LED headlights for Alfa Romeo 159 [bi-led projectors, DRL, led bulbs] DIY manual without disassembly

- Complete conversion of Alfa Romeo 159 / Brera headlights to LED without disassembly.
Replacing the projector with bi LED, changing all the light bulbs with LED, installing DRL.
Step-by-step instructions and the result of the modification are in this video.

01:11 Step-by-step instructions:
01:14 1. Clean the headlight
01:27 2. Take out all the old light bulbs
01:38 3. Screw in the adjustment bolt completely, using an 8mm wrench or socket to allow access to all projector mounting bolts
01:52 4. Unscrew the bolts that secure the projector using a TORX T8 wrench
02:00 5. Take out the projector
02:06 6. Install the adapter/frame onto the new projector
02:14 7. Install and screw the new projector into the headlight
02:21 8. Install the DRL + turn signal bulb, connect them to the wiring 02:50
02:28 9. Install the high beam bulb: first insert and secure its adapter, and then the bulb itself
02:35 10. Route and connect additional wiring from the high beam to the projector’s high beam
02:56 11. Insert and connect the position light bulb using canbus resistor
03:05 12. Connect the low beam lens wiring to the headlight wiring
03:13 Close/tighten all protective covers
03:16 Results:

I actually tried to find how H7 led bulb perform in alfa 159 low beam projector, and found your video instead.
Have you tried regular led bulbs for low beam, prior to changing entire projectors? Is it that bad that I shouldnt even try with easy/cheap solution?

Montując w ten sposób soczewkę bi LED tworzy się szczelina między soczewka a pierścieniem chromowanym do którego oryginalna soczewka dochodziła . Przynajmniej u mnie tak było. Przybliżylem soczewkę bi LED do tego pierścienia za pomocą adapterów i śrub . Jak to wygląda u ciebie patrząc na przód lampy ?

just replacing the stock projector you cant install angel eyes (because it will be inside the headlight).
to install angel eyes you have two options:
1 - disassembly the headlight and install it
2 - buy bmw 😂

PD: The foglights in the description are not compatible with the 159. I bought it, and they don't fit

mine connected to the gearbox fuse, but there are another fuses you can connect it
foglights fit if you install it not from front side but from the inner side

1) Led can Bus T10 , I have to buy hard or soft shell?
2) LED DRL bulb + turn signals, wich version i have to buy PY21W (1156 150°) or P21W (1156 180°)
3) To conect and route high beams, i have to conect in a especif sequence ? i need aditional wire? wich especification has to be this wire? i need new adaptor to conect the wires?
4) where i have to conect the terminal of DRL bulb?

What's the difference between the first projector and the high beam laser as I only see you fit one of them?
the first one has regular high beam LED unit, the second one has laser LED with separate lense

Strictly speaking this should fail the UK MOT as section 4.1.4 of the testing manual states "Existing halogen headlamp units on vehicles first used on or after 1April 1986 must not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs." However if you just fit the projectors it would be difficult for most testers to tell, you would need to make sure you fit RHD projectors though.
I bought the fog lights given in the link, but the sockets are not compatible😟159 is not a H11 socket

The problem with these LED conversions is that they blind the oncoming traffic if the LED bulbs aren’t designed well, and those cheap chinese bulbs aren’t the best I would guess… I’m using the high quality Philips Ultinon Pro9100 LED H7 bulbs in my Brera for Low and High beams and they even passed the DEKRA annual check.
It seems to me that you didn’t watch the video carefully, I don’t use light bulbs in the low beam, but I use (replace) a FULL projector with LED chip, which is designed to make light according to all standards
