair. It was around for so fucking long without any problems and everyone knew about it, but Nintendo finally decided enough was enough I guess. Maybe selling original hardware or a proper way to play the games would actually make people give them money.

funny hearing my threat themes in a skurry video haha.. thanks for checking these out! RW has such a fantastically talented modding community, always nice to see these projects showcased :)
There's actually a very cool modded region called Stormy Coast (i think that's the name) that changes visually depending on which slugcat campaign you pick! Gourmand, Monk, Survivor and Hunter all share the same state tho so only one playtrough of one of these is needed.
yessss coral caves and lush mire are two of my favorite custom reigons! sad i missed this stream :') i LOVE going around custom regions hunting for pearls and echoes for that good good fresh dialogue and fan additions to the lore
@@Indigo_Shard Noodle was the name of a slugpup from a previous video/stream (I don't remember which one). These two commenters, however, are referring to the secret slugcat, sometimes called Inv or Sofanthiel.
Ive played through these regions before, theyre so pretty. Though the first time I played through lush mire there was this glitch that basically made it so your pups never spawned in the shelter with you and i just lost them it was so sad.
u can try the sunlit trail expansion. It has new regions; pilgrim's ascent (sort of like the wall), far shore, moss fields, and the scorched district. You also get to meet a new iterator, Chasing Wind. There are a bunch of new creatures. some are harmless, but a few are op murder machines. its very fun
it's worth mentioning that a lot of modded regions do something special for saint due to it being so late in the timeline. whenever I explore modded regions, I also try to see what they're like on saint for that reason. within the mods that you played here, coral caves is the only region that recieves saint-specific changes.
the second set of regions you explored have some spearmaster specific changes, and a few saint changes, but they are minor. Also there's a custom region called Scorched District that connects Pilgram's Ascent to Metropolis, it's pretty good (and has some stuff for earlier timeline slugs if I remember correctly). If you're looking for more regional mods, I've played most of them, so here's some recommendations. Mast + Badlands + Undersea, which all have connections to each other and can be reached from Sky Islands, Farm Arrays, Shoreline, Citadel, or Subterrain. I'd recommend playing as Spearmaster & Saint as Mast was designed with Spearmaster in mind, but it has some major Saint-specific changes. Deserted Wasteland, is a large enough custom region that it might as well be 3 regions. It can be found near Five Pebble's chamber. Marshland Wastes is one of the larger custom regions. It connects to Farm Arrays, Garbage Waste, and Pipeyard, though the Farm Arrays connection is the easiest to find due to it being right next to Hunter's spawn. Radiosphere isn't a massive custom region nor does it connect to any custom regions, but it does have some really cool atmosphere going for it. It connects to Far Arrays. Purification Conduits, Howling Rift, Sacred Garden, Bioengineering Center, and Hallowed Grotto are all what I'd like call connector regions. They're modded regions that generally connect two canon regions to each other. None of these mods are massive on their own and they don't connect to modded regions, but they're definitely worth checking out. Old New Horizon's is a pretty massive mod that adds several custom regions that all connect to each other. I'd also like to point out a few rain world mods that aren't exactly custom regions but they're definitely worth checking out at some point. Reclaiming Entropy - is very close to being finished by the looks of it. The mod adds a new campaign that takes place waay after Saint, completely overhauling every existing region in the game. Hunter Expanded - adds several cutscenes and two alternate endings to Hunter's Campaign.
oh right, there's also aquifer tunnels, which i completely forgot to mention. that region's a connector region between Sky Islands and Shoreline. However I didn't want to clump it with the other connector regions because it's really big and really hard, so it's likely to eat up way more time than the other connector regions.
You should explore all of the chasing wind mod, it is the best rain world mod I've ever played and lets you visit a new iterator (Chasing Wind) It has a full soundtrack and contains three new regions with the entrance to the first region being near the side of submerged superstructure. It is insanely well made with custom creatures and I cannot recommend it enough.
These regions were really cool! I really enjoyed going back to the exploration/survival roots of Rain World gameplay, would love another stream with new regions!
