Paid content or not, I have to admit that such wonderful places should be protected at all cost.

The paid content aspect does matter.
In the video itself they present a list of what caused the environmental issues in these countries and not once did they mention the environmentally destructive nature of De Beers mining business. Its very convenient for them to not accept any blame and instead present the issue as other people's fault. Incredibly shady and disrespectful.

the Okavanga River Basin is under siege by ReconAfrica, a Canadian oil and gas company that has been granted licenses(!) for exploratory drilling, which would pillage the ecosystem for a few greedy men's profit! The Archewell foundation hopes to protect this pristine area. My granddaughter was born here so I love this place.

They also help local communities with jobs. Fresh drinking water by making new water wells as well as providing covid vaccination. Not everything about fossil fuels is evil.. At least they develop this with care. I'd rather buy my oil from Namibia then from Russia you know... We are not yet able to make a full energy transition in the coming years we need the least harmful fossil fuels we can get for some more time. The real harm comes from dirty fuels like coal. Not from gas per se.

It is incredibly important to see and appreciate the values of other cultures as our environment declines overall.

Beautiful, uninhabited places. This gives us hope that the nature of these places will remain untouched by civilization for a long time.
