The first documentary about the Human-Leopard conflict in Sri Lanka approaches the conflict by analyzing past and present cases of man-eating leopards in Sri Lanka and what led to their strange behavior. Unlike India, man-eating leopards in Sri Lanka are very rare. But by tracing some prominent cases of man-eaters - such as the notorious 'Man-eater of Punanai' that killed over 20 people back in the 1920s - this documentary presents a compelling narrative about a conflict that will only escalate unless measures are taken to prevent it.
The problem is not too many leopards the problem is too many people. People destroy their habitat and then blame the poor leopards for trying to survive. The leopards have a right to live their lives too!
23:08 this one is blind in one eye. Oops he just informed. If humans would give respect to wildlife and not build in their territory then this killing might stop. Respect 🫡 is the key.
Colonization changed the habitation of the Sri Lankan leopards that turned them into man eaters & partly their taste for human flesh that is easily got ! ❤
Why don't the farmers understand when they move themselves and their cattle into the leopards area, the leopards will naturally hunt them. Why aren't they educated about this, why haven't the farmer's movements been better controlled? Somehow farmers and leopards need to be kept in their own areas.
In some countries, they compensate people for the loss of their livestock with money. We have to find ways of preserving natural places for animals while keeping humans safe. Animals were here first and the least we can do is learn to coexist with them. ❤

Cant really blame the Leopard, when MEN cut down more and more forest. To make way for plantations. And railways.
