"Go to the middle" Man I totally knew what was coming after that.. P7 hits like an absolute freight train when you DON'T screw up, let alone doing so.. twice.
I hope they continue this route with vfx armored gear and style of raid. By far one of the funnest and unique with great platform mechanics being involved. Like Ive been running these normal modes without that feeling of dread compared to aspho ya know and the music is /chefkiss

Especially since the music from P5-7 has been building up, revealing itself more and more, and then is not present in P8 Especially since it has lyrics. Mechanics are great, on par with Normal Shiva and Kefka, but doesn't have either of their song changes. It does have sick motifs, but not the same impact as Dancing Mad or Return to Oblivion
@@ieyasumei4339 Maybe they are saving the real version of the track for the savage only phase. As it is right now, it is somewhat lacking for a a final boss theme.
@@ieyasumei4339 It's been confirmed p8s will have another music, if you look at the orchestrion list in-game, there's a music named something like "white heart black" that drops from p8 savage.
This has been an enjoyable watch so far. I've seen some first time videos and stuff and it's a lot of "Woah that's cool!" and "Wow listen to the music!" and stuff, but not much speculation on what savage will bring. It's been fun listening to the play by play dissection of "Okay so because this works that way, we'll probably have to actually do something with it like this..." As a casual player that would enjoy savage had I the internet for it, and enjoy talking about it at the very least, this has been pretty enlightening to see into the way high end players think as they do these things.
Infinitely better tier than asphodelos imo, so many ways the savage fights could go P7 was definitely the day 1 wall even on multiple runs to get a handle of it for each role, and p8 was somewhat disappointing, but I imagine the savage phase could be insane since it has a theme we haven’t even heard yet (current song is Embers, orchestrion has a song called White Stone Black that you get from savage)
I was considering coming back to savage for p5+ since p1-4 felt very boring to me. Sadly these bosses don't look to great to me either, so I guess my time with this game really is over.
This is the most fun normal raid in the game imo, way better than asphodelos and anything before to me

same tbh. every fight is enjoyable to me and i don't think i can say that about any other (normal) tier. savage HAS to be a banger if normal is.

Just finished myself, damn these were good. P8 felt a bit weak, but my brain is melting so I'll see how I feel next week.
In term of presentation or mechanically? He didn't feel any worse than Kefka or Shiva normal mechanically.

They took the transformation cutscene out of Barb ex, so maybe they'll do the same for carbuncle.
