I only used brake cleaner on disks or rotors. If I had a car part that needed cleaning, it was Diesel. Mostly because it worked, and mostly because I drove a lot of things that used diesel.
if you use a wet erase marker on top of the dry erase marker's marks then clean it up it most of the time comes clean. Its what worked for us for awhile.
It's actually because the dry erase fibers bond much more strongly to each other than to the surface (ensures nice cohesive lines when writing with them). So when you draw with the fresh "ink", the fibers pull into the old "ink", so when you erase the new ink, the old ink gets pulled out too. Really old dry erase, though, does pretty much become permanent because time is a bonding factor too 😢
You could do a giveaway for those PHB's. They can be a bit pricey on a tight budget, and I'm sure a lot of us, myself included, would like to have a physical copy instead of relying on PDF files.
As an owner of both, I find pdfs much easier and faster to reference stuff with. The glossaries in most 5e books are atrociously bad, so a quick ctrl-f beats it by miles.
@@tahunuva4254 yes but it is easier to use the phb anywhere, without having to drag around a laptop with you. There are A LOT of easy ways to play. Theirs a Subreddit called r/lfg that you can use to find a group. It’s usually beginner friendly and I’ve used it and made some really good friends
I recommend finding a group with a good amount of freetime that also doesn't create like 5 different games at once, because all of them end up getting cancelled and then new ones pop up. (Had to play in like 7 different campaigns so far)
Sounds like a monthly give away of your “extra” dice/“extra” hand books/manuals could be a thing. (Maybe even get sponsored by a dice company for a future video since you are a dragon.)

So something I like to do instead of using minis is using Lego Minifigures. They're a lot cheaper, very customizable, and honestly they work very well on a gridboard as they don't take up a lot of space, grab a few trees, design a few enemies, and snag some of those snazzy treasure chests and you can run basically anything. Building dragons, Giants, and other big creatures works well with Bionicles. That's just my 2 cents

I actually just bought dice for the first time yesterday! By the end of the week I'm going to be playing my first game of D&D with some friends on discord.
Cool. Do you have your character made already? If not, and they're expecting you to show up with a character already rolled, there are plenty of good character sheet tools online. I like D&D Beyond's. The only drawback is you have to buy their digital copies of the books to use the content inside. But, the site is a good digital reference tool for the table as well. Just pull it up on a phone or tablet, and you're good to go when you need to quickly look up a spell or skill. Another tip if you have your own books, BOOKMARK THE RELEVANT PAGES FOR YOUR PLAY SESSION BEFORE YOU PLAY. If you're playing a Barbarian Tabaxi, bookmark the Barbarian in the PHB and the Tabaxi race in Volo's Guide. This way, you're not having to flip through pages to find information while playing. Also write book and page numbers next to spells to find them easier.
I hope u have fun quick warning discord games can get a little crazy but u can still have a awesome time if everyone puts in the effort and stays focused on the game.

In what way did the player sort them? By color? By shape? By roll type (d4, d8)? Grouping sets together?
Dragonman0007 definitely by sets if they were able to notice one dice was missing... I do this to my dice... sitting across from the dm... with like 12 sets of dice all neatly organized and all of them with maximum number face up... and then the person sitting next to me keeps turning one of them to a different number just to annoy me...
but anywho, any set with missing dice goes into my injured dice box... which is more like a mass grave unless I happen to come across the missing die and am able to resurrect the set.

The second you said dry erase on a Chessex grid/mat, I had flash backs and knew where this was going. Also, your dad gave you brake cleaner.
Break cleaner. The good shit! When this stuff or gasoline stops working you have a problem :D
Yeah, I made the same mistake (the marker, I mean)
what marker are you suppose to use? (asking so I DON'T make this mistake)
@@talonisthedragon same thought. He didn't tell us the proper one :(
I only used brake cleaner on disks or rotors.
Isn't that because wet erase has rubbing alcohol in it?
It's actually because the dry erase fibers bond much more strongly to each other than to the surface (ensures nice cohesive lines when writing with them). So when you draw with the fresh "ink", the fibers pull into the old "ink", so when you erase the new ink, the old ink gets pulled out too.
Really old dry erase, though, does pretty much become permanent because time is a bonding factor too 😢
You could do a giveaway for those PHB's. They can be a bit pricey on a tight budget, and I'm sure a lot of us, myself included, would like to have a physical copy instead of relying on PDF files.
Yeah, PDF kinda sucks for reference material, although and viewers worth using allow you to bookmark things.
As an owner of both, I find pdfs much easier and faster to reference stuff with. The glossaries in most 5e books are atrociously bad, so a quick ctrl-f beats it by miles.

Same. Wish I could find a group in my area
Sounds like a monthly give away of your “extra” dice/“extra” hand books/manuals could be a thing.
(Maybe even get sponsored by a dice company for a future video since you are a dragon.)

I’ve also seen gun solvent (Hoppes #9, the *solvent*, not the oil) work for taking off marker - a bottle got overturned by accident onto a stained map, and the resulting wipe-down left it looking much cleaner.

Dice are so hypnotically fascinating. I love combing through the internet for all the different ones available out there. I can spend hours just looking at the different kinds! I'd have never guessed I'd get so obsessed over them, but, here I am.
