God is all around us. Sometimes when we don't listen to someone that is speaking, they stop. Repent, pray, draw near to God and listen for him to speak again. Seek and you will find. Knock and he will open.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus".

I pray and talk to GOD on and off all day almost every day, I read my Bible almost every night. For a while now I haven’t been able to feel GOD, though I have felt that Holy Spirit a few times. I have all the faith in the world, as a matter of fact my faith has strengthened since my son was killed a little over a year ago and I felt that to be a little strange, but I love Him with everything I have and everything I am but I don’t have a secret place to actually spend time with him and I live in a house with only one other believer, I do find that I haven’t been spending as much time with the LORD AS I USED TO BUT WHERE I LIVE I HAVE NO PEACE AND QUIET and the only time I have where it’s quiet is around midnight to 3 in the morning and I find myself a lot falling asleep reading my Bible and I feel like I’m letting my HEAVENLY FATHER DOWN 😢

Well to help just a lil bit, I get it when you say you don’t feel God but you do feel the Holy Spirit but it’s important to remember that the Holy Spirit is Gods Spirit, so god is with you, and for the lack of peace and quiet to pray I understand completely, sometimes it hard to find somewhere to do it, but even if that quiet moment is gonna last like 3 minutes I rather take that 3 minutes to be with god and while ur at it pray for some peace, it’s always good to just go to god and ask him to help, even if it’s little, it shows you willing to give god anything bothering you wether it be big or small, but god bless you, amen ❤

Maybe take a walk to a place that you can get alone for a moment or wake up early. Have you considered telling the person you live with that you need a moment of quiet time for your relationship with God? If they are a believer as well, they should understand

Thank you, Jesus, and thank you too, brother, for this message. I struggle a lot with doubts and inactivity in certain areas that I feel strongly that The Lord is calling me into, and I needed this encouragement.
Just after I watched this video, I immediately went to The Bible. I usually ask Holy Spirit if He has something He would like to speak to me about (in my head), and just deliberately focus on the fact that He WILL respond, and so, what I do is either close my eyes and put my finger on the part of the pages (with The Bible closed) wherever Holy Spirit leads me to, or simply focus on where my eyes and sense are drawn (to a specific part), then open on that page.
After I watched the video, I realized I've been feeling this way, like being dry inside, and in my mind I just thought: "I'm not even going to speak, I just want to be silent and listen.", and I opened The Bible on Acts 23, and read all the wau through Acts 28, which is the last chapter of the book of Acts.
The same situation that you've gone through was the same situation that Paul went through, and I've been suspecting, for a loooong time, that this is the case for me too, because I have a lot of things that I wouldn't say I'm exactly "proud of", and to be honest, I hadn't been putting enough effort on reading The Bible as much as I should.
All the way throughout chapters 23 to 28, there were multiple instances that I felt reluctant to continue reading, mainly due to a lack of forming the habit, but also because most times that I read for extensive periods of time, I end up giving up on the continuation way too easily.
That said, I wanted to go take launch, and where I live, at the moment that I'm making this comment, it's 2:28pm over here, and I usually eat at around 12 to 1 in the evening, but God kept reminding me, deep down, that "man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God", and so, coupled with this video as encouragement, I was moved to take the initiative and heard (in a voiceless, almost seemingly nonexistent manner, unless you pay very close attention to the thougbt, "No, don't go eat, read".
And also, there were a lot of moments that I felt like stopping, and I kept getting "checked", so to speak, and heard "read" many times, and I was about to do something else, and I heard again, "read".
After I read all chapters, I felt more appreciative of the fact that a lot of my concerns were based on my own negligence, and I really wasn't putting enough attention.
So, anyways, I just wanted to let you know that this video has helped me a lot and it made me feeling tranquility and joy, and I wanted to share the experience with you so that you also find the message encouraging. So, thank you! God bless you, and anyone reading this.
I'd say that there's never anything that way can give out of our time and effort that's really "enough", so the more we spend time with God, the better, and I literally just lived it right now. :)

