Literally just finished the first VOD this is a sign to avoid my work and watch all 5.5 hrs of this
my mans doing so little damage and taking so long that even progeny was like "better if i just sit here and let him hit me"
Bro his damage is so damn ass!! I was tearing through these bosses with a plus 3 basic long sword i started the game with haha. By Progeny i think i had a plus 4 or 5
Speedrunner brainrot sadly.
@@fishnutz5196I feel like enemy scaling is wack tho, I'll go from one shitting trash mobs, to taking 4 hits, all from going past a ladder.
@@TimothyGod what part of the game are we talking about? Because thats not the case. If you do the path the game tells you, Pilgrems Perch - Forsaken Fen - Fitzroys Gorge - Lower Calrath - Mines - Upper Calrath - Fief - Upper Pilgrems Perch - Manse - Abbey - Bramis there is no spike. If you were to skip an area or 2 then yes there will be a spike. NOTHING in this game has a spike like Altus to Mountaintops like in Elden Ring
This was really hard to watch with how underlevelled and undergeared he was. Most of his complaints are remedied by doing damage relative to the area you're in. The parries on the crimson rector were great, but doing 2 digit damage was just, so painful.
No, most of his complaints would not be remedied by "just do more damage lol." This game has a ton of fundamental flaws.
that area you "avoided" you passed on the way to the ruiner, it's just a side path that drops to the main. Also that item you left on the ledge allows you to add runes onto your weapons when you unlock the blacksmith
I am loving this game so much. I hope they keep fixing it to get it to the best state possible.
The mimics do come back, I just don't remember what prompts them to return.
This game satisfies so many kinks for me
elaborate 🤔
Damnit Aggy! Play a real man's game like Kong: Skull Island
That aged well
Progeny and the butterfly from ds1 have a similar feel, at least second phase progeny does.
only progeny is infinitely worse
@@flabbajabba9527 I’d agree, I do really enjoy lords of the fallen, but ds1 is just so damn good, it’s not comparable.
omg i wish i was watching this live seeing him fight the crimson rectival that kept healing and he didnt know what to do:/ always soul flay to stun
love this game exept for the fact that umbral quest for armor now has fucked up 7 times for me
Just me or do all of the areas look real similar. Mostly just dark grey, brown and green run down places. Biggest difference between areas is the hue of the lighting. The game has a "We swapped the skybox to a different colour so it's a new area." feel.
It’s just you. After playing the game twice every level plays very differently and feels differently, and the world is a 10/10
You watched one video
This comment is literally so annoying and so cringe. Do you feel good about yourself trying to be edgy?
You've not played it. You literally don't get a say. You get a perspective but don't go 'is it just me blah blah blah'. Yes, it's just you. Now go away.
Sorry no, you're outright wrong here. The level design is one of this games real strengths, especially with the umbral.
@@Regianldo56i agree with him to an extent, so you're wrong
It takes place a thousand years after the first one and the god they are trying to resurrect in this game is the demon god you defeat at the end of the first one.
seems like a lot of people arent liking it so far, which does kinda suck. personally im enjoying it a lot so far. it definitely has its problems (combat has a good bit of jank, enemy variety is lacking, way too many ambushes, etc) but i rlly dig the level and world design so far. the exploration feels just as good as a from software game and the interconnectivity is really well-done.
"the exploration feels just as good as a from software game and the interconnectivity is really well-done."
I guess you've never played a fromsoft game. The exploration isn't nearly as good. Areas are packed with tons of enemies and many annoying encounters, level design is often confusing and convoluted, and the checkpoint system is awful. Inter-connectivity is not great either, because it's rare that you would even need to use the interconnected areas for anything. The world is also so big (not in a good way) that it just feels pointless.
@@flabbajabba9527people are allowed to have different opinions, i also found the exploration to be good and the interconnectivity to be decent but that’s just me
5:22:44 My man what? Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 all have bosses that function like this.
Except in those games they're not nearly as bad
Have you tried two handing aggy? I.e power stance
you can quit and reload and it will come back or resting at a vestige. do keep in mind they can have somewhat random locations of where they spawn so might not be exactly where it was before but should still be near enough of the same location.
3:12:09 for Leminnz in chat, just because you never saw something doesn't make it 100% fact 🤦. If you haven't seen people dodge in lies of p, then there's someone who has somewhere. Basing your experience on what you alone have seen is wack
3:14:28 wdym "you find it unlikely"? Are people telling you what they did and saw notngood enough for you?? But you saw "everyone" parrying, so your word is fine, but others needs proof? Wack ahh
Yeah, it's crazy how he doesn't know you can dodge in lies of P. He's legit a moron.
Damn level 39 at Spurned Progeny??? Bruh underleveled as hell. Level up your weapon too your damage is horrible my guy
He can't get out of the speedrunning/competitive mindset. He's missed half the game already.
@@sujimayne i skipped through alot of the vod cause he was under leveled and under geared and constantly complaining
Aggy just ain't that bright, sadly. He's misses alot and just "um ok"s everything. Its so annoying sometimes.
@@satyasyasatyasya5746 1:59:30 This part hurt me physically given what that item is...
I was lv 77 i think when i beated that boss .
5:22:47 - Not a Souls like boss? Ummm Dragon God - DeS, Moonlight Butterfly and Ceaseless Discharge - DS1, Giant Lord and Old Iron King - DS2, Wolnir - DS3. Has Elden Ring completely rotted this guy's brain?
