The cost of living in Cambodia is definitely one of the top 3 reasons I left. The cost of living in Canada compared to the quality of life you get in Cambodia is night and day. I’m so happy to live in Phnom Penh and never have no worry about having a $8,000 property tax bill every year 😂
Glad you enjoyed PP with your friends and food looks amazing at the skybar. I was in my last year of my high school when Pol Pot took over the country in1975. Riverside remided brought me back memories as way back then with only a few cars, some mopeds, and many bicycles. There was a Muslim / Cham community across from the riverdide back then. I was with my swim team in my high school and we took a swim across the river to the other side and back. The river was calm and clean during the dry season. It seems just like yesterday. I'm a swim instructor now after my retirement as I love to swim. Can't wait for my coming trip next month to visit my sister who currently also lives in PP. If you get a chance, visit Euro Park at Borey Peng Hout Beng Sno. It's beautiful and where my sister lives. Have a good time with your friends 🎉

Thank you for all of your videos about Phnom Penh. I was born in Kampong Thom province and lived in Phnom Penh for five years during the war. I've been in the USA for more than 40 years now. I have been back once for three weeks in 2003 and one day in 2004. Yes, I still have relatives and friends in the country. But I found myself difficult to be back because they expected me to be a certain way. I don't know how to be that one any longer. So I really didn't understand what they were saying or do that much. The culture is different. Ofcourse, you don't see that part. They treat you as a foreigner. They didn't do that to me. They thought I was a certain way that I'm not. So there you go.

I’ve travelled to over 30 countries and yes traffic is definitely dangerous and I hope by following my guidelines it will help limit the risks of any pedestrian accidents while crossing the roads. I have so much experience and have seen my own friends injured due to accidents, including the death of my cousin. I take it very seriously as you will see throughout my Cambodia vlog. Great comment. That food looks great, but wow is it's expensive. I’m hoping to move & retire there in 2 years but I’ll be avoiding these western prices.
