- Fendt 1050 vario seen preparing seedbed for maize with a 7,5 meter wide Steketee front-cultivator and 8 meter wide Steketee Supersprint. When the seedbed is ready a John Deere 6125R with Monosem 8 row planter comes to drill the maize.

That front cultivator kicks up a lot of fine dust particles that get sucked into the air cleaner/scrubber system. I hope it's good quality and easy to maintain.
dav snow -few years ago,i also start using front implement for seedbed cultivation.one my tractor has no problem with dust in the air filter.the other one ,sucks huge amount of dust in it...
+Bare36 : Australian truck drivers who travel hundreds of kilometers on gravel roads (behind other large vehicles) also have a similar engine-destroying dust problem to deal with. It's a challenge that is still yet to be fully solved I think. This video demonstrated the problem very clearly.
The 1050 has a reverse air intake to clean its own filters. It's a new system called Cleanfix by Fendt.

Modern air cleaning systems are continuously being researched and developed. Dusty conditioned are not a new thing.

Nice video. Why do so many European and Australian farmers use front end implements? We don't see that in the USA. Thanks for your responses.
When I grew up on the farm there were no front mounted implements. I see that they would create more dust for the tractor to drive through and shorten the life of air filters.

This is probably a silly question, but why is the soil so heavily cultivated? Is see this in all videos on farming in the Netherlands. Here in South Africa the soil before this cultivation would be considered an exceptional seedbed for corn or any row crop. Does this "unnecessary" cultivation not only lead to more cost and moisture loss? Thank you

Why make those goofy turns in the ends? You have to make a swat across the end anyway just lift up and turn sooner and make two or three swats across end.

+Nobody Sam : How can a random viewer answer about the psychology of individual drivers? You must ask each driver, or do a properly designed survey and report your findings in a scientific journal. If the cab is comfortable, with well designed controls and comfortable seating, has good air quality control and the working hours are reasonable with fair pay, and the boss is nice to him, of course he'll be _satisfied_ with his lot in life. But to randomly guess if he's *_happy_* is impossible from one day to the next.
I've just spent 11 hours on my New Holland, mowing drains in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Love every minute, so in my case happy, happy, happy! ☺

is daar echt een trekkker voor nodig met zoveel pk's ?? Een 930 zal toch ook hetzelfde werk kunnen doen.
Ja, maar als deze gekocht hebt voor ander werk, waar de pk's nodig zijn, ga je niet nog een andere kopen. Het is best mogelijk dat ze een 930 hadden en ingeruild is voor deze. In andere woorden. Je koopt de trekker waarmee je alles doen kan. Deze kan het plus meer, een kleinere kan het meeste doen maar heeft problemen met het zware werk. Natuurlijk kan een kleinere trekker ook zwaar werk doen maar is het of langzaam of met minder breedte. Dan gaat het zware werk langer duren, wat nadelen heeft betreffend weer en/of tijd beperking.

“Air filter blocked”
The 1050 reverses the ventilator in front of the air intake a couple seconds every 2 minutes to suck out the dirt it pulls in on the job. It's multiplies the life of the filter system by factor 25.