Worst part of the game, bullshit amount of enemies, the gotcha shit nonstop, and snipers. That and they made the coolest thing in the game, a second world, a tedious slog no one wants to deal with. Im half way through, doing an area you dont have to, and its even worse. Most just run through areas.
No chat pls
Combat speed looks like halfway between Souls II and Souls III but the systems seem rather complex. This games still on my 'did they do a better job this time' radar but I'm not decided yet.
System isnt complex. Just think the umbra is like the base game but with respawning enemies and a monster that chases you if you stay too long
The game is awesome. A very competent team made the game and that is very clear.
I tried it but it just felt poorly optimized on PC. I’m hearing good things about it but I didn’t enjoy it much for the few hours I did play.
@sujimayne shit crashed in the first 20 minutes and I've experienced multiple bugs in that same 20 minutes, and the game feels extremely heavy
@@sujimayneA very competent team made 4 or 5 enemies, reskinned them 3-4 times and ctrl+c/ctrl+v'ed them throughout the entire game.
A very competent team made 300 weapons... but none are different/unique. No unique movesets, no cool abilities. Oh, right, there are 2 weapon combos that have a unique attack.
A very competent team made a whole ass 2nd world that exists there just to pull fucking bridges and fend off neverending enemies.
A very competent team made a cool setting where you have:
A generic evil demon god
A generic good but actually evil god
A generic weird horror evil god.
How cool.
A very competent team made 3 endings that are JUST A BUNCH OF FUCKING TEXT ON A BLACK SCREEN.
A very competent team made the LAST FUCKING BOSS OF THE GAME deacons of the deep from ds3. Very cool. Oh there is also a secret ending boss that is basically the first boss of the game but WITH PURPLE WINGS OMG IT'S SO COOL.
A VERY COMPETENT TEAM made the worst boss equipment system in souls-like genre. Why tf do i need to beat the game like 5-6 times THOROUGHLY, watching every single stigma to get it all?
A very competent team has made the BEST running animation (character shat his pants and now sprints in search of the bathroom)
A very competent team has made an actually decent and cool magic mechanic where you don't have to scroll through spells. Not a joke, it's better than any fromsoftware magic by far.
A very competent team didn't even make a unique enemy to chase you when you stay in umbral for too long. It's JUST A FUCKING RESKIN.
Oh man, a very competent team indeed.
A very competent team had heard that their first game is slow and clunky in terms of movement... And made their next game too fast and a little less, though still pretty clunky in terms of movement.
A very competent team made the worst ng+ mechanic ever. Thanks, no.
A very competent team made the worst online connection I've seen in my life. No joke. HOW?
A VERY COMPETENT TEAM released the game in such a bad performance state, it was almost unplayable.
Do i need to continue?
I have platinumed this shit, only because I'm platinuming every souls game i own. And also because i cannot get a refund on ps store.
Dude it’s so ridiculous in later levels it’s like 10-15 every fucking step you take and all the enemies follow you so that turns into 20-25 you have to fight and it’s just a joke
I am already giving up because of the ridiculous enemy numbers
1. Don't stay in Umbral. Axiom is your friend.
2. Don't try to sprint through everything, take your time. Pick off enemies. Use your spells, throwables, bow, etc.
This game is not difficult if you use the tools it gives you, but it will punish you hard for not utilizing them.
@@sujimayne best part about this silly complaint is that this game doesn't even have significantly more enemies than the OG souls games, all of them had areas that had similar numbers if not more. crab swamp before sage? new londo ruins? hello? lets not even talk about elden ring. same thing with the "omg so many ambushes" statements. my brother in christ have you been to sens fortress? anor londo? this is nothing. such double standards
@@Flawithe difference is the frequency, even sens can be dealt with easily, enemies fall in a few hits, and don't respawn. Same with new Londo, they are spread far more. And you don't have a stupid animation to pick up your souls. I also don't wanna beat every enemy going to a boss every time, sometimes i wanna just fight the boss, but enemies will follow you forever, they never leash
@@sujimayneI don't wanna run through each enemy every time just because i couldn't make progress, especially with how often things spawn in umbral
@@Flawi my favorite defense LOL, what you don't like this game mechanic? well this other game also had a bad game mechanic BOOM,,, like what?? XDD
Crazy how many people love and defend this mediocre game. To each their own, I guess. I give it a solid 6/10.
Also, @ 3:10:52 lol the blockhead "Leminnz" in chat: "lies (of P) being only block/parry is lame".
Huh? Has he played the game? You can DODGE in lies of P as well. Even if it was just block/parry it wouldn't be a bad thing if it's done well and is satisfying (which it is).
@ 3:12:52 It's not that LOTF telegraphs the attacks better necessarily, the attacks are usually just slower and more sluggish. Enemy movement feels a bit more robotic. That's all that is. Also the fact that LOP is a faster paced game would play into that, too. Enemy telegraphs in LOTF are just easier, whereas in LOP they're tougher.
blood came in yapping replying to all these old ass comments lmao
Every animation in this game feels way off.
honestly im shocked the man went back and played it again. this game looks like shit
It's not shit... but definitely not top tier. It's....... bearable. probbaly. I'm enjoying it, when I get pass some of the horrendous frustrations. But if you can't get pass that, which is understandable, it can just feel like a chore.
