Lock and Lube tip seems to allow me less trouble get released from points. I really like the electric gun as my hands are strong enough for manual. I do love the red grease it reminds me of lip gloss
@6:05 I thought I was the only one that ever had problems getting the grease gun off of the grease zerk sometimes lol. Nice video as always, love seeing the tractor work
No, you are not the only one lol. Damn, two bloody fingers after all that. Hope next time works out better lol. Brand new grease nipples and brand new grease gun ='s a bitch to release lol. Thanks for watching Jon!
Picked up a JD 26g a week ago, and the dewalt grease gun this evening. Had the same problem getting the hose off the grease fitting. I missed 1 grease point that you showed. Thanks for the video!
That is a great tip. Since this video I got a LockNLube Grease Coupler and it works great. Easy on and off. I learned something new too, had no idea the nipple was called a Zerk. Had to look that up. Thanks for watching!
Hey Mark, thanks for watching. 17G is a great machine but like anything, you but and then wish you got bigger lol. I have sold it since, went to a tractor, then a skid steer than other skid steer which I haven't posted a video about yet. When I get another excavator in the future, I would like at least a 3 ton then.
I actually sold this machine since this video. I didn't get around to towing it as I stayed on my property. You would be good with a 16 foot or longer flat bed. Hope that helps.
Mike,I am in the process of making a purchase on a small mini excavator.I have visited John Deere, Kubota, and most recently Case. They all appear to have the same qualities. Question, does your machine have enough muscle to pull a toothed 18 inch bucket? Did you search other dealers prior to making your purchase? I will visit my local Yanmar dealer next friday.Anyway,I enjoyed the video.BTW,I suspect that the 17G will wind up in my yard. Thanks, Ken
Hi Ken, This 17G has been great so far. Did you see my video demoing a wood shed with it? It is in my shop series videos. Yes, this machine has lots of muscle to pull the tooth bucket. I am still learning with these mine Ex's. I learned that it's best to have the blade down behind the machine where you are digging for maximum power digging. The Deere 30 inch grading bucket with blade on it works like a champ too. The motor is a Yanmar. I stand behind John Deere as I have stand on mowers too. Let me know what you get. Thanks for watching!
If you watched the whole video you will see that I have another bucket with teeth on it :) This one on the machine is the 30 inch grading bucket and I have a 18 inch 4 tooth bucket. I will be getting a smaller trenching bucket too. Yeah, the deere controls are ok but feel awkward. Thanks Jim!
Very nice video Mike, just looked at a 17G today and thought I wondered where's the lever for the tracks was.

100% best invention ever. I have it now. Thanks for watching!

I would of loved to get a 26 or 35G but it was out of budget. Awesome that my video was able to help you. Thanks for watching!
I just picked up a 2017 JD 26G with cab. Love it. Only had 10 hours on it.
@@diggerupdude2484 That is awesome! Congratulations!
Unscrew the tip of your grease hose a little and it won't clamp down on the zerk so tight.

What's up Mike From BUSCH GREEN . Thanks for the share
Diego! Thanks for your support bro!
@@MBGAdventures Thank you too. This helps. Have a safe weekend.
I've been meaning to do a video on all the grease points on my 61" Ferris . It's got a bunch😎 Good video👍....that grease hose bites hard lol
Thanks for watching. Yes, it frickin' bites really hard lol. It's new and needs to be worked in. Same with the grease nipples on the machine.
Morning, I'm looking at buying one of these. Any regrets or things that you need to watch for? Thanks Mark @ Mannisto Cay. 👍😊🌴

Really nice machine man ! Your getting the hang of it well to bud 👍
Playing with toy excavators and tractors when I was little is all coming back to me :)
Great job Mike is there a grease zerk in the middle under the cab ? Track tensioners
Thanks Donald. There probably is but I think that is only for if you are taking off or putting the track back on. Hmm
What I have been told about the tensioner is to not grease them. They are for tensioning only during install or a reinstall after having a track off.
what do you use as a transport how long of trailer ?
I actually sold this machine since this video. I didn't get around to towing it as I stayed on my property. You would be good with a 16 foot or longer flat bed. Hope that helps.
Is there a certain grease these machines require?
I would say a heavy equipment one. If you are not sure, I would ask your dealer or look at your manual for verification for what grade. Thanks Chris.

Put teeth on that bucket! You can thank me later. I switch the controls also.
