This is a long one but pretty dang good if you ask me. Lots of good conversations and lots of good rocks!
This is the kind of event I love. Good people, good rocks, good prices. Something for every rockhound.
I'm glad you liked it.
Wow, love a good rock show....thanks for interviewing and filming for me. It's like going to a rock show from my easy chair!
Was great to meet you, Jared, I am looking forward to see what you find out about that ocean picture stone. Thanks for the great content!
It was great meeting you as well. Shoot me an email about it.
Thank you for demonstrating how you determine the type of stone you have. I found it interesting. I've never done that. Several years ago, one of the clubmembers' in the Bristol Gem & Mineral Club, Bristol, CT demonstrated how to use Specific Gravity to identify stones.
Man I loved every minute of this video. Thanks so much for the quality stuff! One thing I've learned to enjoy over the years is the crafts people use these minerals for. At first I thought it was tacky and a waste of naturally beautiful stone. As I learn the processes involved in procuring and excavating and realize how much rock is already out there sitting around, it's become comforting to know something is being done with it and that can inspire others to do even more amazing things. Never seen turquoise inlay in a table but I could imagine that with some orbicular jasper and maybe mother of pearl on wood (I don't know anything about wood except where it comes from) would look amazing
Great video and info, thanks! Quite a little journey and some cool people :) 👍💚☮️
I watched this whole video...
While browsing through 150 lbs of rocks I brought back from my 2 week trip to Volcanic Devonian East Coast New Brunswick Canada this week!
Rawk on!! Love the show!
Thanks for watching! Sounds like you had quite the haul.
Wow what a blessing to have such an amazing generous rockhounding community! The prices are amazing and I am so impressed with the the people they are in it for the hobby plus the other rockhounds who share their rocks and want people to see there rock collections out of interest. I hope they Keep it up it's awesome!
That was a cranky little dude at 4:30. 😄. thanks for the video
Wow! These are my kinda people. Conversations and trades of dirty buckets of rocks... Heaven!
It was a good event!
That's a great idea; Rock Trade!!! You've got some nice, big specimens there. I like the idea of the social experiment as well. Oh man, it would have been so fun to come and get some stuff there, great scores to be had. Your visits with the different vendors and the various materials were interesting and informative. Super cool, thanks for bringing us along!
Thank you! I think I will try to make more things like this happen in the future as well. I think its good to get people out like this and networking with each other.
I was lurking around behind most of these shots and interviews. Was great meeting you and was great to see your take on stuff. I picked up a great tumbler, but I admit I was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of stuff to look through and people to meet. :)
Oh, I finally spotted myself in the background at 30:03. Hah! I didn't manage to hide well enough.
Oh man it was great meeting you as well!
Wow, those deals were screaming. Yet another great vid. 👍
What an amazing video! Thank you so much for taking us around the tailgate swap. I was sad to see it end.
Wow $2 for those massive slabs?!?! I’m going to be going back and forth in this video many times haha
Oh yeah the deal were great!
I have rewound this video sooooooo many times, I wish I was there so I could purchase sooooo much of Rocking Daves stuff. I am in awww and I would finally have some beautiful stuff.
That is cool that you guys do a rock tailgate swap! I should see if anything like that happens down here...
If you don't have anything like that going on you should organize one.
Hello beautiful one… power back on in Michigan after six days out …🙏🏼
Love your videos… happy to return…!
“ A professional napper…?”
Me too…😂 after the gym…!
Ha!
I'm happy you have your power back.
Awesome Video Jared! Really out did yourself. This content of meet the people of rockhounding is the missing piece of the puzzle when you look at your channel see a lot of the great adventures. the people dimension is soo good too! That talk with J Carlson about Jasper blew me away - thank you both. We know you can't replicate this video every week but when you can take advantage of these events - that would be great!!
Thank you.
I do really enjoy making videos like that and interviewing people, theirs lots to learn for the these interactions with others. I would really love to do some more shop tours as well, but its hard to find people that want to work together on things like this.
Good and interesting video. Wanted to see what you got in that grab bag!
What an awesome day we had, We met so many great people and My wife and I had so much encouragement as first timers. Jared is a great interviewer. I think his best interview was at 26 min... Just kidding. Can't wait for next years event.
I'm glad you had a good time. I'm looking forward to cutting that agate I got from you.
Wish we had a place like that in the Northeast!!! Beautiful varieties of stone and knowledgeable people, thank you! Great video!
I don't personally know this but I would think your locate rock club would be able to help you find something like this.
It looked like you had fun and great to see your friends. Have fun, be happy and stay healthy. 😷⚒
Oh yeah it was a good afternoon for sure.
An amazing video. Loved seeing all the different rocks and listening to everyone's passion and knowledge.
Chatting people is really an amazing opportunity.
Those are beautiful those slabs
You're right on! A long video but its not the size that matters. Lol. Its the content. As you say, the content is very
good and lots of great people
What an amazing idea. I would love this. I have not yet traveled to rock hound so it’s such a great idea. I buy some stuff from collectors here in Ontario, but its so expensive
That is super awesome a tailgate swap I love it 💕 I want one here in my city!!! 💜🤗
It was fun for sure.
