I heard smart cap are pressurized and have good seals to prevent dust and water are the go fast campers the same.

Needs windows with screens and headliner to keep condensation down to compete with fiberglass topper. Sleeping in the bed of your truck sucks without these options.

In the other video you stand on the roof, not cross bars I believe, how much can the roof support - not cross bars. also - how high above the roof are the cross bars? ie if I put a rack on the roof will they be in line? I have kayaks (3) and bikes (2) to go on the roof . . .

Do the go fast campers prevent dust and water coming into the shell.
We use a double bulb seal around the entire perimeter of the truck bed to help seal off the outside world from the inside of our Platform Topper and Camper!

It’s all aluminum. The fasteners are aluminized zinc coated and interior mounting hardware is anodized as well, so galvanic corrosion is considered. Tl;dr it’s gonna hold up.
So you can’t put it on top of the Rocky Mountains for a year or attached to a submarine? XD

Ok, so the one fender badge says F250, but the 5 lug axles say F150. Never seen and F250 with half ton axles.
That snugtop wouldn’t die the way you expected it to lmao. Had to tinker with it off camera to get it to buckle 😂
It failed immediately. Took just over ten minutes for the final buckle
How is it sealed against rain, dust, snow?
It has a gasket seal around all of the panels along with a mechanical corner on each panel that limits all water, dirt and dust that even gets to the gasket in the first place.

That's cool and all but when in the fuck are you gonna park a truck on your topper. The fiberglass topper is what really impressed me! Don't get me wrong I'd love to have one of your GFC for my S10 ZR2. But this video wouldn't get me to buy it. Me having enough money would.
The price difference (or lackthereof) of the fiberglass topper and the GFC might surprise you.
I have been checking out aluminum vs fiberglass toppers for a while.
The comparisons and demonstration was good for helping me make a decision.
After seeing this, I’m more than impressed with the fiberglass topper function and its form is less like a work truck. This more than meets my needs.
It’s good you know what you need! If you only drive your truck on pavement and want the body lines to match the fiberglass is a good match!

I liked that because, if I was camping in the woods, and if a tree branch fell over on it; I would feel like my family would be safer in the back sleeping. Lol...your comparing apples to oranges. 3k cap vs 8k cap? Completely different uses and customer demographic.
Actually both the fiberglass topper and the gfc topper are around 4k. Our camper is 8k and has a built in sleeping area, and is a completely different product.
considering the centralized load points of the 2 bars on the fiberglass vs the spread of 3 bars on the GFC, the fiberglass surprised me.
The fiberglass failed immediately but it was surprising how long it took to collapse.
