I honestly don't know how I ended up here, and I don't particularly like food channels but I love this one. It's so lively and fun, love the ideas keep up the fun stuff!!
I make ice cream pops almost the same way for my kids....I've never tried using jello for the flavoring though, that is a great idea. I usually use different juices but some of them just aren't strong enough to really get a good flavor. I will definitely have to try this. Thanks for the video!
+bestbitesforever Most of the Jello flavors work well to flavor ice cream. I am sure your kids will love it. If you make it for your kids please let me know how they liked it. Thanks for watching!
Ahhh, this is awesome. You could totally layer the colors to make a rainbow for St. Patty's Day! LOVE THIS. And still diggin' the overhead shots. Looks great!!!
cute & interesting. i never thought to use jello flavors in the no machine ice cream base. i think ill try out pistachio and cookies & cream jello next time i make ice cream.
Hi. I'm on a keto diet and can't have the sweetened condensed milk. Is that ingredient absolutely necessary? What can I use instead. Thanks. Looks great.
We make this kind of icecream all the time, adding all kinds of goodies to it. My kids favorite so far is oreo cookies...YUM! It's made the same way, we just add crushed oreos into the cream before freezing. We can't wait to try this out. We're going to the store later to pick up the ingredients. Thanks for sharing! :)
Hi, James. That sherbet looks absolutely gorgeous and mouthwatering. You have outdone yourself again. I am amazed at how it turned outdone. I have a question: what's the easiest dessert that you've ever made? Please let me know. Have a splendid week, James. :)
+Byron Chandler One of my easiest recipes that I have ever made was my 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies. Very simple and cleanup was easy too. Thanks Byron. I hope you have a great week too.
Definitely NOT for Diabetics or those who have to watch their cholesterol. Fattening but who cares? Looks soooo yummy!! I'm going to try it one of these days. ;)
I'll have to try out this recipe... very cool idea! :) I prefer sorbet over sherbet... but my favorite sherbet flavor is raspberry. (Even better if it's blue raspberry.)
You are awesome......can you awesomely come up with a treat it cake that uses white "chocolate" instead of the usual cocoa-based kind? Thanks in advance, and rock on!
In the 1920s & 30s, there was Jell-o Ice Cream Powder, in Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate, Maple, and Unflavoured. The gelatin gives it a smooth, even texture.
When you say the boul has to be chilled for an hour, do you mean I let it in the fridge for an hour? Or should I put it in the freezer? Dumb question, but I wanna make sure.
+Ben Parra You will need something that is airy and light to mix with the sweetened condensed milk. Cool whip works great if you have that. You don't even need to whisk it. I hope you get a chance to make it. Thanks for watching!
ow this looks lovely, but can you do a vegan dish / dessert once in a wile ? I can make a lot off non-vegan stuff vegan myself but i would like some ready to use video's. love ya x j
+Jesse Voorhans Great suggestion. I will look into a good recipe I can make that is vegan. I am sure lots of people would be interested in it as well. Thanks so much!
This sorbet/ice cream/sherbet/gelato thingamajig is wonderful.......I did it with cranberry Jello; my friends (most of whom are kind of borderline out there anyway) LOST IT. A really excellent dessert. Pastry-tip it into little stemmed dishes, and wait for the praise!!
+Jaydon Beanblossom You can make ice cream with heavy whipping cream. I used it in this vide as the base. Just whip the heavy whipping cream until it forms stiff peaks and fold in sweetened condensed milk. That is all you need and you can add any flavor to it if you wish to have a flavor.
+Nicole Nielsen You could use pudding. It won't have as much of a sugary taste but I'm sure it will still taste good. I haven't tried this yet myself. Please let me know how it turns out if you make it.
+uncledadcan You could do what I did, use the entire bag lol. When I made it, I didn't have the vid handy and couldn't remember how much. After it froze I took a big bite and my God.. so potent haha.
I use Jello to make a hot drink for myself...Kinda like tea. If you don't like leaving it open, you can easily make more sherbet or make a soothing drink. Jello is hydrating and has a good amount of protein, as well as other benefits, especially depending on the type.
+katsrayoflight You will need to use a full fat cream so that it fluffs up. I don't think evaporated milk will work but if you try it please let me know. Good luck.
Also, the butter fat in the condensed milk and the heavy cream can pick up "ghost aromas" lingering in the freezer or fridge. The better it's wrapped the more the flavor and texture are protected.🙂
This looks like such an easy recipe for jello cream. I would have never thought of using jello icecream and it looks so pretty.
+Cheeky Tam Thanks Tam. The Jello really adds a perfect sweetness to the ice cream.
+FunFoods. so thats how you make sherbet with no ice cream machine
I honestly don't know how I ended up here, and I don't particularly like food channels but I love this one. It's so lively and fun, love the ideas keep up the fun stuff!!