It sure was nice talking to you at the rock show at the table with slabs. Thank you for your channel and hard work.
Thank you for saying so, I'm glad you came out and I hope you got some good deals.
Beside some of those slabs, we picked up gifts for our grandchildren. We also bought a good amount of the biggs and China hollow jaspers which I am already slabbing.
fabulous video - love the geology lessons as well. thank you
I'm glad you liked it.
I would have LOVED to have been able to make it there! Especially to get some of that Wasco Picture Jasper. I think it's my favorite of all rocks! Thanks for sharing, Jared!
The Picture Jasper sure is nice to work with.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I hope to be able to get down to that area of Oregon next year and bring home some jasper to work with. I loved the bolo ties that your friend Shawn (Sean?) makes. In my younger years before I was a nurse, I was a media sales rep for a newspaper & I often wore bolo ties and vintage Pendleton jackets inherited from my dad and paired them with a skirt. So I'm inspired to follow Shawn's example.
What a fascinating video! It was so neat to see all those people with all the different types of rock. I need one of those geode kits for my granddaughter. She is eight and homeschooled so this would be a great science project for us. Supposedly I am the teacher LOL I can't wait to see some of what you got in more detail later on thank you so much
I'm glad you liked it, I think there's a lot of value in talking with people like this and sharing these conversations. I think the geode kit would be awesome for a kid.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding it's going to happen! It's perfect ❤️
Oh I am so jealous here in Scotland looking at all these fascinating rocks and beautiful things. Pity you are so far away over the pond.
We do live in a really nice place for rockhounding.
Just got into rock hounding/tumbling this summer, can’t believe I missed this event! Also, been watching your channel for weeks now and didn’t even realize you’re in Spokane! Keep up the awesome work, guys!
Welcome to the awesome world of rockhounding!
Wow!! Those are amazing deals!! Wish I was there!! Great video as always Jared!!
I'm glad you liked it!
That was a #BucketListDay for me. Brought my Sister and Brother in Law. My Wife bought some of the most beautiful Carnelian Agates ever. Got to meet the one and only Jared, joined the #SpokaneRockRollersClub AND made an unplanned Cameo Appearance in the video! #PerfectSaturday
I'm glad you made it out and I really hope to do more things like this in the future.
Hi Jared, that was a a good video mate, all those people turning up for a Rockhound Boot Sale is quite remarkable. Mind you while our countries may b3 a similar size, America’s population is about 12 times more than Australia’s. It looks like you personally had an awesome day as well. That’s a video on its own. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin
I would love to go to Australia and explore. I would love to just drive around the Northern Territory with a fully loaded truck.
Man, that was a lot of cool stuff! I just learned so much more about jasper, so thank you!. Looking forward to visiting the Wasco area sometime soon!
If you ever have the chance to go to the shops in Wasco or Biggs just do it! I promise you will be happy that you did.
That round slab you purchased with the jasper reminds me of your logo
Ha! I didn't even notice that.
Bummer I missed it just way too Smokey for me, hope they do this again soon , really bummed I missed this show darn ,thank you for sharing 😊💙
I really think some more events like this be happening more often around here.
Would love more events like this should be fine more often around here just sorry I missed it
I had a blast. Thanks for sharing. All the rock and mineral shows in our area have been cancelled for the past year and 1/2.
It's been a bit of a bummer that the shows have all been cancelled.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding very true. I keep hoping. That's why your video was awesome.
Everything ,is just gorgeous
That meet would have just about been worth the trip out from FL. I've got a day planned to stop by that Wasco shop on my trip next year. Sure hope they're open. Gotta have some of that jasper.
Oh the Wasco / Biggs shops would be well worth a visit. Also you should stay tuned to the website cause I have plans on adding more locations do there.
I really enjoyed this video! Thank you very much 🙂
I'm happy to hear that you liked the video.
Love ur vid man xx always very informative xx awasome xx
Thank you.
👍👍cool stuff to look at, interesting conversations too.
I'm glad you liked it.
What a fantastic video!! Thank you
I'm glad you liked it.
That one I think is a barite rose. Sometimes they resembles rose's other time's not. I've got some of both.
I would love to go to a location to collect some.
Thanks for this video! My husband and I tested positive for Covid this past week so we could not make it to this event :( but maybe next year!
I hope you feel better soon and I have a strong feeling that this will be an annual event.
Great video. I must find a local group.
WOW!! Could I fill up a bucket there!!!
I know I just need to show restraint, I have already so many rocks.
Super great video I enjoyed every moment of it
Thanks for coming by and watching.
You're not a rock peddler unless you have a spray bottle within reach 😉❤️
39:02 those titanium ore is f something, never seen something like that
The stone countertop guys told me that pure silicone is the best adhesive for stone.
Thats a bummer that im missing it. Im up in colbert
Next time!
That was long, but oh so interesting. Looks like you picked up quite a haul. I was disappointed that you didn't give us a peek into your trade box as the show ended to see what everyone left.
