Dannys Angling Blog I am from the Midlands pal and I really do feel it’s about time they opened the rivers all year . I know opinions are divided but most years come June 16th . We have extreme crap weather and flooding which makes most stretches dangerously inaccessible. Now I am not tight but we pay 30 quid for a licence and those of us who are not keen on commercials me included feel hard done by. With climate change etc our calendar year of the seasons in my opinion is not in sink with nature anymore . Over in Ireland all waters still and running remain open and it’s never done any harm . Tight lines pal 😎
Some of it is down to now reaping the rewards of hard blanks in the past and learning the rivers you now see in the vlogs, others is down to getting out before work at first light and looking for fish topping on venues where you have a hunch on somewhere most people drive past every day and then there are of course spots like this one where your mates have been before and suggest a trip there together. You get what you put in though in fishing i believe matey Danny
Dannys Angling Blog good call, I’ll have to try the topping fish and see how that works out I’ve been trying a few new venues recently but seem to blank more than not or don’t get any run of fish at the moment, I think I’ve been spoiled by the commercials, where it’s become a bit too easy!! Cheers

Dannys Angling Blog they just got in to it at a better time really and had a camera man no doubt. The commercial side of it ruined Matt Hayes and John Wilson was annoying lol. Plus you’re fishing is more realistic, it’s not hand picked venues anywhere in the world or the UK, it’s accessible and localish fishing. You know what you’re doing, but you have an understated modest style of presenting, there’s no ego about it. It’s just pure fishing passion plus some good modelling of how to fish and treat fish. I have some idea of how difficult it is to film stuff like that with my shooting videos plus all the editing. You’re doing an awesome job!
