  • Back when I used to watch BBC TV's Eastenders and when I still had a 4:3 TV with a couple of VHS recorders below it, in one episode in the 2000's (prior to 2008) [anyone tell me which year please] the script writers inserted a parody of the parrot sketch from #Montypython that formed part of a story-line about Dot Cotton's (and Jim Branning's) dead budgie. Never recording it at the time, I must have later recorded the omnibus broadcast and later joined the two VHS recorders together to copy / join up (looks second gen quality) the parts of the story-line. Genuis for the writers to have done this and just dropped it into the episode. Recently found when going through my VHS tape collection and try as I have, can't see this uploaded anywhere. Enjoy!

This was 2002. The episode where he went up the vacuum was 11th July 2002.
Also, don't change my mind. This is funnier than most sitcoms today.
