Just found this in April 2020, and watched it about a dozen times. I wish this kind of "Here is a top-to-bottom run with me and friends. No lame intro-outro. No music. Just amazingly fun skiing" video had become the norm. I find myself far more engaged and entertained by this than by most of the other ski content out there.
I might have watched this video more than anyone else. Still my favorite ski video. For the last five years, each ski season brought me back to this. Now I'm trying some of these moves, just not nearly as graceful.
Working on turning this style of follow into a little series... may be a little while before I get em going but try9ng to shoot some this year, and then expand next year!
I live in Unikornia, went to school in the bay area where i met my friend Alan, who lived on Lake Whatcom with his folks. He invited me to go sailing and general mischief for the 4th of July. They owned a wooden 24'+ sloop, and it blows like stink at Whatcom. That night, BBQ steak, chicken and cut off ski poles. Then, we could drive to the rez across the border and buy pop-bottle rockets, etc..We could set-up rockets on the open-end of the ski pole, light'em up, and shoot each other. Keep in mind our protective gear was a garbage can lid of sorts. In the winter, i met his friend Chris Angel, who skied with the local ski team. Mt. Baker, ski team? i laughed till they taught me a lesson, blew me away. I watch this post atleast once a week, to remind me of the good ole days, chasing Alan. Thank you, always brings a smile to my face....(this was in the late 70's and 80's).

In all my years, holy cow! Hat's of to the shooter! Sans the 360 tailgrabs, hung in there all the way! Distractions, dustclouds and all. Bravo! ALTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really interesting to see how modern technique has changed so much with the changes in technology - rockers, huge sidecuts, fat skis etc. Almost a different sport to the extreme skiing of the 80s and 90s. I'd love to see today's pro skiers on a pair of old 2 meter race skis!
I've always liked watching a full ski run. Most videos are way too chopped up, you get maybe 2 seconds before it changes. Great stuff here! Well planned run and the stamina to keep up that pace... impressive.
The only thing my instructor said, to get me through trechious lines like this "Pre-down unweight, bend your knees" Now I can speef and smoke with the best of them.
It depends a little bit on skis and a little on style. Skis that are very springy make it super easy to get extra air off little jumps. Also, some people prefer controlled, disciplined lines, while some people like bouncing off of every little bump. I find people who grew up skiing slalom tend to be more into carving and people who ride park tend to find more jumps and such in natural terrain. Just because your style doesn't look like these guys doesn't mean you're doing it wrong!
well....i've got the same shreditors as you dude, just have to keep practicing to catch up with skills (long fuckin years :O ) greets from europe folks! :)
The amount of style in this video is just ridiculous. Two of the most fluid, stylish skiers out there.
👊👊

Thanks I love showing that kind of relatable skiing! thanks for watching!
here after 9 years, a damaged knee, never going to ski again....yep, true
This is the best, most unique ski channel on YT. The “Let’s take a lap” series is stoke in its PUREST form. Love this content. Never stop!

I choose to believe the name Pep is short for Pepperoni

2 of the worlds best, don't feel bad if you can't do this !
greattttt footage. good lord, just got in from a howler of a run in stowe VT.
Dope. Excellent shot.
How well did you know the route beforehand? Or were all the jumps improvised?
thats a classic line at alta but the hits are always changing, we had done 2 or 3 laps before this one..
Sage CattabrigaAlosa how did you stabilize the video. It looks amazing despite all the motion and shaking. What camera did you use?
Sony action cam steady shot

U n pep ripped it! Two thumbs up!
No introduction required…Alright…. Another zinger!
This is the one that spurred the idea
@@sagePerspective We owe Pep for the inspiration.

I've always liked watching a full ski run. Most videos are way too chopped up, you get maybe 2 seconds before it changes.
Great stuff here! Well planned run and the stamina to keep up that pace... impressive.
Would love to cruise the mountain with you guys!

Ah you got me Jonesing! Great run!
So RAW. Also, jumping all over the place and not even a hard landing - either you guys knew the mountain hump by hump, or you have atomic thighs
alta is the best
no, these guys are pro ... super light on their feet
The only thing my instructor said, to get me through trechious lines like this "Pre-down unweight, bend your knees" Now I can speef and smoke with the best of them.
I think my brain just spazzed and turned off after reading this.
Pep is a beast , goddamn
Looks like way more fun than rippin Bachelor =)

Bad ass!
ya I can hear all that wind
What trails/line is this?
They're cutting all over the place. It's hard to explain a line like this with just a name or two.
Its nice to see some actual skiing instead of all these helmet and pole cams that give the viewer no real perspective.
well that was a helmet cam
@@bigmems5630 he means its the viewed skier in frint of the camera
Marcellin Eberl oh gotcha
sick....
ihr seid sehr gute skifahrer
bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutaal!!
Are people always this springy when skiing?! I'm worse than I thought
not sure what you mean by springy, but of course these professional skiers are better than you lol
sjpro1
They're practically bouncing with springs for legs

tarmander13 indeed, I've worked hard to get loose since my slalom days. Easy to fall back into those ways 😣
Ski Ninja!

I like the part where he slowed down for a second. 0:45.
Yeah, thats a move I can actually do.
ski MRG
Snowboarders want to take those runs. Great stuff, but you are a traitor to fun snow sliding.
Gotta put tunes too it Brother :)
No please dont!!!!!
Eggz Ackley Matt, the sound of the wind and the sleet like snow hittin off, that's skiing.
Y'all are nuts LOL.
