HI Livio. I prefer long form video. I feel that it better represents the cocktail, the ingreients, the parts that people don't normally see. I am fully behind you in this.!1!!

Livio, I think you are uniquely positioned, given your actual profession and experience, to share stories and information many other channels can’t. I personally enjoy that most about your channel. That said, you can choose to share those stories and information in both long and short format, depending on the need. Whatever you decide, don’t compromise what makes your channel a reflection of you. You’ve always got a fan here, brother. Saluti! 🤙🏽

Thanks for your thoughts Vino. I always appreciate your insights my friend. Since the overwhelming comments are in favor of longer videos I will likely keep the usual format and add a bi weekly longer video where we talk about a story with a cocktail connection. Cheers Vino!

If there's story to tell, tell it! If there's a cocktail to make, make it! If there are tastings to do, do it! If there's content for a short, clip it! 😉👍👍 After all, you can't please everybody. But it's important that *you* have fun doing things and deliver that good mood through our screens. ✌️😎

I like both curated content and shorts; but I favor curated content. I don't not seek out shorts over longer formats. I've seen shorts used successfully when you are trying to share a spec for a cocktail, the spirits you tend to favor in the spec and effective ways to tweak the spec to your palate. I also believe shorts are "easier" to produce; thus increasing the frequency of uploads. So if the curated content takes 2-3 weeks to produce you can drop shorts in between curated pieces so that you are dropping content on a regular cadence.
I think you have a great feel for compelling content. I enjoy the videos you create. More of the same please. In particular, I really appreciate when you bring us cocktail culture from specific countries across the globe. Here are just four of your videos that highlight this point for me: 1. The caipirinha is the national drink from Brazil and here's Armando Rosario to show us how he makes them in Brazil. 2. Here is how to enjoy Italian amari. 3. Italian aperitivo culture. 4. Anise by country. Every country has popular cocktails and a unique cocktail culture. I appreciate your effort to share those with your audience. The world is a big place. We can't get to every country. Please continue to take us to places with delicious cocktails and fun social experiences.

Not a fan of shorts, as a general matter. I prefer hanging out with you for a while at a time, because I like you, I learn from you, and I enjoy watching what you worked so hard to prepare. Where you go, I will follow., as I believe we have similar interests in the spirits world. Ciao amico!

Livio, I would absolutely welcome seeing more long content videos. I absolutely agree with you that there is too much valuable information to be shared about cocktail history and culture to be shared in a format that would equal the space of an ad. I have always learned a ton from you and what you present. I look forward to the idea, can't wait.

Livio, what makes your channel so special is the mix of culture, traditions, and technique! I think longer videos would be superb, and excellent for the program you have laid out for us since the beginning. I'd like to know more about the bartenders in your new book. How about a comparison of the evolution of cocktails in the US and in Italy? Episodes 1, 3 and 5 about Italy; and 2, 4 and 6 about the US. I love the episodes where you evaluate, side by side, amari and other lower ABV beverages. Tell us more about lower ABV beverages. You are a rare person with vast experience on both sides of the Atlantic. I very much like the curated idea, not live. Also, Italy is very different according to region. How about a series, a la Stanley Tucci, where you show us the different cocktails, wines, liqueurs, and traditions of all 20 of Italy's regions? In short my friend, the sky is the limit - just follow your particular passions and your particular knowledge. Best of luck ! 😀Thanks so much, and keep up the great work !

LIVIO!!! One of the things I appreciate about your channel is that I learn a LOT!!! That said, I prefer the longer formats featuring the history, comparisons, and the classroom feel of your videos. I don't really watch shorts, because I don't feel I learn much in those. As one of your students, a def prefer your current style of videos!!! CHEERS my brother!!!

I enjoy the longer content with stories and historical information. I often listen to 10-30 minute videos while I work out or in the car. HOWEVER, the shorts will definitely help drive traffic to you channel and get you new subscribers.

    Hi Livio!
My feedback is to explore your interest of doing long-form---you can always pivot if you choose.
Doing what interests you will also help make the project more sustainable.
While short-form videos help to get a lot of immediate views, long-form allows for deeper conversations and viewer connection to your channel.
Also, you can make shorts out of your long-form highlights.
I think you have a good on-camera presence and the right kind of voice & cadence to pull-off long form videos on cocktail/spirits content.
Your strategy for not wanting a podcast also makes a lot of sense to me--never thought about it like that.
And as you said, people could put their phones down and just listen if they choose.
    I'll be watching/listening for it.
    Good luck!

I wish all these platforms would stop pushing short-form videos. They got scared when Tiktok starting eating into their market share, and rather than innovating they figured they could stop the bleeding by just copying what Tiktok was doing. It's not working, and some of us are getting tired of it.
Furthermore, there may be content creators who I only want to watch in short bursts, but you're not one of them. You obviously have a lot of knowledge and passion for what you do, and I'm happy to spend a longer time learning from you. Depending on the specific topic, that might something I focus on to the exclusion of everything else, or it might be something I put on in the background while I prepare a meal. Either way, I'm just glad you're providing good content for us!

I agree with you: no shorts. Your persona & depth of knowledge needs to be seen & heard. I’d like to see guests & you interviewed in a bar at various towns in Italy where that Amaro has history & talking about that history & cocktails their Amaro is used in as well as consumed by it self.

I think it's a great idea. Why not start off with some deep dives into Italian drinking culture or hospitality. Something that's easy for you to put together and then progress on to less familiar content like rum and the transatlantic slave trade.
