- Hello guys! If noises are something that make your head go crazy, I know how to help you! In this video there are solutions for suspension noise, interior doors and much more! This information can and should then be applied to all makes and models and to other areas of the car! For the dismantling of the door linings, there is a video below in the description that will also serve as a solution for water ingress into the car. Something very common in these and other brands of cars with metal covers inside the doors, BMW, VW for example.

Great video! Explicit tips like these are what we need as Alfa owners! 👏I have a complete brand new suspension on my Alfa 147. Everything! Yet I still have a sort of clonking noise in the rear while driving over bumps that cause vibration. It sounds like some heavy piece would jump around in the boot. I have done the whole suspension work myself so I know for sure that every bolt is torqued to spec and quality parts were used. It drives me crazy because I just can't identify what it is. It also doesn't sound like rubber or squeaking. A bit like shock absorbers that are completely dead. They are also brand new and work perfectly fine. Anyone else? 🤨

The center bushings on the sway bars, are they good?
@@alfaromeonoproblem LOL That's the only part I haven't replaced. I have new ones laying around but as I had everything disassembled I checked and they still seemed fine. But thank you! I will replace them and we will see if it works!
They are a very common failure item on these.

Great video, very meticulous as always! My back seat bench is loose as my white clips for holding it in place are broken and I cant source locally, is there any way to hold it down without the clips?

Do those grooves on the brake rotor mean it is ready for replacement?
Ah, I hate when people lower the cars. It messes up the suspension geometry.
The passenger airbag is still in the off possition.
Some discs have marks for replacement yes, but this ones do not

No and yes. The grooves are present on disc like this with age.

Comprei a espuma que mostras aos 27:12 para forrar o interior das quartelas de forma a isolar um.pouco as vibrações e tentar melhorar a acústica dentro do carro. Recomendas essa finalidade ou nem por isso?

Hello! My 159 does a metallic "clanc" just when going over speedbumps and sometimes whem taking a sharp curve at speed and the car incline more
Sometimes even on speedbumps it doesnt do the sound, just sometimes and sometimes from the left, other times from the right, sometimes on both sides
Hello. Check out the plastic bump stops on the front shocks. They usually break off.

I’ve a Busso GTA 156 front noise. Thinking it’s upper wishbones??? It’s a low speed creak. Not a metal on metal ball joint. Just creak. Very similar to this noise from the rear. On the front my 3.2 156
Hello. Very common on that platform. Upper wishbones and or sway bar bushings.
Disconnect the drop links and dice the car to see.

hey! Great video. I can hear in both B pillars a noise which if I'm correct comes not from the inside of them. it must be the doors When the road is bumpy i can hear that sound. if I open the door while moving it stops. it must be the vibrations somewhere between the doors and the b pillar. any ideas? thanks again! its an alfa 159
Hello. Never seen that on 159, but I've seen it on some other cars. Door Locks are the issue. Make sure the door latch is tight and the pillar itself is not cracked.
Try also to adjust the door a bit in too.
@@alfaromeonoproblem thanks! I searched in some forums and that seems to be the problem. its a rattling sound. Its either the locks or (as crazy as it sounds) the front mudguard. I tried adding tape for electrics to the lock holder, it made some progress but the door needs some effort to close. Is there any video showing the door adjustment? thanks again
@@alfaromeonoproblem solved: I put some ptfe oil on the rubber seals the door is touching when closing. now it's quiet.

Confesso que fiquei estupefacto quando disseste que se tinham esquecido de apertar tudo como deve ser... Não sei o que se terá passado mesmo sendo os 2 parafusos mais escondidos. Esse carro vai sempre para quem sabe da poda.
O serviço de alinhamento é quase sempre feito por outras entidades que não as oficinas. Logo, nem tudo pode ser garantido pela oficina ou o técnico.
Neste caso o serviço de alinhamento comentou um erro e infelizmente e a oficina que tem de "comer" com o erro de outros.
@@alfaromeonoproblem certo, de facto o mecânico não pode ser culpado de tudo e tem de poder confiar no serviço de terceiros senão não fazia mais nada que era conferir tudo e mais alguma coisa. E mesmo assim já devem aturar muita coisa.

