Despite her issues she is still a lovely doll - I really like her. I agree that these problems could have been avoided though, specially because these are not cheap dolls.

I'm currently awaiting my Zyanya Remembers, after having problems with my Fani Flamingo's hair I was already prepared for bad hair from this girl too. However I wasn't expecting stains, so thanks for the heads up on that one. It's never been a problem that I've encountered before. How would you go about trying to remove the stains and also would you soak the dress in cold or warm water to try and remove the excess black dye? I really love her black dress and would be sad not to be able to keep her in it.
I hope your doll is okay. She really has a sweet face. I've heard that Benzoyl Peroxide can be used to remove it, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do that or not because lighten the areas I put it on, which means that part of the doll body won't match the rest of it. I'm going to try just soaking the dress in water first and seeing how much dye comes out of it. I agree that the dress is really pretty. I like this doll's stock and would like to use it.

Honestly one of the reasons I wanted her was because of her stock which I thought was really unusual. It's a great shame if it's going to mess up the doll. Also it's really annoying, you would think after all these years making these dolls that Takara would know that black fabrics should be washed or treated in some way before clothes are made from it or at least provide a doll with body protection so it's never directly on their bodies.

I use benzoylperoxide on stains like these and put the doll in the sunshine for approx. 1 hour, than remove and check, repeat until only light staining is left. Make sure to wash thoroughly. The last bit will still bleach out over time, but it won't effect her skintone. Make sure you only put the benzoylperoxide on the stain itself and not the surrounding areas. I like to do that with a toothpick. As for the dress, I would soak it in water with vinegar and make an undergarment that covers her body completely. I think requiemart has suitable patterns for several dolls for this.

She is so pretty! I love her skin tone and her lips are such an interesting Shape. And her hair is a nice, natural ashy blonde. Yay that she finally arrived but... OMG the stains! That is pretty irresponsible of the company. Between that and the hair issues, perhaps it's good that a new company is getting their turn at manufacturing. As you know, I'm still struggling with my Odette's hair ends. Would love to see the results of a hair spa on Z. The overdress is cute, I bet you can come up with a pretty dress to go under it and the bow is too adorable.

With the Description, I would have thought her skin and hair would be darker. Do you think that, overall, this doll is as good as quality as the Takara dolls of the past??
Such a shame she is stained. Some of the staining though looks as if it was under the little white top she had on so perhaps she was stained from the factory? That hair too! Why is it like that? As you say if the fake Blythes can have such good hair why can’t these ones. I don’t quite get how that little over top jacket ties in with the rest of the outfit but it is pretty and I think it looks good with the little white dress you put in her.
That's really too bad about the black dress...and the hair. Looks like you will be able to fix the hair, though. Latte' looks a lot lighter than I would expect, not sure I would categorize her as a tan doll. She is really pretty, and I love the color of her lips!

I received a brand new BJD last year that arrived with both ankles broken. Luckily the company was able to send me replacement parts!

Without a doubt, older releases are much better quality. But, I'm smitten with her and plan to wash her hair and sew a special dress for her.
I really want this doll, however my favorite Takara Tomy Blythe doll is the SBL Rendez Vous Chou Chou
