Thank you for your help. I noticed that the door didnt have a "FIRE DOOR" signs on it. Also check that this door is a compliance door by checking the rate label. I also put printed labels on each door in the top corner as it helped with any records and maintenance issues.
Those gaps around the door look excessive too. Gap should be between 2mm & 4mm. The intention is that the smoke seal (that you didn’t mention, you just mentioned the intumescent strip) fully fills the gap between the door and the frame.
Nice informative video. My hmo says I have to fit fire frame as well. Is that necessary? Imagine the mess of stripping old frame and putting in new ‘fire rest frame’. Also I can’t seem to get FD30S doors, which is required, mostly FD30!

The frame is as important as the fire door.
