Did you know there is a Bald Eagle nest in Redding California? In 2021 they had 3 eggs that all hatched and the eaglets, Glory, Honor, and Rebel, all fledged. The mom is Liberty and the dad is Guardian. There is a livestream Friends of the Redding Eagles.(it is not working at the moment) . If you search "Glory Honor Rebel eaglets" you can see several videos here on UA-cam. Jackie and Shadow are the most famous Bald Eagles in the world! It will be wonderful if all 3 eggs hatch and survive to fledge.
a beautiful family and an excellent video. I am in central Wisconsin and we see eagles regularly as we live near both water and trees, We need a ban on lead ammunition in our state, too many injured or killed .

There actually IS a local photographer who thinks the cameras are awful and is very critical of them. The cameras bring joy, wonder, and education to millions around the world.
"Very rare" that Bald Eagles Parent together? Not true. They are very good Parents & work in tandem. They hunt & bring one another food as NEVER would they leave the Nest unattended. More often the Male brings the Food to the Female but if she needs to go stretch her Wings, the Male takes over the Nest during that Time to protect it from Predators. They also remain doting Parents overseeing their Babies long after First Flight when they mature into Junior status.
This particular pair of eagles provide a learning experience and are utilized in classrooms around the country, which brings awareness of the plight of bald eagles to our future stewards of our world. Nest cameras are a great learning tool so that we can ensure our bald eagles are never on the brink of extinction again. The eagles have no awareness of the cams, and the cams serve as their voice to millions.
May we not forget while we watch these magnificent Birds that their Existence is incredibly fragile. Our Planet is losing 1,000 of Species every Year. I've always found the contrast poignant and painful that Man is the only Species that destroys its own Habitat - (& therefore destroys other Species as well). It is a rare Human that can rival the innate Intelligence of Animals.
What would happen to a person if they decided to destroy all of those eggs everyone so so interested in??? Penalties would probably be pretty severe hmmmm??? But destroy a human baby in the womb and it’s fine?? Please SMOD, fix this planet!
