This was not a review. Its an infomercial, Apple don't need help to sell their products! This video is shameful as there are virtually no negatives about the featured phone. I've seen some independent unbiased reviews about the iPhone 13 and it's not what this review cracks it up to be especially in the camera department. I sat through this because this channel has been unbiased in the past.
@@motivationin15seconds54 it was just plain shameful with no objectivity. If I didn't know about the S21U this was the advert to go and try it. I've seen the Mr.whosthe boss review and even his review has some objectivity. These guys can't be trusted anymore BUT as an engineer I find these infomercials entertaining.
@@motivationin15seconds54 poor update but still the best of the best, you can’t upgrade something that its already good, even the 12 pro max had more battery than the s21 ultra, androids have only big numbers added and design changed but not a single difference, thats why an iphone with 6 ram outperforms androids with 12 ram and has the same power as an 16 ram android
I cannot agree with you more, and I have a 13 PM, I'm going to check out the Z Fold 3, I got punked by one, it's simply innovative and I love that, an iPhone is an iPhone, had them for 8 years...but like Flossy said, the Z Fold has the major Floss Factor!!! Hands down, take care
Plus you cannot multitask on an iPhone, no always on display, finger print sensor, just a good phone, I'm not a power user but love to have the newest version of the phone, that said, I'm keeping the 13PM but probably will get the Z Fold 3 as well
9:20 Wtf displaying 60hz don't drains 6 times more battery then 10hz. The economy is in the work of GPU, the biggest part of display's battery consuption is the brightness, your display gets 6 times dimmer when 10hz????

Lots of info here! And thanks for giving Dame Tech some recognition! Both of y’all are great tech channels! 😄
Because he gets some things down right wrong. No need to hunt down videos when BS is right in front of you. Calling Golden Reviewer’s video “the wrong take” shows how biased he is. Watch his more recent video and he shows how much smoother the iPad Pro is next to a 13PM. The iPhone is capped at 90hz except for (out of all apps) the UA-cam app which is at a constant 120hz. It might be a bug, but might not be knowing Apple. It shows what is REALLY going on with the screens. Personally Id prefer my screen to be like the iPad Pro’s and not like the current 13PM at its current state. Oh yeah and going up to 60hz from 10hz uses 6 times more battery? LOL. Pretty much throwing out random stats and numbers just like Apple. 😂
@@typer1911 let em know Kanye, that was so dumb to say that cause the refresh rate doesn't get as low, it's a worse display 😭😭😭 one of the worst arguments I've ever heard
Not believing all the hype and having an informed opinion like Kanye does is not ‘hating’. It just offends fanboys because it doesn’t fit their narrative.
@@fmulleady No one complains about hype or claims narrative until it comes to Apple…which is pathetic. All OEM’s use marketing terms, superlatives, and references, but only Apple (and their users) are engaging in a false narrative. Truth be told, the phone has the best battery of any phone and the best screen (and a top of the line camera). Yes, it (the screen) was made by Samsung, but they did what they were told to do…period. The Promotion “bug” (not a bug) is apps not being updated (easy fix), but people much prefer to create the “hype/malfunctioning/conspiracy” narrative than actually investigate (and heaven forbid) find the truth. Most people hating on iPhone or S21 (both excellent) haven’t used the phones. Anyway, enjoy whatever phone you have…take it easy.
With low power mode the refresh rate is still variable (from 10-60). I’m so glad that apple waited to make the 120hz display as best as it possibly could be; it makes a lot of sense to me if the phone knows the text will move slowly then it does not need to go all the way up I think your wife brings up a great point; the camera looks very powerful and professional!
Take that MagSafe wallet and touch it while its attached to phone…you showed attached like it stays on good. NOT it falls off so easy and you loose it and the contents. Heck the MagSafe charger is barely on the phone so dont pick it up by the cable.

