    This looks like such an easy recipe for jello cream. I would have never thought of using jello icecream and it looks so pretty.

    I make ice cream pops almost the same way for my kids....I've never tried using jello for the flavoring though, that is a great idea. I usually use different juices but some of them just aren't strong enough to really get a good flavor. I will definitely have to try this. Thanks for the video!

      +bestbitesforever Most of the Jello flavors work well to flavor ice cream. I am sure your kids will love it. If you make it for your kids please let me know how they liked it. Thanks for watching!

    • @Funfoods
      @Funfoods  8 років тому

      +Jaydon Beanblossom You can make ice cream with heavy whipping cream. I used it in this vide as the base. Just whip the heavy whipping cream until it forms stiff peaks and fold in sweetened condensed milk. That is all you need and you can add any flavor to it if you wish to have a flavor.

      I don't know if you got an answer elsewhere, but if he only used 2 tablespoons per quarter, it would be 8 tablespoons of the same flavor

    Can you use pudding instead of jello?

    • @Funfoods
      @Funfoods  8 років тому

      +Nicole Nielsen You could use pudding. It won't have as much of a sugary taste but I'm sure it will still taste good. I haven't tried this yet myself. Please let me know how it turns out if you make it.

      +uncledadcan You could do what I did, use the entire bag lol. When I made it, I didn't have the vid handy and couldn't remember how much. After it froze I took a big bite and my God.. so potent haha.

      I use Jello to make a hot drink for myself...Kinda like tea. If you don't like leaving it open, you can easily make more sherbet or make a soothing drink. Jello is hydrating and has a good amount of protein, as well as other benefits, especially depending on the type.

    can evaporated milk be used?

    • @Funfoods
      @Funfoods  8 років тому

      +katsrayoflight You will need to use a full fat cream so that it fluffs up. I don't think evaporated milk will work but if you try it please let me know. Good luck.

    What the difference of putting Saran-rap and not putting any in the container?

    • @Funfoods
      @Funfoods  8 років тому +3

      If your container is an air-tight container it will be ok to skip the step of the saran wrap. I just used it to help so it doesn't get freezer burn.

      Also, the butter fat in the condensed milk and the heavy cream can pick up "ghost aromas" lingering in the freezer or fridge. The better it's wrapped the more the flavor and texture are protected.🙂

    Wouldn’t it be better to incorporate the Jell-O while whipping the cream so it fully dissolves?