When you say the boul has to be chilled for an hour, do you mean I let it in the fridge for an hour? Or should I put it in the freezer? Dumb question, but I wanna make sure.

If you use Cool Whip instead of the cream, do you still just use 2 cups? Whipped heavy cream would make more, right?
+okiebug818 You are correct. I would use 3 cups of Cool Whip if you are using that. Thanks for pointing that out.
Intresting
This looks good!!
+BakeEatAndGame Thank you!

I have he condensed milk and jello powder but no whipping cream can I use milk instead?
+Ben Parra You will need something that is airy and light to mix with the sweetened condensed milk. Cool whip works great if you have that. You don't even need to whisk it. I hope you get a chance to make it. Thanks for watching!

If I just want to make orange flavored how much powder would I add?
+Wojciech Podczerwinski I would do about 8 tablespoons. But you can add more or less to your own taste. I hope you enjoy your orange ice cream.
+FunFoods thanks
Do you haft to and condensed milk to it
+Jaydon Beanblossom Without the sweetened condensed milk it will just be frozen whipped cream. You need to add something sweet to it.
hello pls aw can I make heavy cream, bcus where am I I can't get it. thanks
ow this looks lovely, but can you do a vegan dish / dessert once in a wile ? I can make a lot off non-vegan stuff vegan myself but i would like some ready to use video's. love ya x j

Can you make ice cream with heavy wiping cream or half & half
+Jaydon Beanblossom You can make ice cream with heavy whipping cream. I used it in this vide as the base. Just whip the heavy whipping cream until it forms stiff peaks and fold in sweetened condensed milk. That is all you need and you can add any flavor to it if you wish to have a flavor.

Caras Life on the Farm They can laugh at you like my nephews laugh at me trying to use it.
I used to have it, but I only had one friend! Haha
Caras Life on the Farm If you get it again I will be your friend. haha. I don't have many friends on there.
If you only wanted to make one flavor, would you use a Jello packet that makes 2 cups of Jello or 3 cups?
I don't know if you got an answer elsewhere, but if he only used 2 tablespoons per quarter, it would be 8 tablespoons of the same flavor
your welcome my dad loves❤ skittles
Can you use pudding instead of jello?
+Nicole Nielsen You could use pudding. It won't have as much of a sugary taste but I'm sure it will still taste good. I haven't tried this yet myself. Please let me know how it turns out if you make it.
More ice cream please
Just curious to know, how many scoops are there from each jello pack ? (I hate storing open packages)
A lot
+uncledadcan You could do what I did, use the entire bag lol. When I made it, I didn't have the vid handy and couldn't remember how much. After it froze I took a big bite and my God.. so potent haha.

if we want to make this ice cream, should we cook it or not?
+bread90 not this recipe. There are other recipes that you can cook to make ice cream though.
I have the exact same bowls he has
can evaporated milk be used?
+katsrayoflight You will need to use a full fat cream so that it fluffs up. I don't think evaporated milk will work but if you try it please let me know. Good luck.
thanks :)
hi
how much the whipping cream I use for this recipe
and what kind of whipping cream
Ok
I like sherbet ice cream
+Jaydon Beanblossom Thanks for watching! It was good.
What the difference of putting Saran-rap and not putting any in the container?
If your container is an air-tight container it will be ok to skip the step of the saran wrap. I just used it to help so it doesn't get freezer burn.
Also, the butter fat in the condensed milk and the heavy cream can pick up "ghost aromas" lingering in the freezer or fridge. The better it's wrapped the more the flavor and texture are protected.🙂
Wouldn’t it be better to incorporate the Jell-O while whipping the cream so it fully dissolves?
I think it would
