    I have been working on my spiritual journey for a long long time - but Michael Singer, more than ANYONE else, has made the most impact on that journey. It's like a light bulb has gone off in my brain listening to his teaching. I am so grateful I have discovered him. I feel like I can finally have a peaceful happy life. ❤

    Oh Wow, watching this video answered the questions I have about myself and life. I knew I was doing this in the background of my mind, but hearing Michael break it down like that really helped me. I am the common denominator. Like if I am upset and drive to work everyone else looks pissed, but if I am all content and happy, it looks like everyone else is in a good mood. I know I created that. Awesome video and thank you for posting it.

    I Love this message. I know he is right. I am addicted to spiritual messages. But I still feel lonely. Does this just take time? I want to be able to let go of the garbage I stored inside. I see how I am creating this but it’s hard. And even that is just a thought 🤷‍♀️ anyone else here feel like that?

    • @annettenoga6182
      @annettenoga6182 Рік тому +7

      Yes, it takes a lot of time and its very hard...the garbage keeps coming up because you have not fully released it.
      Try not to suppress the thought allow it to come and drift along....like a cloud, as Michael states.

      I guess it is about the practice, repetition and step by step process that is key to transformation. The epiphany is the start of a process, the wish to change for the better.

      well i used to think that i could find the answer all at once but one of the things i like about michael singer is he talks about you cant play beethoven or something super hard the first day you learn piano- you have to start basic- and my life is hard and i am unhappy every day but doing the things he says everyday as often as i can remember to does seem to be leading toward greater peace - so i think its about baby steps everyday- i want to add that i think that tao te ching, stoicism, anthony de mello, eckhart tolle, rupert spira, sam harris, naval ravikant, katie byron, pema chodron, rational buddhism and others are also great help

    Overall a great message about how your perspective is what creates your suffering or joy. But...BUT....the part where he is telling everyone you can live every minute of every day in complete blissful love, it sets people.up for an unreal expectation and constant dissatifaction with life AS IT IS! Have any of us EVER know anyone intimately that had continual love and no suffering? Ive never met one. Ive heard many CLAIM they are, but when I get to know them, they have the same struggles that many of us do. Great basic message, as long as it doesnt claim the fantastical

    I love Singer's zen (or Yoga as he would say) but personally find him much clearer and more palatable in writing. If I came across this without reading his books, I think I would just be confused and likely dismiss it as being silly and possibly very annoying...and bothersome..lol.. It's a clear pointing directly to the crux of the issue but it's very difficult to make such a quantum leap when confronted with our own bullshit...especially if you have a love affair with yoiur own thoughts like me.. 😃It takes an extreme degree of self honesty which few possess. But for anyone remotely moved by his message, I would suggest his books. Really compelling stuff and he has practiced all of it and used it to great success in his own life, not only spiritually but materially.

    • @jcm5171
      @jcm5171 Рік тому +1

      Thanks for your inspiring note. Same love affair here, with my brain, my thoughts and reasoning !
      I am beginning to realize that it is like an addiction. An extraordinarily tantalizing addiction, seemingly born spontaneously and shared collectively.
      One cannot just will one's way out of it, one has to decide, bam !!! Extremely powerful activity, to "think". You "think" it helps because it seems to make sense with everything around you but everything around you is an illusion created by you !
      The loop goes on and we don't see it.
      Until we do.
      I used to believe that everyone could see how it works immediately, once someone had pointed to it. But no, many cannot fathom any of this process or be conscious that they are conscious : I am grateful to be at that stage where I know that I am. The journey is on.
      The fact is, thinking maniacally makes things worse ( relief is short lived since another and another thing comes...) because there is no end to it -- you cannot get anywhere except to that place where you know that the more you know, the more you know that you know nothing.
      I am going to get his books, good idea, thank you !

    This stuff works if your committed and practice. You can start to see improvements fairly quickly if you work on being focused and stay consistent. If you give up what then? When you know giving up is not an option you are on your way
    to a peaceful place between your ears and a new outlook on life. ❤

It’s especially helping me cope with a very stressful job and well, also some personal stuff I’m going through. Does anyone know what he says at the beginning and end of every talk?

    I think this is great for external stimuli. Other people, chaotic events in the world, etc - but what about serious illness and chronic pain in the body? What about severe physical and emotional abuse? How is it possible to not be bothered by strong pain in the body? Or someone punching you in the face? How do you choose not to be bothered by those things? Thank you.

      The war will still be around , They can't control that. The only thing that they can control is their view and reactions to it.

    Please clarify....😮

    • @iloveFreedom.
      @iloveFreedom. Рік тому +4

      I don't know if this helps .... I m just getting better at taking deeper breaths...and finding my inner joker...coz it appears people just do step over boundaries, yet if I'm feeling freee and happy, in that moment , ( being in that peace, more often,) I dont care,
      Sometimes we end up laughing
      Sometimes I walk away
      Sometimes music happens
      ...I can behave the way I want.... come what may...
      Not there all the time, personally, yet, 😂 but am more freq than I was, so it feels like progress 😅
      Like Gabor Matte says, its not what happens to you, its what happens inside you
      Your feelings are All Valid ofcourse. And we create our reality, I'm just convinced of it.

    • @robcormier210
      @robcormier210 Рік тому +4

      The way I personally see it is if someone is blatantly crossing a boundary, yes be firm in your love of yourself. The after effect is the catch.Your feelings about that encounter are yours to own. View them for what they are and release.There are more moments to come on this journey of life.

    This is very simplistic, black and white thinking. He even says he is not talking about the physical, just the psychological. How silly!! You can not separate your mind, spirit and body and just ignore truly painful things.
    To tell a victim of child abuse, rape, domestic violence, war, torture, or any evil that they are just “bothering themselves” while they are being abused or assaulted is really stupid.
    The moment ahead of you should and will bother you if the moment ahead of you is rape or abuse or a violent death.
    His theory only works on people with first world problems on a petty scale.

    Michael, if someone was torturing you, like say poking out your eyeballs with a sharp instrument, or cutting out your tongue with a sharp knife etc. etc. etc. Would that moment be bothering you? If someone was just about to murder you, would that moment be bothering you? I would think so. True, or not? Come on.....get a grip on yourself. Grow up.
