Doesn't the legato v2 have a pressure control on the right side so you can increase/ decrease pressure? I swear i saw somebody else do it

Just picked up a pristine brand new bambino in a damaged box for 130$ and ordered all of the upgraded parts. im so excited to try something other than my gourmia. it does fine for the $50 i paid for it on black friday but it uses a milk cartridge that is a pita and the basket is all pitted and corroded already. whats the biggest dif going from pressurized to single wall? i ordered a precision basket and a decent steel hand grinder since i only have a cuisinart electric

You’re going to need a new grinder if you’re using the non pressurized filter basket

I want to add a VST basket to my legato. .
I have a naked porta filter. Should I use ridged o ridgeless ?
    58mm or E61:?

Some portafilters have a spring which holds the basket in place and that’s what the ridge is for. It definitely has nothing to do with the taste or flavor of your espresso.

These are the two killer entry-level espresso makers. I’m disappointed that you didn’t really get into actually comparing how they work, like switching from brewing to steaming, steam pressure, etc. I bought a dual boiler so I can brew and steam seamlessly and you didn’t get into this.
Also, you have a gorgeous backyard, but it backlights you and you need to add lighting to your foreground.

The Bambino does have a built-in PID

@@ricric9521 yup 👍 I mention that in my full review it just doesn’t have the same level of adjustment as the legato

But wait, I thought the Legato was the "Gaggia Killer". So, why not compare it to that? This is the basic Breville and is an appliance, while the Legato (with some major issues) is made more like a machine. Thumb on the scale? Also, a 30 minute video? Have you heard of editing?

It was a live stream you can’t edit those? Also I do things like this all the time it’s fun for people to see machines from all manufacturers expensive to cheap next to each other to truly see what you’re getting. I would do the gaggia but I sold mine awhile back. I don’t have the space to keep 20 espresso machines in my house all the time

Would you elaborate on the major issues with the Legato?

I'm interested in knowing what those major issues with the legato are

@ Cheap made in China knock off, that has been rebranded for Espresso Outlet, a retailer with a dubious record of customer service. Water pressure issues, temperature stability problems especially because they use a thermoblock for steam. People have been calling it a Gaggia killer, but no one has done a direct comparison . With the EVO Pro now coming with a brass boiler, it’s even better.
