Caught 9 bass in 2 hours yesterday with the wacky. Spent a whole hour before that with crank bait and spinners. Nothing. Switched to wacky and it was every couple of casts. Caught a nice 5lb too. My best out of that pond yet
In 1991 a friend and l switched "secret" baits. He said hook the worm about in the middle. I said what? I'm not doing that.He said just try it ! Been using it for over 30years. 1st Fl. Bass on that rig.....7lbs +
@jessevowell2554 no it doesn't. I use it with fluro and I've used a uni knot with fluro, the uni will break way easier than the Palomar. Most times a Palomar knot don't even break in the knot, but the uni does
@jessevowell2554 I'm sure anyone that actually fishes has better luck. Everyone knows that a Palomar and trilene knot are two of the strongest knots. I used to use a uni knot all the time because it's quick to tie, but got broke off a lot, especially with light flurocarbon line. But, use what you like, we're all have our opinions, and i wasn't trying to sound like an ass hole. Good luck
Simple and to the point prob the best wacky rig videos I’ve seen
A fish catching machine !!! I’ve been crushing it on a Wacky Rigged Dinger!
One of my favorite rigs👍

I love everything about the rig besides the knot. I love the uni knot for flouro
Palomar knot is alot stronger
@@dereksteele2284 yeah but it cuts into itself. With braid it’s perfect but with flouro you can’t trust it.

@@dereksteele2284 alrighty buddy. Glad you have had better luck than me with it. Have a good day

Great information ❤❤🐠
I tried the wacky rig today fir the first time caught a huge turtle 😂. Thankfully it’s free with no hook in its mouth
Thanks SO MUCH
Catch all day with it
I remember you telling the story about how the wacky rig 1st got started. Just put the worm on the hook they said, well that's wacky lol.
Is this why Wendell likes you?
probably more for my charm
What o ring do you use to get the hook to sit right
You can use the Vmc crossover rings or Mustad Offset
Are those 6 sense wacky hooks?
Could be, I have so many different types
Crush your barbs
Is there a weedless set up for this?
I will switch to weightless Texas Rig for weedless
You can actually do this without a spinning rod too. Just cuz ur too scared of the baitcasters 😂
I use a baitcaster for finesse, but since I teach beginners how to fish I recommend spinning gear to start with, as I've stated in SEVERAL videos.
I got no bites at all.
Happens to all of us
