I know there’s so much of us wishing, hoping and praying for her. She has opened a vast number of younger people to what they can’t put words to. They just know they need more of what they can’t explain. I know the older Angels are just fluttering inside with desire and anxiety. For many of us it’s her time to change the music world.

Yes on her Patreon recently she asked fans to suggest locations and venues for concerts. There were suggestions from all over the world.
No indication on when these concerts may take place. I’m assuming at this point in her career they would need to be smaller size venues.
Being from the LA area I suggested the Wiltern Theater.
Even if in the future her popularity would allow her to fill stadiums, her vocal style is not meant for venues like that.

Even though you know she's going to surprise you, she still surprises you. Her voice is like a well-tuned Delorean cruising comfortably in mid-range, with plenty more power under the bonnet. I see bright things for our little Barefoot Princess.

I am sure that Angelina Jordan also wrote the lyrics for this song; on the one hand because they correspond exactly to her style, on the other hand because it is Toby's way of working during his writing/composing sessions to bring out the lyrics step by step from the artists through questions and suggestions, like Socrates bringing out the ideas from the heads of his interlocutors. It's also amazing how much this song mirrors Angelina's previous song "Now I'm the fool". As if it were one and the same story, only told from the point of view of both parties involved. "You're a fool to try..." - "Now I'm the fool". This thought not only influences the new song, but also sheds a different light on the earlier song. Angelina Jordan is such a fantastic songwriter, it's incredible.

Toby has written Grammy award-winning songs for such artists as Beyoncé, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Fergie, Demi Lovato, and many others. He has taken Angelina under his wing and this is their first original song to be released together. There are others in the works. No question that this song is created to display all of the best of Angelina's capabilities. It is likely that Toby co-wrote the song, but Angelina exudes grit and passion that is written on her face, and expressed in her vocals. It is she who brings this masterpiece to life! There is no question that this is the opportunity that Angelina has long anticipated. When Bad Valentine is officially released, it will surely launch her career to the next level! Peace.
The instrumentation was just beautiful...love those strings. There are so many supers to this pre-release. A jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. Her voice, as usual, just amazing, finally letting 'er rip. Her belting here was otherworldly! Bodes well for the year, for her fans, for anyone who loves good music. Yes, we too are all hoping that this'll be the tune to gain Angelina a significant amount of new attention, younger fans, etc. It's so hard to forecast such things, though; we've certainly all been wrong before with past releases. Angelina has the voice, talent, dedication (and everything else) and has put in the work. At some point, she'll release the right song at the right time and then folks who've never heard of Angelina will finally realize what they've unknowingly been missing. Cheers, man. 👼
As I’ve said before, it’s not just whether or not it’s the right song, it’s also whether or not she is promoted, which she hasn’t even yet. She is still relatively unknown.
If they really wanted to push Old Enough I’m thinking they would have tried to get her on the talk shows and actually perform some songs so she could be introduced to new potential fans. Maybe she felt she wasn’t ready yet. Even in her recent talk show appearance in Norway it was just an interview, no performance.
@@pjg58x No argument that promotion, morning/late night talk show appearances, etc., will be important to provide a snowball effect re: popularity, increased streaming, bigger performance venues and the like. I just fold that into "right song, right time," that's all. I have to think that when Angelina and her team/collaborators feel like she's as ready as she can be for a media blitz and what tends to follow from it (i.e., right time) and they have the song that they're as sure as they can be will appeal to their target audience, then the push will be made (if it's ever going to come). Just remaining patient and hopeful here..

She absolutely hit this one out of the park. Angelina seems to be teaming up with the right crowd in her musical journey. You can see the direction....now the really hard yards...the gigs the songs the releases the concerts....and the chemistry to bring it all together....i find that daunting for any performer. But if anyone can achieve it i believe that Angelina Jordan has to be heading for that center court. I know as long term fans we all wish her well and are excited about her next step in what has already turned out to be an amazing journey.

Yeah this has a real shot for sure. I loved her EP, but it was more something she could change the game with, influential, if she was already as respected and anticipated as she ought to be. This is potentially much more alluring to help get to that point. I had a moment myself man. Angelina Jordan has arrived to me. Getting through the teenage and world facing stuff, comfy and confident, a stone cold killer like when she was younger and didn't know any better. Just twenty times better. There will be more nights like this as we go, she's gonna mess us up man. 😍🤩.
Hi Jesse, there was a new live version of them both doing If I Were A Boy in a tiny venue dropped on the Sofar Sounds channel just yesterday, with excellent audio quality. For many angels it is their new prefered performance of the song. I'd love to hear your take on how it was done technically.

Real hit and breakout potential for this song but no matter how great it is it will still come down to if and how it’s promoted. Even then, with over 100,000 songs released everyday the majority are probably never heard except by the artist’s fan base. There are probably many great songs that will never see the light of day. The industry is so competitive now and unfortunately who makes it and who doesn’t isn’t always necessarily based on who is the most talented.
I think we all feel that her originals that she released last year were all worthy of being hits but there was little to no promotion. We’ll have to see if she and her team feel the time is right to really begin to market her.
If I Were A Boy was a Tobie Gad project with Angelina as a guest vocalist. Although she worked on this song with Toby I’m assuming it will be released under Republic as she is still their artist. She worked with several different producers on Old Enough so I assume Toby would be the producer on the studio version of this song.

So, this joining with Toby Gad is going to open a lot of doors. Angelina has been the beneficiary of quite a few breaks, not that she doesn't deserve or shouldn't deserve them still she has had endorsements from many names in the business. Toby is just the latest. Then she has Republic Records supposedly giving her preferential treatment, but I am having a hard time seeing any evidence of them putting her in places to develop. Also, he relationship with Heidi Klum has given her several opportunities to get her name and talent out there.
Interesting that this is the same stage that Adele was discovered on.
Amy was good as we all know, but Angelina is a far more versatile vocalist who can sing the genres she wants, With all due respect, her vocals are stronger and some level up compared to Amy. Anyone who knows music knows this. It's just not correct to mention! So we should probably start saying that Amy had a bit of an Angelina sound, don't you agree?