As of watching this video on my 13 Pro Max ive had 11h 50m of screen on time today and am currently still at 19% battery without using low power mode. Battery life was one of the things holding me back from switching to iOS but Im super happy that apple has done such an amazing job this year!
Im still using my iPhone 7+ and I would say its holding up reasonably well after 5 years, but its starting to show its age by freezing up every once in a while. It is also only the 32GB model and it is out of storage.
32 g wow!?? I would of been out I get the 128 and only use about 32 to 35g so 128 is more than enough for me..I traded my 12 pro max in and still had 98 g left
Seems like you arent using your phone that much I only got battery for 20 minutes or so left, once I fully charged the battery :( Also am on the limit of storage with 128GB everyday
@@likeaboss4318 ive had to delete tons of apps and pictures, and I only have about 1/3 of my pictures from my iPhone 8 getting demolished. It was rough going from 256GB down to 32, as I had about 80gb of stuff on my phone.
I've opted for this, I already had a 12 pro after being a long time android user but I wasn't satisfied with the battery on the normal pro. I normally wouldn't change my phone after 12 months but after coming from a huawei mate 20x I missed the all day battery. I should get my new toy within a week :)
I never understood the argument that the pro-motion on the 13 wasn't noticeable. Just the unlock animation when I opened the phone for the first time was snappy and extremely smooth.
I really like how much research you did, pulling info from other good UA-camrs, the detail you go into about wattage, low battery gaming and so on. Hearing from a non-techie and about the everyday is good too. Thanks!
Really found this video helpful in what to expect in a year or two when I upgrade again. I like the changes Apple has made here, so I know in a year or two, there will be even more improvements / features to look forward to. I currently have the 12 Pro Max which was an upgrade from a 7 Plus last year. I would say based on these types of videos I would classify myself as a Power user, but on a daily usage basis am a fairly light user when it comes to phones, unless I need something specific. The Power user status primarily applies to desktops, but there again, it just depends.
I went from my purple 11 to the 13 pro max sierra blue the reason I upgraded is because I absolutely hated how slow my 11 was, the 13 max has the 5g and also the 120hz specially the 120hz is what made me upgrade I’m loving it but at the same time I’m kinda sad because I’ll never upgrade again in the next 4 to 5 years
My S20 ultra out preforms my wife's 11 pro max both phones came out about the same time I'm still not sure if I should move over to Apple with the new features of the S22 ultra.
@@Mrspeyton Hi Jessica, I was fortunate enough to get mine about a week ago approximately. Been using it and even posted some videos on it. I’m loving it. I’m sure you will too!
The battery life is unbelievable. I got it last Wednesday. Charged it to 100% that night. It did not go back on charger until Friday night; 48+ hours later. Then did not go back on charger again until this morning. The refresh rate is smooth as silk. When scrolling it like glass. The macro mode is outstanding. I had the i12 ProMax in Pacific Blue. I truly thought I was making a mistake by trading it in. I assure you, it was definitely not a mistake.
At 20:51-20:55, you have a duplicate audio track of you saying, "as well as an awesome improvement, as well as an awesome improvement for night-time photos"
Upgrading from the 12 mini to the 13 pro and glad to see the over heating is fixed. My phone would over heat by things it shouldn’t. If I had a map up and phone plugged In it would go down to 25%

