I will be watching them 100% you have helped my son and myself out already but you gave us the super deep bug I’ve changed out my electronics to simrad bought a electric reel and rod we going to go out give it a crack when we get a chance next open session anyway cheers bro thanks for the content
Another great vid thanks mate. I’m looking for my first slow jigging overhead. Do you think the F custom is worth the extra dollars, are you a fan of the fall lever? Thoughts appreciated, cheers
Thanks Mate 🤙 The fall lever is handy for controlling overspooling with heavier weight jigs imo such as bottom meats and at depth. I’d get something within your budget, as plenty of others OH on market. They F customs are not wildly selling off the shelves for good reason. The low drag pressure on this size reel isn’t ideal for most, but for me which I might explain in a future dhu video, stops them bricking you in caves. Probably wouldn’t be the same for other species though.
I'm confused!!. Watching this on 7.11.24. You Tube says this was 4 weeks ago but you mentioned the Demersal ban had passed so might have been sometime in Sept to October. If that is the case, you can not return Dhufish because they "are too small." No matter what size they count as 1 fish . Ridiculous but true, eating the babies obviously makes the future a bit grim. If it was not in 2024 then it was a $4,000 fine for not releasing undersize Demersals without a release weight.
Hi Rodney, Not sure where you get your misinformation from, but there is no rules in place that you cannot return Demersal fish to the water. We carry a release weight as this is a mandate, and if we had to use it, the fish would not be released to mitigate any risk to its survival. If you’re unfamiliar with our rules in the west coast bioregion, please read here: www.fish.wa.gov.au/Documents/recreational_fishing/rec_fishing_guide/recreational_fishing_guide.pdf Alternatively, you can reach out to us on our socials.