I started getting into the word of god around 7 months ago. I was born into the Greek orthodox faith but later through my journey I realized that the orthodox faith is not the right way.
I have learned so much through following the right content creators on UA-cam, one of them being you Marcus. I am still in the early chapters of reading genesis but the amount of things I have learned about the Bible from videos and sermons is amazing.
I struggle a lot with loneliness as I don’t really have any friends. Just my mum and my sister.
But a video you made either yesterday or the day before where you said that we are never lonely as the Holy Spirit is always with us, words like that really help me pull through lonely times.
I appreciate you Marcus. God bless my my bro

I also used to struggle with feeling guilty about everything and i still do, i try my best to be patient and listen to God’s words but every time i try and i have suceeded in listening carefully and trying to applying it to my life i still felt guilty no matter what, And it wasn't that i did something bad, because everytime that i remember i've sin i repent immediately, i read the bible for hours and i still feel guilty. I started crying to God and asking him for help and i would hear him speaking to me, and instructing me on what to do, and instantly feel at peace with him and i felt calm. I feel like i got lost in trying to read scripture, that would get me closer to God but i wasn't actually reading with understanding. i was just reading it because i thought that if i don't then God would hate me. I wasn't truly understanding that reading scripture is to help in growing closer to God and having the knowledge to know him more and build a relationship with him.
Looking back at the moment i start to think that i was like the Pharisees, reading the bible but not getting the full meaning of the words, or getting to understand them more. But i have pray to God about this and I'm slowly improving and getting closer to him and i do believe that the holy spirit is working through me night and day so that i can have a real relationship with God. Because Christianity is not about religion. But it as always been about relationship, with chirst Jesus and God.
And yes it's going to be hard when your trying to read scripture if it's your first time because it was hard for me to even read one chapter a day, but when you continue reading and not giving up then you will start to like it more and more and you be able to read two scriptures a day. You will get to the point when even if you didn't get to read your bible one day you will start to feel empty. Trust me all of this is a process that takes time and we are all still grow and learning each day so lets surrender everything to God and just put our trust in him, and try our best to share our story/testimony with each other so we xan grow together as one Ame.❤🎉 thank you for this wholesome video i reakky appreciate may God continue to bless and touch everyone that watch this video, and help them to learn from it Amen.❤

It is true when i started reading the bible I used to read a random chapter a day but then, I started to just read the New Testament a chapter a day, then it shifted from me reading a chapter a day to reflexing on what I read yesterday while reading a new chapter and now I just reread the chapter I did yesterday and a new chapter today and reflect on them.
Yesterday I read 1 Corinthians chapter 14 apostle Paul talked about order in the church, that women should be quite in the Church and honestly I didn't know how to think about it. Since in this generation they are more women attending Church than men and I mean by a lot and It is because of my mother, I got to connect with Christ more growing up. Even when my dad is a non-believer he is saved through his wife my mom who is a strong believer in Jesus Christ (they are still married to this day over 35 years) because since the two are one because they are married. Now I realize that Law was for the Jews (honestly still no sure) because most Christians around the world are not Jewish so yeah. If the men aren't really going to step up then women will got too Christ word will never die out we do have women pastors.

    • @marcusdixon1
      @marcusdixon1  Місяць тому

That law was not for the Jews. Paul wasn’t only talking to the Jews and his ministry was directed towards the gentiles. The Bible is clear on that topic, however there are women leading churches. This doesn’t mean it is biblical

I’ve stopped hearing the music of this world one person I recommend on Spotify is Alex Jean. Very modern Christian music it feels for-filling knowing I’m giving up the evil music form this world there is no denying that the music being presented is evil and gives a bad message. So if I continue to listen I will be willingly sinning ,I know it wont be easy but I’m walking truly with God now I’ve given up my addictions for God I’m not perfect right now I just got out of a sad phase after withdrawing from weed. But it’s all worth it cuz I know God will grant me his peace which surpasses all understanding! Godbless you all in this walk I pray it gets easier for you to read the word of God ur already seeking him so your on a good path. ✝️🙌🏼

I pray that you let go of the fear because it comes from the enemy. I pray that you find your strength in God and become bold for Him and the gospel and spread the good news through your community.