Listen. If you notice the notch and it bothers you, you will also notice a hole punch cutout or even the pixelation in front of under display cameras, and the notch is that big for a reason. Face ID has a lot of sensors and chips assisting it. I'm not here to convince you, because I already convinced myself. I had an iPhone X and now own a note 10 plus. If you think you are miffed by the notch, wait until the under display fingerprint fails 5x in a row, making you use your password, or worse, samsung's face unlock using the front facing camera only. 🤢
@@alecwhatshisname5170 I get your point but in an Era where companies are moving to foldable smartphones the innovation in iphone seems very little year on year.Ipad and Mac's are a whole another story. They are the best in their class.
And that’s why apple is late when applying features that may already be out in other phones for years now. Apple may be late, but the damn sure know how to make the wait worth it. @@starshipupdates5217 Samsung is still good tho 👍 I like all androids phones.. if I had more money I would’ve bought more phones from different company’s lol.
We've come to the point where upgrading the phone doesn't really yield much extra benefits. Only 120hz and better battery is really noticeable upgrade this year. Next year it might be the new design, but I think otherwise there won't be much in it.
Remember that right now the iPhone 13 pro max with 10hrs of battery life is without optimizations to the battery and with iOS 15. It could potentially reach 12-14hrs later down the line. THATS INSANE
Bought the 13 pro max few days ago and already had that same anker power brick found at Walmart I believe it’s 40-50 watt input and it charges fast as hell
LoL, to say iPhone's display consumes 6 times less battery is ridiculous. 9:32 This is what happens when an iPhone user tries to be smart and that's why Apple stopped innovating. I get it iPhone's LTP implementation is a bit better than android but do you really think display battery consumption is only affected by refresh rate and brightness, resolution, and display size don't have anything to do with it.
My wife and I upgraded from the 11 to the 13Pro and it’s a huge jump in my opinion. Not that the 11 was slow but the A15 is smoking fast, the camera is a leap ahead, the battery is simply incredible lasting for 2 days for my needs during the week. Love the new design, better to hold, the cell reception is better, the phone calls and speakers are much crisper, among all others things, the new screen is nice, overall a big improvement. This review hits all the points in great detail and accuracy. Great job!
Hey! One of the main reasons normal consumers don’t recognize the promotion of the new device, is because even though the earlier iPhones are 60hz locked, those iphones still detected your touch input 120 times a second, so even though it’s not smooth visually, it still has that buttery smooth feeling with the responsiveness.
Finally!!! An actual mention of the modem!!! I have an 11 Pro Max and it was constantly dropping UA-cam, Apple Music, etc when I was traveling. I'm amazed at how seldom reviewers on UA-cam ever mention this. I think the upgraded modem will be the most important new feature upgrade for me as I travel to areas where the signal isn't great. Do they think everybody lives in cities or do they never go outside? Your review is so much more informative, I appreciate the amount of hard work you put into this. I really liked your wife's perspective, her appreciation of the new 13 pro (as an average consumer and not a tech geek) was very valuable. I'm now upgrading my wife's 11 to the 13 Pro (she's a realtor and takes lot's of pictures of properties) and I'm going from my 11 Pro Max to the 13 Pro Max 128gb.The only question I have is...Do you actually never use a case? What about drops? What about scratches? Is the ceramic shield enough protection if you keep your phone in a separate pocket from keys?
Thank you for the kind words! I didn't use a case on my 12 Pro Max at all and I was shocked by how good the ceramic shield glass is. I'm very careful with it, but I only had minor scratches that you only notice if you look for them with the display off. Never used a screen protector with it either. Very impressed with it. I always keep it in it's own pocket though. The rear glass didn't really scratch either. The matte finish stops all micro scratches as far as I can tell.

Who would be waiting for iPhone 14? The 13 just came out
Thailand?
2 days bro (or 1 day in ur timezone)
I noticed it immediately when coming from the iPhone 11 Pro Max. But I also have a 120hz and I’m a gamer. I was actually blown away with how smooth it was.
Nice, Dame Tech getting some recognition. Awesome youtuber, very underrated!
It's an awesome review, this channel deserves 10M subscribers.
20:50 as well as an awesome improvement... as well as an awesome improvement. Pretty sure that was an editing error. Can be cut using UA-cam’s editing tools. Super dope video otherwise. Really appreciate the info and samples. My business partner is getting one so I’m even more excited to play with hers now. Still gonna rock this 12 ProMax.

The new thumbnail style is kinda clean. Love it.
9:20 Wtf displaying 60hz don't drains 6 times more battery then 10hz. The economy is in the work of GPU, the biggest part of display's battery consuption is the brightness, your display gets 6 times dimmer when 10hz????
The iPhone 12 Pro cameras look tiny now 😂
Love my 13 Pro Max just for the insane battery life, cameras and ProMotion

iPad Pro bias happened to me when I had to return IPad Air and buy a pro. It’s just way smoother

I’ve noticed this before! What does it mean when he has him saying the line twice? I always thought it was a mistake!

