Absolutely beautiful collection. I was introduced to classical music at a very young age. My mom and sisters sang in our church choir. The first LP my parents bought for me was at the age of 4, "Sparky and his magic piano". Rachmaninov Prelude in C sharp minor (opus 3, no. 2) on this LP is what cemented my love for classical music. I have been besotted with this piece ever since. I became a choir conductor in our church myself. Today my son plays Racmaninov, Chopin, Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, you name it. I simply love listening to him practice. We attend the symphony together whenever possible, probably 20 times a year.
Adagio from Rachmaninoff’s concerto No.2 is what I call a complete Romantic Piece. The build up and the sadness while there is little light of hope to happiness even through the darkest times.
That's what I was thinking when I spliced it in as the score for "1 Night in Paris". Really adds depth which is so important in a classic like that. Music lets you connect with the actors and really feel what the actors are feeling during throughout the scenes.
... I haven't words...It' so DIVINE and SUBLIME...As told F. Chopin in due time: " Music has no Fatherland, its Fatherland is the WHOLE UNIVERSE"...and Beethoven said:"Music is MEDIATOR between the Life of the Mind and the Life of the Senses"... It's TRUE...Very Beautiful Interpretation...and Tracklist...Simplemente Maravillozo!...💗
As classical pianist... These jewel of melody, likened to voice of God and angels.. How grateful .. Speechless.. My heart and soul cries profusely with beauty and tenderness in life... May we all strive to be kind and humanity strong...
I love this kind of music. I feel like I’m in heaven. Sometimes, when I wake in the middle of the night, I take my earphones and listening this collection and I feel so relaxed. Then, I fall in a deep sleep.
Such magnificent beauty with classical music and our earth. May this bring out the best in human consciousness for those that listen. AFFECTIONATELY AND WITH MUCH RESPECT 🙏 ❤
Excellent!! I was exposed to classical music when I was very young and so glad because not only am I able to appreciate classical music like this now but it brings a special comfort having had it as an influence throughout my life. Thank you for putting together this wonderful collection of soothing and uplifting adagios!!!
The boundless beauty and purity of nature and many instead of protecting and paying homage to it are killing everything mercilessly. What future we will have... thank you earth for what you give us every day💚🌳🌍🌫️
The bulk of Russian sadness and suffering gathered and bundled into an irresistible bouquet of inexpressible pain and emotions. Unequaled in any music.
Pure consolation (e.g. 58:08). Thanks to the composers, the artists, you for providing it. And thanks to all humans who made it possible to listen to such treasures on the internet. Simply unbelievable, once you start thinking about it.
I , too, am a pianist - or, more accurately in my case, a piano-player - and I love the concertos of the great Masters, especially the Adagios. I once made a tape of all Mozart's PC Adagios. Sadly, tape-players are vanishing; I must digitise them all. :-)
I was falling asleep when I heard a heavenly melody. It was so beautiful that I had to wake up and find out what it is. Field PC #2, which I never heard before. Okay, I am now fully awaken and researching this Field guy. I am glad to find out he has more than some nice soothing nocturnes. I am downloading all of his piano concertos now. I wish he becomes one of my favorites.
Hoy 6 junio 2021 llevo 10 horas escuchandolos (chile). Final del mundo.
The slow movements of a concerto are usually my favorite. They seem to evoke the most different emotions, and I’m glad that this playlist is here for me to try listening to some different ones. One particular feeling that I like from some of these, like the Beethoven Emperor, is they evoke the feeling that the world is at peace in a calm happiness. It helps me forget about my worries for the time being and just enjoy my life a little bit more. Thank you for this playlist!
This tells me again that although so few in number, it’s often the woodwind section that makes or breaks the great orchestral pieces, especially concerti. During the Rachmaninov piano concerto, the very first piece, it’s the _incomparable, exquisite_ tone of the lone clarinet which IS the embodiment of poignant longing, it is the emotional center of the slow movement! When it sneaks in, and builds, it would melt the coldest heart! In other concerti, it could be the oboe or the flute or the clarinet….but when it’s voice is heard, my goodness!
Quite a nice compilation of beautiful Adagios from various Romantic piano concertos, all of which are dreamlike and almost heavenly. Thanks for the timely and solacing upload for these difficult days under the coronavirus pandemic!
Perhaps 'difficult days' under calculating and callous covidism, rather than under any pandemic. I wonder if they will ever have the slightest appreciation of what they have done.
Hi, it was a very difficult time. It is April 2024 luckily I came across this beautiful music and scenery thank goodness, unfortunately there are some very difficult times in the world. ❤
As I said a year ago, thank you for this beautiful music, but now I will add this: thank you also for the equally beautiful photography. A marvellous combination! - Oh, and thank you for introducing me to the "Rach 5 PC." I had not heard of that. This is one of my most favourite places in all of UA-cam. If I had my way, I would give it a Like every time I came here.
Thank you very much for the Adagios collection. I've been hearing a few adagios from my personal music library, and I'm happy to offer a collection like this. For a healthy life all the time...
Começando maravilhosamente meu domingo azul e quente do inverno do Rio de Janeiro... Obrigada, estejam a salvo e recebam as mais afetuosas saudações!
Dream dreams of love and peace. All Adagi just wonderful, lovely, tender, moving.... Gracias, thank you, Danke, merci, grazie!!!
It´s missing Rachmaninoff first piano Concerto, the Andante, it's spectacular. Full of delicacy and tenderness, somethin that really touches your heart, i simply love it.
The person who is reading this: You’re amazing stay blessed, stay safe and have a amazing rest of your day 🌟 My dream is to have 1k. I’m struggling to get there💜❤️
Once more an exceedingly attractive and most endearing compilation. Adagios never fail to do it for me. They have the power to allow the hurt to surface and then to heal. Balanced reflections of certain periods of one's life. Oh and I love the visuals you added to the clip. Schmaltzy and chocolate boxy in some cases - yet so right ! ! !
DO NOT agree about the visuals. Nor the need for them. Sit, listen, let your own mind bring forth images and memories, emotions, inspirations. Isn't that WHY you listen to music????
Gracias
