as a survival-instructor i'd like to offer my insight from the opposite point of view. Trying to get ahead and through simulated survival-situations and having analyzed a few hundred reports of actual ones, what most people struggle the most with is the sheer amount of overall activity need throughout the day. whether you can do 30 pull-ups is rarely a factor, but simply being on your feet the whole day walking, reaching up, reaching down, straining your eyes, getting over fallen logs, maybe even while carrying load, etc. pp. *WHILE* also staying alert is a mammoth-task for modern people. many a tragic story could have ended differently if folks would just have walked one more mile (in those cases where they had to walk; be aware that staying at the site of event is usually the better option) or would not have had critical lapses in judgement from over-exertion. So, get moving. more.
This is funny, I can imagine in a disaster people like a plane crash(soft landing) in the middle of nowhere people saying ," we have to keep moving". Only to find out moving is a worse death sentence than the plane crash from lack of fitness. I see that alot with people super uncoordinated or when people come over to camp on my ranch, literally zero skills & fitness. Using a shovel for 1 min is already too much.
You are back!!! I literally rewatched few of your vids week ago just to remind myself how good they are, and now i see notif of yours. Glad you posted new video.
I am so happy that you are back. In the past 2 years i've re-watched your videos and was sad that you stopped uploading. But i was subscribed and cannot miss your resurrection :P
I have also thought that you could publish a book with all the digitized images together with their pertinent explanations. It would be amazing. Have you studied Sports Science and Illustrative Design?
I've been considering making some courses, I have a number of them in mind. Even have an illustrated book I need to finish at some point. What type of courses would interest you if you don't mind me asking?
@@moversodyssey The courses that build up on your videos. E.g. for this video, a survival movement course that illustrates a plan on how to approach this, a routine one could follow as a beginner and things to keep in mind while performing these exercises (cues that would tell us about bad form performing each of these exercises etc)
I've been keeping busy with a lot of projects. I created a local movement program for kids, started seeing more local clients and made 85% of a fully illustrated book (hopefully I'll get time to finish it soon). Honestly I'm still real busy but I missed making videos and I'm going to be doing my best to keep up with it. Thanks for tuning in my friend :)
Great poster! Seems to me it covers it all pretty much. But as I like to have info as much as possible in a digital form, I'm wondering, will it be possible at some point to purchase the poster as a download?
Glad you enjoyed the content! Here's the link to the digital poster, let me know if you have any trouble with it my friend shapeshiftersden.com/downloads/survival-fitness-poster-digital-download/
Busy for sure but doing well otherwise. Excited to get back to the channel, lots of videos I'm wanting to make. Check back soon my friend, with luck I'll have more videos produced by then
So for whatever reason whenever I click the link in the description, I get a dead link. I tried just opening my browser and typing it in with the same results. Are you having website issues right now?
Yea, sorry about that. Redoing the website after having a few issues. Here's a link to the etsy shop where you can find the poster until the website is back up www.etsy.com/shop/ShapeShiftersDen