I should of done that but it was just so hot I hit a point where I really was just like "I need to go home and sit in some AC right now!" Most of what was left some obsidian I had in there and I think the reason that didn't get picked up was because there was some really good stuff at the event that was $1lb.
I can appreciate wanting to get inside with the heat. Anything over 70 is wasted on me and when it gets in the 80s with humidity I become a recluse. I think I said this before, but in case I haven't, I'm pretty sure people melt above 100.
Awesome. I wish we can have them in Portland Oregon. Does anybody know if we have one in Portland. I would buy a lot at the $1/lbs vendor
I don't know of anything personally. Are you a member of a rock club down there? That could be a good start.
This was so fun thank you 😊 I'd be at a place like that for hours, where do u find get together such as this ? & the honor system is great really telling of character .thank you for sharing
I'm glad you liked it. Facebook is a good place to find out about events like this.
Just got some ruby zoisite cabs and they are stunning
It really is nice material.
If only I could hit "like" more than once!!!
Hello I'm so impressed by the rockhounding community. I have raw rough pink green tourmaline. How can I export my rock over there for sale?
Can you link me?
Awesome video and had to like subscribe and hit the bell for more I really want to know what all people took and traded from your truck
I feel like I missed so many things because of my kids. Thanks for the video!
I'm glad you liked it, I think this event will be happening again.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I hope it does!
Loads of goodies that was a good deal.
Oh yeah! I think this will become an annual event.
Wow! So much stuff! How'd your self-serve rock trade go?
It went really well! I think I came out on top.
That was totally amazing
Thank you.
I would love to know the other sites for these people. I would love to see if I can buy and pay shipping……😮
When is the next mineral event in spokane? Just learning and want to explore the interest in rockhounding. Just not sure where to go
It's coming up rather soon in September. You should join the facebook group to get the details.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I just did and will absolutely be there :)
Man I had no idea about this! I live right up the street and totally would have checked it out! Where can I find more info on these?
You can always hit the notification bell here cause I make announcements about stuff like this but also you can join the Rock Rollers on Facebook.
How can I find out what was in the mystery bag??? 🤣
You just asked, that's how! :) it was mostly agate and and fossils which is awesome and worth the $8.
Hey! what was in the surprise grab bag?
Some agates and fossils, I think it was worth it!
How do I find out about this type of rock gatherings in my area of Florida and does it cost anything to go?
Finding your local rock club with be a good start.
Great sir!
Thanks again.
Thanks for watching!
Yup!!!!! Thanks!!!!!
And the pendents too
How far do you go to Rockhound?
We travel all over the western US.
What is in the mystery bag?
Mostly agates and fossils.
Any idea where I can find that guy selling those beautiful slab for 2 dollars? 😅🙏
You might have to get a time machine for that.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I am willing to build one just to get those deals 😊
How do you find events like this?
Most of these things get mentioned on facebook.
I'd buy everything there.
When is it for this year 2024?
I don't think the 2024 dates have been picked yet.
This is so heartbreaking for me because where I live there is nothing like this at all! Anything like this that I may want has to be bought online. And you just don't really find deals anywhere near that online.
I'm sorry to hear that.
This is cool video. Do you sell any of your funds?
I do not sell any rocks.
Is this in Spokane
It sure is!
Super glue and baking soda dries fast! Watch out. Creates a very strong homd i use it for all types of things. Check it out. Air plane model super glue is thinner and creeps into cracks easier applied after dusting with baking soda
I will have to look into that, I have never heard of the baking soda trick.
Man you didnt show the one thing I wanted to see, I really wanted to see how your social expirement played out and what you got in trade and how many of your rocks were gone.
I really didn't think people would have been that interested in it but I guess I was wrong.
ohmygodthatobsidian!!!!!! O.O
How much does he want for the rock crusher?
For what?
@@CurrentlyRockhounding there was a rock crusher on the tailgate of that guy that said he was getting out of the business. Good for breaking rocks up for gold.?
@@davidstarr3566 Yup! He was asking $25 for it.
Wow .

When talking to the manager of the Biggs site, it is not millions of years old. It’s from Noah’s flood.
Noah called, he's throwing you overboard for stupidity.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding wow , guess I’m unsubscribing for you being a jerk. The earth is only 6000 years old like the Bible says, use your head man. Talk about stupidity, you probably believe in everything being created from nothing. The Big Bang. All you had to do was say nothing to my comment, and I would continue following. I hope you find Jesus before it’s to late.
@@kevinunger433 I didn't know you were here in the first place and you will not be missed.
This is a channel of provable facts and you bring religon into it is unaccetable.
I do not want followers like you that attemp to use the comments section as a soapbox.
Bye.
😊
Awesome EDU Bro! Sweet deals and real cool people! Can't beat it! Thanx {>
Consider the Genesis flood, approx. 4000 years ago laid down most all the layers within 1 years time.
Consider being demonstrably incorrect.
Wish I could walk with you and talk with you along the dusty way. One rock hound to another. :) Love what your doing for the community - watch all your video's thanks. Scoob
Videos are too long and REALLY REALLY BORED
