Dynasty Warriors 4: XL - Wu Musou Mode 18 - Battle of Xu Chang

This stage is pretty damn tough, no matter what way you go about it your forces will get overwhelmed by the end of it. When the reinforcements come in that's when you should really rush Cao Cao before your own commander dies.
This is like my favorite stage in the game, which I actually don't play that often because I usually play as Wei in this game. Cao Cao really feels like a final boss here.

Sima Yi could command Jin against Cao Wei.
The strategist on Wei's side could be... Guo Jia.
Sima Yi:
It's time to bid the old days of Wei, farewell!
Deng Ai commands the siege ramp:
Get the siege ramp in position! We'll easily take the castle that way!
Guo Jia:
A siege ramp? I knew you'd try that. Let's begin.
Generic Hu Lie defense the Jin main camp:
"Enemy Wei forces are coming in from the rear! If we lose this fortress, we're all dead!"
Deng Ai:
"It'll be a challenge to get in without the siege ramp. Keep it safe so we can wrap this up!"

I remember it took me forever to unlock this battle on the Wu side.
I used to think it was random luck in the game, but it’s because you had to succeed the fire attack at Chi Bi to get this version of Xu Chang.

So lucky, I'm surprised Sun Jian didn't die sooner since he was by himself for over a minute. If it was me, the moment it said he was in trouble it probably would took a few seconds before he died with my horrible luck. Though, i got to ask, why pick Gan Ning? He's one of if not the worst character in the game.

There are far worse characters than him. Sun Shang Xiang, Zhu Rong, Xu Zhu, even Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Joan are all worse in my opinion.