Exatamente. E infelizmente não foi o único que encontrei. Depois fica sempre o diz que disse e a quebra de informação.
@@alfaromeonoproblem o problema é que é sempre o mesmo a dar a cara, quem entrega o carro ao cliente no final. Isto tem tudo muito que se lhe diga, não deve ser nada fácil. Enfim.

Hey, sometimes when going over some bumps I hear some clunk. I have noticed when driving fast in long right bends, that I feel on the steering wheel that something is crunching on the front left wheel. The steering wheel is not shaking or mooving left-right, but I still feel distand crunching through it. I mean, it feels like it is not on the steering wheel itself, bur far away.
Is that usualy a track rod end, or the lower or upper arm, or stabiliser link, or what?
It is very hot this week, and I don't even have time (due to furnisnihg the appartment with kitchen and so on), so I will only be able to jack up the car and check it maybe in a few weeks. And I want to have the new parts at hand when I do so. And if it is not that part, I will leave it as a spare for the future.
Hello. Normally the top control arm moves sideways and also the shocks bump stop holder brakes off.

@@alfaromeonoproblem I jacked up the car and checked for play on the wheel (side to side and top to bottom). I did not feel or heard any play. The top arm I tried moving side to side with a crowbar and it did not move (only little, as much as the rubber would allow). On the bottom arm I was only able to access the rear bushing. It looks a bit cracked on the top, and there is a mark on the metal where the side (middle) rubber part of the bushing was touching. But I did not know how to check for play on that.
Also, I checked the rear wheels for bearing noise, but I think it is the brakes. The right one spins freely but the left one stops when I turn it and let go. The brakes are binding on that side. I hope it is the slider pins, not the piston that is binding. Or the pad, because the brake "hardware" is old. The discs are worn to "zero", the pads look new. The hand brake is equally released on both calipers.
Why not replace the brake caliper bolts?

More things were bad and later replaced, like the front fog lights
Sorry to ask again about Sandero I, but the remote locking/unlocking has started to sometimes not work. I checked the battery, it measured 3V with no load (which does not nesseserely mean it is good, but it is not low at least), and cleaned the contacts in the key. What is usually the problem here?
BTW, since there is no Alfa which I would like for sаlе here, I think that I will go and take a look at one 159 2.2 JTS 2010. It has been in the аds for a few months already, probably because of the pricе (5.600). The color is light metalic gray, the worst possible color for this car. The most boring color. It makes the car not noticable on the road. But there is nothing elese available...
Hello. Working on Renault products is the absolute worst for me.
But wiring and grounds seems to be the mais issue. Along with the UPC UHC units.
The exact reason I do not know sorry .
About the Alfa, you think you can live with that decision?
@@alfaromeonoproblem Thanks. Well, my plan is to get something I can, like that "boring" color 159 and drive it until a good Brera 2.2 or 159 TBi appears.
I think on my 159 I am missing the plastic inner wheel arch liners on the rear wheels. The from ones have plastic around the wheel, but the rear wheels have fabric around them. Not sure what is the deal with that.
Maybe they are aftermarket ones.
@@alfaromeonoproblem Thanks. I just went out to take a look and they look factory too me. Maybe they are for better sound insulation, because bank bought it new as a company car for a director.
Maybe they are like that for colder places to be better for letting go of the snow.
@@alfaromeonoproblem I don't think so, since we don't get much snow. Never mind, they work good and are not damaged. It is just that I have not seen such thing before, but then again I was only envolved with economy cars. This car on the other had is a proper premium car. Very high quality.

Do you happen to know the part number for the floor clips for the driver's floor mats (the black ones, for the 159)? One of the two (the left one) is missing on mine. I asked the dealer to take a look and see if they can get it fixed, and they later wrote: "Mats not original and not fitting the clips. Nothing that can be done." Like, WTF? DId they even understood anything I had asked them...

Yes it is the lower seat, i know about the plastic clips and i have ordered them but it seem that there is 4 hindges that needs to be clipped in, two at the middle of the seat and two at the very back it seems impossible to push the seat under the back hindges if i connect the middle one and vice versa hahahha
@Gnocke strange. Maybe someone bent them or of shape. I will try to get one of those to do a video
