The parry in this game is a joke. DSP could parry in this game, parries are supposed to be high risk high reward, not no risk free win. They really thought it would have pvp with a free win button? You just can't attack anyone. This game also has NOTHING to do with the original Lords of the fallen, not the mechanics, the story, the characters, the combat is entirely different, it is literally just a souls-like that they slapped their old IP's name on. Genuinely not an original thought from the entire dev team, so sad to see. They also forgot souls-likes are supposed to be challenging, because a souls-like that isn't challenging, is just B O R I N G.
It's literally a different game set a millennia later. It doesn't have to have anything to do with the old one honestly. It's a breath of fresh air in the souls genre. I don't understand why your so angry at a new game.
I'm not sure if I watched the same video as you but it looked like Aggy was constantly challenged more than any souls game on a constant basis throughout the vod.
@graxo3752 That's because he's basically been going through with the equivalent of an unupgraded short sword. He hasn't been challenged because it is challenging, more so because his power level has been low. It's artificial difficulty. The moment I abandoned dual daggers for a long sword, I went from dreading every encounter. To walking through them all.
This game is Dark Souls 2 but more clunkier and an even more incoherent level design and map. Seriously these devs took inspiration from the most tedious Souls game of the trilogy and made it much worse. Game is just tiring and exhausting...not challenging.
To be honest Lords of the fallen is like darksouls but more modern and not same lore. To shit on the game is to shit on souls games has hole. The only thing that ruind it at start wha the fps and bad multiplayer conect. But patches are now fixing these problems.

DS1 came out in 2011 and for the time absolutely kicked ass dog don’t lump it in with this and ds2 that’s heretical
@@legalizetren Mmm doesn’t matter how old it was the mechanics were flawed that was the point. Even if I played it back then the game is always gonna be a good time but the mechanics suck and theres no denying that.
@@dysf_liquid1307 You're comparing DS1 and DS2 by modern standards, of course the cheap PS3 level animations of basic attacks can't compare with modern animations with much more inspiring movesets. It's physically impossible to make a souls game that fulfills modern standards with old hardware.
If you compare DS1-2 or DeS with any other game released at that time, they were way ahead of the curve. Skyrim was DS1s actual "competitor" and it's not even in the same league as DS1 when it comes to mechanics. I bet if you mentioned any game, I'd laugh at your suggestion, but I doubt you can even bring yourself to honestly find a game from 2011 that played more fun and fluid than DS...I mean, I'll be waiting, but I doubt you'll find any single example. If a game has the best mechanics of its era, it's very sound.
Tl;dr: You're chronologically wrong. If you played any of these games the time they released, you'd love the combat. Playing old games without nostalgia glasses always makes them seem shitty because of technological reasons. Hitman:Blood Money is revered as one of the best stealth games of all times, but because it's from 2007, it sucks balls compared to modern Hitman games.
@@gameurai5701 ??? What I’m not understanding is where are you getting the idea that I hate DS1-2 or anything it had to offer? I mean I dont like the dark zones like blightown and the mechanics can be bad at times but I am simply stating just like in DS1 the jump mechanic was flawed and its the same here.
@@gameurai5701 TLDR: What I am saying is that you are objectively wrong because the mechanics in DS1 and LOTF are both flawed.
Spoiler alert: No.
Bad reviews are just console and people with bad PC players
@@Chaos_Senpai It's only part performance though, the rest is mid gameplay. Hard to come to the arena with this after Lies of P hit a level of polish and design unseen in soulslikes since maybe Nioh 2.
@@verpastfacts, so many decisions made with this game to feel “different” actually just ruin the experience for me. Parry not negating damage, absurd number of enemies in high up areas where any roll could mean falling to your death, co-op not feeling like truly seamless co-op. I can make the game run but there are a o many disappointments outside of performance that will impede my enjoyment drastically. I hope I fight a boss soon that makes me want to immediately run back and fight again once I beat them, Lies of P NAILED that feeling for me

