I have great respect for you for building the 2014 car yourself. I've been following you on your homepage for a long time. I'm really excited to see what the car will look like on the race track. I have great respect for your work and what you do have reached there. It's nice that there are people like that
I love this, even though many of these backmarker teams and cars are forgotten, you really show how much detail and effort was put into the design of even the slowest cars, and to keep an f1 car running
Great work, looking good. I must say though, I've been a F1 fan for 45 years and in my opinion those noses in the early 2010s were a monstrosity but apart from that you've got a lovely car there. Glad to see you're getting there... 🏎️🏁
Hey, fan of the series and have been following you since you started the restoration project. I was wondering if you'll start recording these in higher resolution? I figure if you're documenting your hard work, it'd be nice if we can see the awesomeness in more detail. 480p is a bit rough nowdays, no intention to insult or anything of course. I'd just love to see the car(s) better is all :)
Wow just wow. Just found your series, it's awsome to see how you are rebuilding the car, wish I had the time and money to do something similair. Looking forward to seeing more, subscribed!
What a commitment getting this car back on the road, but also been following this project since the start of it. Got a weak spot for people who are putting their hart and soul (and lots of money) into a project in which they believe, so massive kuddo's too you Kev. As requested here if you can upload in a higher definition that would be much appreciated but your working on that one too so waiting for the next video to air. You also showed you have the old car of Beitske Visser, nice and does she know's you have her old car? Think she would like that and maybe she could help you in the future, you never know. So how much did the engine make on the dyno, or did I miss that?
Such a great build - congratulations. I love race cars with every bit of my heard. Hope to get an LMP3 soon. Why did you chose the Formula 2 Ford Engine? And how much bhp does it make unrestricted?
New here, found this video randomly on youtube feed but i'm glad. this looks like a think i want to see and two things that i want to say. On dyno part I saw a V8 engine, did you swap it or what ever to get more live from it? and second thing is the quality, although more than 480p isn't really needed, for pepole that have higher resolution monitors its a bit hard to watch but dosn't really matter
Still loving these videos, I can only imagine the cost and time this is taking - but it already looks remarkable! (Small request to to edit and upload future videos in at least 1080p if possible, I think it'll really benefit the footage!)
i cant remember which season we ran the new front wing in malaysia , it flexed to much and the flaps flew off, the three strakes on the wing you have were a nightmare for breaking , suprised if yours doesnt have some wet lay repair in that area
No it's not. I think it's like an F2 engine. At 08:35 you can see the spacer used to fit it to the chassis. There's another video on how that all happened which is really cool to watch.
I don’t know what the technical term for your fast fades from one short clip to the next is called - but I don’t recall anyone else using it on UA-cam. It makes me feel ill. Please revert to a straight cut from one scene to the next - no blurry fades in quick succession. Makes it hard for the eyes to refocus quickly - verging on nauseous after watching this video. Stop trying to be cute in your editing - longer clips & no distracting blur would be a big improvement. Your project is fun - but not to watch…
if you ever need a driver for it im here 😂

This car should be rated PG13
I didn’t understand this at first until I remembered how phallic the noses were in 2014
More like it should be rated for GP2
Great work!
Thanks!
an amazing series!

I've loved following this journey. It's awesome that you know exactly where that nose cone was crashed, i find that very very interesting

Looking amazing, it must be hugely satisfying seeing all this hard work paying off, well done sir, how fast do you think itll be able to go?
Great job. So you're videoing this in 480p to match the era of the car?
I’m glad it’s looking better and better, glad this video isn’t set as made for kids so we can comment!

nice, save from the scrapper, get Giedo van der Garde to drive for you! He was one of the real drivers of the car back then

Love Honey could take the nose area for sponsorship advertising .
running fully open cockpit cooling panels on rhs and fully closed on lhs
Interested to know how well you sit in these cars. Do you have your own moulded seat or do they still have the original seats?
I had a moulded seat made for £350
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!

Where do you just buy an F1 car?!
I bought it when the Caterham team went in to administration back in 2015
So what are going to do with the car now
Carbon work such as the front wing
@@caterhamf1.co.uk-2 will you be running the car soon

sorry not me
why is this guy getting dislike bombed?
well the dislike counter isnt a count, but rather a prediction so maybe its just a weird sample produced weird results
When the dyno/gearbox is louder then the engine 🫣
Is that the real engine used in the original f1 car?
I do not think so, should watch the prevoius videos.
No it's not. I think it's like an F2 engine. At 08:35 you can see the spacer used to fit it to the chassis.

It's a Formula Renault engine mate, just check out the previous videos.
F1 car??
Too bad that you've not got the original engine cos that would have made it fantastic 😊
I agree but if you watch the older videos you can see that Renault wanted £2M to rent one per quarter and then the gearbox was extra 😢
Arguably the worst F1 engine of the era. Funny how Honda suddenly wasn’t unreliable once Toro Rosso got the contract.
Great work, i still cant believe you put that shit motor in the car
I can help you if you want
it's taking too long time
pero eso no es un f1,ese motor es muy basico
f1 car without f1 motor is not an F1...
Where’s your F1 car?