"There is probably a lot of stuff I never found, but what I did find I was satisfied with" Dang, I don't know how to consciously put things down, they just fall off because I fixate on the next thing.
Rain world has THE BEST community out there, you cannot convince me otherwise. The fact people are talented enought to make mods like this blows my mind
Next I would recommend trying out the Sunlit Trail (Pilgrims Ascent, far shore, smossy fields, Chasing Wind), scorched district is also very good but not technically a part of the trail
Im making a custom region right now! Its going to be called East Shore ( Maryland jumpscare ) and its going to be for only spearmaster if i can get it to work. ( its going to be connected to waterfront facility ) and it's going to be my first region ever!
I just searched “Skurry Rain World” on a whim because I was going to rewatch some of the downpour videos and all of a sudden I see this was uploaded today
There are several modded regions that are really well made! And even more are coming, too. Anyways I recommend playing these regions at some point: The Mast (By the way, you can achieve Spearmaster ending by going to The Mast with the pearl!) Howling Rift Scorched District (btw, SD is FP's city, but before downpour was a thing) Pilgrim's Ascent Sunlit Trail regions (Chasing Wind, Moss Fields and Far Shore. These are separate mods on the workshop.) The Grinder (this one's brutal as hell, but also super cool), Reclaiming Entropy regions (these are just basegame, and downpour, regions, but in a post-saint worldstate. Very cool mod, but 5 regions are yet to be added), Stormy Coast (visit this as several different scugs, it changes drastically between worldstates.) Badlands Arid Barrens Gilded Sanctuary
I love hanging gardens but the weird thing about it is there is so much to the region but the actual gates in the region are a complete straight line to each other. Not incentivizing you to actually explore the full region. Luckily when i played i totally missed the gate and explored i think every single room in the region looking for it. Case in point how you ended up just not doing any of the upper wind sections, which are just so cool, cuz you just didnt need to.
I love custom regions so much!! Other ones I think are AMAZING are The Mast (Check it out as Spearmaster), Far shore, Deadlands, Howling Rift and Scorched District! Those are all so gorgeous! I really love Hanging Gardens and Lush Mire too that you've already checked out!
The mast literally feels like a base game region it's so fucking good. Another one I found really fun to explore were the hanging gardens Edit: Oh uh I just realised skurry explored that region in the video lmao. Really should've finished watching before commenting this
I had an idea for a rain world mod called dust land. In the mod you would play as a new character called the snail dog, and instead of rain, there would be dust storms. There would be new regions, iterators, creatures, and even an entire new story. The regions wouldn’t even be part of the original rain world. There was even gonna be bosses. I never got into modding, so the idea for this rain world clone wasn’t even made.
If you're wanting to check out custom regions, one of my personal favorites is The Mast by Snoodle. It has really good production value, including a full custom soundtrack and multiple versions of it for different slugcats (I'd recommend playing through it with Spearmaster). It's set on one of those big transmission spires you can see in the skyline from The Wall.
You literally went through three of the four modded regions from the single guy that each connect, and the one you didn’t go through was LITERALLY THE BEST ONE (stormy coast)
If you want any regions recommendation, I'd say you gotta check out all the regions from Sunlit trails mod! They go like one after another and they're all so beautiful!
Please play the far shore, moss fields and chasing wind regions if you do this again. they are all made by the same person and connect to each other, pilgrims ascent (also made by the same person) connects to far shore
Theres another custom region mod pack i dknt remember its called old new horisons the regions arent the highest quality but it can be intresting tp explore 9 DIFFERENT CONMECTED REGIONS
You chose some of the best. Coral Caves was my first and goddaaaaaaaaaamn was it awesome. Too bad you missed the Aether Ridge era, though. But it's coming back. Soon TM.
@@quercus432 Wow, this should be the most difficult custom region. If you pass it, I don't think you can say that your skills are poor :D playing with monk or surv should be easier than hunter mode, this region has some annoying custom spawn, sometimes you want to concentrate on platforming, but you die to to lizards many times ;-;