Hell NO
Is Aggys chat always like this when He plays new games? I usually don't watch videos like this from him and the chat looks rather unfair when it comes to the game.
Sure, not everyone needs to like everything, but it looked more like the chat was hating often for no reason. (graphics ps2, long tutorial etc)
Considering how hard the game was shilled as a "visual masterpiece," the graphics are fair to shit on. This game looks like Dark Souls 3 and runs a fifth as good.
Honestly the biggest issue I have with this game is level design. I get lost in pretty much every area.
This is true for every single souls game though, I felt it way less in this game than the others, but also I played those first so that’s probably why.
@@shadypieloverI think you're on that rock. No other souls game I've played (DS123, Elden ring, lies of P, Thymesia, Mortal Shell) has so many aimless loops in the map, somehow including the open world ones.
@@shadypielover Its fine to get lost in levels, but LOTF its getting lost + levels not feeling coherent at all. The amount of enemies also doesnt make it easier in grasping a good idea of the level layouts.
Aaa shit here we go again
8 hours crazy
This game looks like it's speed up...
Lies of p is so much better. And it doesn't run like blurry trash
and isn't boring catholic bad art style
@@sagacity1071 You mean boring catholic medieval bad art style like the Dark Souls trilogy? Get real, you can criticize many things about Lords of the Fallen but the art direction is not one of them unless you have really shitty taste.
@@bryanclarke8107I believe LOTF artstyle is really gorgeous, but the actual visual fidelity is a bit TOO detailed imo, I’m colorblind and it’s really hard for me to differentiate b/w various shades and palates, and that causes the game to appear blurry for me and I miss out on all the very fine minute details unless I zoom ALL the way in w my camera
@@TJones4Li keep getting lost, so i feel you
I don't understand why you like Lies of P. Lies is very bad and clunky.
lol i JUST refunded the game. and then i see Aggy upload this
AyoooOOOO
The amount of people that are absolutely garbage at the game and blame it on "bad mechanics" and "jankyness" is right on par with what I'd expect 😂. Exact same way comment sections looked when the Lies of P demo came out and now everyone loves that game.
its just real clunky and bad to play. it is just jank incarnate
I've seen a crazy amount of people complain about being lost.
Lop is superior to most from games chief sorry to tell you
I think i do not like that game!
I beat the 2014 version. It was also pretty bad
My friend says its a top 5 souls game
Yeah no lol
Such a bad game. Lies of P and remnant II are both a way better use of your time.
Lies of P alone ruined any chance this game had at being remembered fondly. Proof positive that off-brand Soulslikes can be original, amazing games in their own right.
Game is good but very unfair. U deal like no damage to normal trash mobs but they always one or two shot u.... u find barely any runes to lvl up.... I rlly don`t know what they were thinking.... hard is good but unfair isn`t
I regret buying this game. It’s so boring :(
I’m mad your parents conceived you
Ds2 but bad er
I genuinely do not understand the collective meat riding for Lies of P everywhere on UA-cam. The game was just OK. Same with this game. It’s OK. Everyone is acting like Lies of P is some 10/10 GOTY contender while this game is worthless trash. They’re both mid.
Ong lmao, Lies of P was so mid it’s insane, this game is pretty amazing though, nobody got far enough in this game though, I’m almost done with my first playthrough and will absolutely be running it again, when I finished Lies of P I was so glad that trash was over.
Lies of p is way more polished than this game
They really crammed some of the lowest points of this game into the first 3 hours.
Back-to-back terrible bosses.
Not fun poison swamp
"We got BlightTown at home" that is a nightmare to navigate.
Enough to make you wanna not play it.
I'm not sure if I watched the same video as you but it looked like Aggy was constantly challenged more than any souls game on a constant basis throughout the vod.
ahahahahhahaha 5 seconds into the video aggy explains its a reboot, my god how to tell someone is a hater with zero brain cells XDDD
@@DCDragoCraft Reboot does not mean 100% entirely different with no connections, you idiot.
The games good if your not poor, bought a new xbox for it series x its fing amazing
i have a pc that runs tarkov at 120 frames and i get anywhere between 30 and 100 with lords of the fallen

@@yurilopes420 ye there is some I like bout it tho idk
This game is Dark Souls 2 but more clunkier and an even more incoherent level design and map. Seriously these devs took inspiration from the most tedious Souls game of the trilogy and made it much worse. Game is just tiring and exhausting...not challenging.
I can tell you didn't play it.
Most of the issues are fixable with patches
Most of the problems with this game are design choices. Patches will only help so much.
@@SleeplessSpecterwhoever designed you has issues
@@shadypielover Liking your own comment huh?
To be honest Lords of the fallen is like darksouls but more modern and not same lore. To shit on the game is to shit on souls games has hole.
The only thing that ruind it at start wha the fps and bad multiplayer conect. But patches are now fixing these problems.
All people who talk bad about this game reminded me of demon souls when first released people shit it on fromsoftware and looks now wherer we are
Demon's Souls was much better received than this piece of shit. Lots of good streams on JTV of Demon's back in 2009. This game is incredibly bad.
its hard to watch you sometimes lol you just keep exploring and losing your vigor lol
This game has so many spammed enemy’s. If lies of p is bloodborne/ sekiro then this is ds2
Hot Take: Dark Souls 2 was good.
This game is nothing like ds2, for one it's actually good, healing makes sense, dodging actually works, movement as a whole is closer to DS3, enemy placement and design is pretty tame, the runback to boss gates is seldom particularly long and enemies can be easily evaded, plus you can interact with stuff and get Iframes during the animations so you can go through a boss gate without being slapped around by some random enemy.
No, this game is bootleg dark souls 3
Lies of P is an offbrand mix of Bloodborne and Elden ring
No. Real art pushes envelopes, lame art paddles to whatevers popular, this is lame.
Oh good. Another bad game that gets remade and is still bad.