Yeahh I have a 7 plus right now and honestly am very interesting in getting the 13.

@@JusFoNo oh yeah for sure. They are definitely pricey.
Scrolling through some of the comments and I really don’t understand why and how haters even end up on videos and channels they don’t like lol. Like do they make it their job to actively hunt down videos and channels they disagree with? Lol.
But besides that, great video! I like how you touched on many different aspects of the phone!
It's called an opinion..
I’m so glad that apple waited to make the 120hz display as best as it possibly could be; it makes a lot of sense to me if the phone knows the text will move slowly then it does not need to go all the way up
I think your wife brings up a great point; the camera looks very powerful and professional!
Yes! Which is great!
Take that MagSafe wallet and touch it while its attached to phone…you showed attached like it stays on good. NOT it falls off so easy and you loose it and the contents. Heck the MagSafe charger is barely on the phone so dont pick it up by the cable.
Thumbnail is awesome , who designed it ?
It was a screen grab from a broll clip. Angelika found it and I edited it (Vadim)

Great production quality.
As well as an awesome improvement- as well as an awesome improvement
As of watching this video on my 13 Pro Max ive had 11h 50m of screen on time today and am currently still at 19% battery without using low power mode. Battery life was one of the things holding me back from switching to iOS but Im super happy that apple has done such an amazing job this year!
I got the 13 Pro Max last week! I’m at 7 hours of screen-on time & my battery is now at 11% 😔
I was a 10 year android user I left my 1+7 pro and came over to iOS so happy with the 13 pro I did do my research though I knew it was time
This was a very good review. The intro shots were amazing!
Not gonna lie, the quality and every detail of the new iPhone in this video, everything is perfect. I love it ❤️
I agree man, traded my 12 Pro Max in for the 13 Pro Max basically for free and it’s def a better upgrade than what I thought! You’re spot on
The production quality on this video is really good.
You need to continue adding more different shots like this.
Great video.🙌
Im still using my iPhone 7+ and I would say its holding up reasonably well after 5 years, but its starting to show its age by freezing up every once in a while. It is also only the 32GB model and it is out of storage.
32 g wow!?? I would of been out I get the 128 and only use about 32 to 35g so 128 is more than enough for me..I traded my 12 pro max in and still had 98 g left

I've opted for this, I already had a 12 pro after being a long time android user but I wasn't satisfied with the battery on the normal pro. I normally wouldn't change my phone after 12 months but after coming from a huawei mate 20x I missed the all day battery. I should get my new toy within a week :)

Upgraded my xsmax to 13maxpro few days ago ☑️ OMG 😱 WOW JUST WOW! ❤️🔥
I just got a 13pro, I must admit the first thing that made me say “wow” was the screen quality. I noticed it instantly 😃
Awesome review! Best one I’ve seen. Thank you very much.

I actually like the camera bump of the s21 ultra because it gives more protection to the lenses.
Every change (small or big) is huge for this guy :))))
Instantly noticed 120Hz as soon I unboxed mine. 👍💪

The notch makes it look outdated!Still ain't convinced.
Before I bought the XS i thought the notch was horrible and i had the note 8 before but i never notice it

I feel the difference everyday in my wallet by not upgrading my IPHONE 12 Pro Max.

You are the BEST tech reviewer EVER!
I smashed the sub button!
Yeah he obviously doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Great job!
This is actually the next level quality content😀😀❤️
Really appreciate it
Hey! One of the main reasons normal consumers don’t recognize the promotion of the new device, is because even though the earlier iPhones are 60hz locked, those iphones still detected your touch input 120 times a second, so even though it’s not smooth visually, it still has that buttery smooth feeling with the responsiveness.
Maybe you guys should change the studio layout once in a while. Its good right now but some changes will be even better.
The matte finish stops all micro scratches as far as I can tell.
loved the intro!
