Whoa Nelley, someone liked their brew but too many and it's over for you. The Sagebrush Package store was located at 4856 TX-11, Pittsburg, TX 75686, and is out of business. AMC=Almost A Car or "All Makes Combined". They bought from everyone, and in the lean years, sometimes at double the price from their competitors. It was one of many reasons why they folded up and Chrysler bought them in 1987. The Jeep division is really why Chrysler bought them. Everything else was table scraps. Look at that, a shout out. LOL. When we get the tag, we can brag. The VIN always gets us the win, here we go: 1JT for US made Jeep Truck, N for 360 V8 with two barrel Motorcraft carburetor, E for automatic transmission column shift with part time 4x4 system, 27 for J-20 Pickup with 131" wheelbase, Y for 8,400 # GVWR rating, 6 is a check digit, C for the 1982 model year, T for Toledo, OH assembly (which still makes Jeeps today) and the rest is the production sequence. The Jeep division was the only good part of AMC in these years, the rest of the product line up was pretty awful. Possible code 1J Vintage Red Metallic exterior paint. the 27 in the tag should denote J-20 with 131" wheelbase, 6A for Beige Vinyl-Linen interior trim. Whoa Nelley, this Jeep is now a heap. AMC and it's over for thee. Going to be flat and that's that. Too much beer I fear. The King of Brew, it's over for you. That's it, time to quit. Got the tag, I can brag. VIN got us the win. The fluff isn't enough. It's going to get squished and we're somewhat pissed.
The 1 means made in USA. J means Jeep. Not sure about the rest. If you look at any vin of any auto maker and it starts with a 1, that car was built in the US. 2 is Canada, 3 Mexico.
The 4x4 Eagle and Spirit were not bad cars. They were just in dire need of a real design update that AMC could not afford by then. But they were ahead of their time offering what amounted to a car based SUV.
As usual I go straight to your information. I remember driving past the Toledo factory and the 78 Jeep truck I had was manufactured there according to the plate on the vehicle. 360 two barrel 3 speed floor shift and yes Motorcraft parts. That Budweiser pool table light is probably early 90's because when I managed several beer joints in my younger days everyone wanted one but there was a real one that was actually made out of wood carved at the APEX beer joint in Johnson City Tennessee that was made probably in the 60's it wasn't a pool table light but it was a lighted sign on the wall about 4 foot long if my memory is correct.
I remember those, now JEEP is or has did some sort of a come back. I had a high school teacher had bought one new but don't remember the year but I think was later then 1982.
Wow that's something you don't see everyday. If it's not going to be saved, at least save the Budweiser sign! It's a great way to grab attention at the swap meets or as a cool light fixture if you put in a LED bulb in it ^-^
I told Cowboy in the comment section of one of his videos that I hope that a Jeep nut will come along and make an offer to his boss for the J20 even in it's current condition.
Them Grills get $250 if clean around here I've sold like 3 of them over the years . doors get 200 + each if not rusty fairly easy . that tail gate just needs a little tinkering its not rusty I would grab that they are easy sell $100 needing work - $300 if very clean in primer ready to paint. I see $200 on eBay as is no rust out.
The bed and cab are the hard part on these, a lot of the rest is the same as a Wagoneer. did you get the GMC 4x4 van? I was surprised the dealer tag was still on it.
Be nice if someone saved that Jeep but it’s rough. Going to take thousands of man hours and money to get it show quality. Might be best for rare parts.
I always laugh inside when you say bezel, considering all the hate you got before about not saying it as "bee-zell" You should start saying bee-zell instead.
End of the Road for this Jeep J20.
Yep
That truck is worth money up here in the northeast.
Glad you have teamed up with Cowboy Car Crushing for a number of your finds.
That is one cool sign
thanks brother

@@thejeepdoctor I know that, I decoded the whole VIN.

@@CR7659 True but they were heaps. Poor quality, crappy carburetion, sloppy ride, cheapness throughout and just awful AMC quality.
I remember seeing this model Jeep truck in the 1996 movie Twister.
I remember those, now JEEP is or has did some sort of a come back. I had a high school teacher had bought one new but don't remember the year but I think was later then 1982.
Been many years since l have even seen one in a yard lots good parts love your videos

noooo !!! ese Platón de budweiser 😢
Oh well another one bites the dust. But no one will be sad.
I remember when JEEP was part of or built by American Motors Corporation before merging with Chrysler Corporation years later.
Man someone should save it!
The air cleaner was cool
Last of the fsj from 1962. No eyebrow over the windshield too
Hope that was saved! Never seen a J20. Not in bad shape at all
Save the light and crush the rest! There's a reason AMC wint out of business!

I always thought like most AMC vehicles that these things were ugly, I'm sure that someone out there could really use some parts off of it though.
Brother had 76 j20 chassis cab he should have kept it
Dang was that even safety glass on that front window . way that hole looks . lol
great video! hope your doing well after the snow storm last week
I think them had a 727 tourqe flight in them
Yes many did, owing to AMC buying from everyone mentality. They did that because they had small budgets, but in the end it was part of their downfall.
Dual tanks is nice. Sadly I think it’s too far gone
Worth saving someone could fix that
That 360 might be worthwhile...if I had as much space as I had a need to drag these cars home - I guess it's be a "field of dreams". :)
Yo bro that's worth some major money if you can get it grab it
The bed and cab are the hard part on these, a lot of the rest is the same as a Wagoneer.
did you get the GMC 4x4 van? I was surprised the dealer tag was still on it.
Yes no maybe so I don't know 🤓
You put the intro at the very end. Mistake or on purpose?
Crap. Mistake and I didn't know about it till now
Where is this truck? And is it for sale?
Be nice if someone saved that Jeep but it’s rough. Going to take thousands of man hours and money to get it show quality. Might be best for rare parts.
It has just enough bad spots to be to far gone really
