You are well done. Changing an engine in such conditions is very difficult, but you did it. It will be interesting to see the analysis of the engine after the timing belt breaks.
Hello, thanks for watching! I believe the other engine blew out the belt because of a bad tensioner. A croken one, then it rubbed on the dust guards. The customer didn't want to go any further. Next month a video for the troubleshooting and repair of the symptoms at the end of this video.
Well done Bruno. Why are you not renovating the alternator and starter motor while they are easy to reach and mount? You should consider replacing the crank seal, but you have maybe already done that?
I have the same car. Hats of sir, really time consuming work. The car is great. ECU’s for this car are really hard to find. They tend to broken because they are in the hottest place of the engine bay. If anyone has links where to get those, please share.
Hey Bruno, what are the yearly road taxes in Portugal for such old vehicles? Is it really true people need to pay even up to 1000 euro for an old diesel car? In Poland we don't have that tax yet, but EU wanted to force us to introduce it as one of the milestones and targets of the recovery and resilience plan. Fortunately that milestone was abandoned by now, after the new government renegociated it with the european commission. But I'm afraid it is just postponed and in few years they will come back with that tax. If they have me pay 500-1000 euro yearly for a 15-20 year old car, then I will probably never more afford to have one at all :(
Hello. Until 2007 normal cars pay around 50 euros a year. This one around 150. After 2007 the average is 300 a year for a normal car. The more co2 it produces, the more we pay. A few months ago they wanted to pass a law to basically and a zero to the tax. Forcing people to buy new electric cars.
@@alfaromeonoproblem I hope and pray something changes about all that environmental madness after the EU elections. I just hope that national governments stop ripping us off, if they see that the EU hopefully eases on the ecological stuff. Eventually it's not that people keep using old cars because they hate the Earth and want to destroy it. It's just because they cannot afford a brand new vehicle or a newer used one, and at the same time they have to get here and there somehow. It's like punishing people just for not being rich enough. That's how I feel about it.
2h video tutorial,only Bruno can this,respect bro😉
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked it
You are crazy, and we love this 😊
Thanks for watching
I love watching mechanics working on Alfa Romeo cars! Have myselve a 156 1.8 on LPG and it still runs great and has 303K on the odometer.
Nice, thanks for watching. LPG is not my thing, keep the flash lube working
thank you for this very complete video !
Thank you very much for watching!

Great video thank you for sharing. As a 156 Busso driver like me it is very good to see this work. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Great video, keep up the good work! :)

Hello. The costumer did not want to spend anything more. A lot of things were not done.
I actually lost money on this job.
@@alfaromeonoproblem Ok. Hope they work or it will be almost the same work all over. Did the customer replace it with a 2.5 or upgraded to a 3.0?
@Goc67 the same 2.5. it's illegal to modify that
@@alfaromeonoproblem WTF? All that work and you lost money??? What happened? :O

Yes, I have a GTA here with a bad ECU too
Only on later cars, from 2002 and onwards I believe. I have a 1999 and the ECU is cool and safely located inside the car above the passengers feet.
Que grande motor, já andei num 156 com este bicho instalado, eu ia à pendura e tiver que pedir ao condutor para desecelarar, parecia que voava. :)
Muito obrigado por ver o vídeo. Mais do que a velocidade, o som é muito especial
Super🥰
Thanks for watching
would the cooling be more efficient?

Hello. Check down on the description
I wish I had a V6 in 159, but I can't aford registration and fuel. :/
They say it's not quite the same...
@@alfaromeonoproblem V6 is a V6. Sound and reliability is not as good as the Busso, but the JTS is at least more powerful.
@DashCamSerbia never seen one, so far. Maybe one day.
who on earth would commit sacrilege by converting a Busso to LPG??? Their place is reserved in the ninth circle of hell.
It's a thing here in Portugal...
would it make sense to put a 164.3.0v6.12v alfa, e.g. a 156 or 166.3.0v6 radiator?
Hello. Cannot say, mods is really not my thing
