In today’s hectic world, it is increasingly important to relax and take time out for yourself. This special collection of beautiful and serene adagios will help you do just that. The set features over two hours of soothing music, including many slow movements that are at the emotional core of timeless and best‐loved masterpieces. You’ll be captivated by the variety of wonderful and instantly recognizable melodies heard here: the wistful spiritual from Dvořák’s ‘New World’ Symphony, the exquisite interweaving lines of Bach’s ‘Air on a G String’, and some of Mozart’s most impressive showcases for how to really make an instrument sing in the Clarinet Concerto and ‘Elvira Madigan’ Piano Concerto. And evocative and atmospheric adagios - such as Grieg’s ‘Morning’ and the slow movement from Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ Symphony with its distinctive birdsong calls in the flute, oboe and clarinet - will transport you to another world, far away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Other highlights include some of the most enchanting slow movements in the piano repertoire - such as the poignant Adagio cantabile from Beethoven’s ‘Pathétique’ Sonata and stunning concerto movements by Chopin, Ravel and Rachmaninoff - Fauré’s intense Élégie for cello, and Mahler’s tender and heartbreakingly romantic Adagietto. The emotional power of these adagios is brought to the fore by first‐rate orchestras such as the Staatskapelle Dresden, Philharmonia and Royal Philharmonic, under the baton of eminent conductors such as Theodore Kuchar, Herbert Blomstedt and Rudolf Barshai.

I've been depressed for a long time, I seem useless and bad
I am also a musician and music producer
This music has helped me relieve fatigue and stress.
Thanks for sharing it
The person who is reading this comment , i wish you great success , health, love and happiness !
keep going my friend, you're a child of the universe, not less than a tree or a star
Sometimes I feel the same but you just gotta keep pushing things get better eventually. In the meantime let's appreciate being here and able to listen to this beautiful music and focus on our presence rather than circumstance on this earth.
One must be in touch with themselves to make such an open and honest statement. There are people on this planet that love you. I don't know your personal routines, political views, religion likes or dislikes or anything else we attach to ourselves to for definition. Go outside close your eyes hear the beautiful chaos we call nature "Which I love very much" feel the soil and think of its complexities, that great chemically/ organic life machine that sustains us all. then later that night look for the faintest star you can barely make out so far away and know that in that (miracle) body is that very star. I love it so how can I not love you. Nature binds us all So later when you feel that joy that will be my arm over your shoulder welcome back.... feel ya later. : )
Life is all about helping others or, if you can't help them just don't hurt anyone. Most of us struggle with the latter and many with the former. People who make music do what many of us can't, help hundreds if not thousands of people, just by making music. Music that soothes the soul, makes rainy days sunny, bad times seem not so bad, puts a smile on a gloomy face. Life without music is a mistake.
Dear friend, we are all unique - every one of us - and NOBODY is useless --- including you. :-) Furthermore, since you care about being bad, clearly you are not. Every one of us is loved and valued --- by God, if you are able to accept that.
Music is one of my only refuge from the madness of this world .

What would this life be without beautiful, ethereal music by such gifted composers? I'm listening to the Brahms Symphony no. 3 at the moment and am so grateful for him and the gift he is to the world from a caring, loving Father in Heaven who made all this possible.
But it isn't by Albinoni. It is a modern piece that was fobbed off as being by Albinoni. It's pretty I guess.
I'm U.S.-born, but have always been grateful that my parents were from central Europe and I grew up
listening to all classical music. From being a baby, to now, an old woman, I am SO everlastingly grateful that I know, understand and appreciate almost all classical music. And how wonderful that now I just have to open UA-cam and enjoy some of the world's best music!!!! Thank you, UA-cam!
I live in Tucson and would like to take you out to lunch.

There are almost 7 million views at the time of writing and there are thousands of classical music videos on UA-cam. With all due respect I think a very great number of people like classical music.
Amazing that Beethoven was deaf, yet composed such beautiful music!
He wasn't born deaf. Acc. to online sites, he started to have problems hearing when he was 28. It's said he went completely deaf by the time he was in his mid 40s. He had composed quite a bit by that time--including the works presented here-- and clearly could comprehend what something would sound like.
Yall always think you ritz are amzing. Nah breh he was a normal dude who wrote music during slavery

I love classical 🎶
This is why it is called classical. And it will always be here with us.
it has class!
May I suggest the addition of Albinoni's Adagio and Barber's Adagio for Strings to this already beautiful compilation?
Definitely !

The best version of Albinonis Adagio is that performed by Valentina Nafornita accompanied by a male quartet whose name escapes me though they are immensely popular
I was confused of not hearing relaxing classical music in my life and now i am beginning to hear👍👍👍👍👍bless me🙏🙏🙏🙏
My 3 week old baby seems to love this as much as me 🥰❤️ thank you
That's great to hear and congratulations!
When I go into my study to read scripture, meditate, pray, and write, there is no sound but this lovely, meditative music creating a quiet context for the best part of my day. It has been a soothing companion nearly every day of 2021 as I focus on these spiritual times and I suppose I have played it through well over 100 times. I have listened to many others but always come back to this one.
Wooooooooooooouuuuuuuu
i’m so thankful that humans invented the ways for us to listen to music, music is my best friend, and Classical music is my lover, the one I can come to when all the others are not as sensitive as I need them to be.
Merci !
Wish you can stay peaceful even in troubled times
Calming music in an uncivilized world.
thank you so much, I FEEL IN HEAVEN..🥰😌😌😔
Thank you so much, I’m having so much trouble with stress, and this helps me to calm down.
This music helped me get through some of the most painful moments of my life
Thank you all for allowing public access to this beautiful music collection!
best music to sleep by , and or pray by ,
The first adagio I really noticed was Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings in the movie "Platoon". Sadly, it was not included in this collection, I guess it has been over played. Although the selection from Schubert's Symphony No. 5 really grabbed my attention here.
When watching movies with my kids when they were young (no, I didn't let them watch Platoon!), I would draw their attention to the classical (or maybe more accurately, symphonic) music in the movies. Then when they got to middle school, one started playing viola, the second cello and the third clarinet. They then expanded my exposure to even more music over the years. My oldest is now an orchestra teacher and my youngest is in high school symphony, band, choir and show choir. I've been truly blessed by their love of music.
What a beautiful story, Bryan. You are a good dad being cautious about what your kids are exposed to and introducing them to good music. I used to be a high school music teacher and gave it up to become a man who has no class
This makes me sleep like a warrior. Didn’t even know I liked this music but I remember they played this when I was a child in daycare. Apple slices, OJ, and a nap
LOL😄
Thankyou so much for also naming The Titles and Composers. I appreciated it all. John (Australia)
I played this for the first time and then fell asleep for a short while. I woke up to Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major... I cried. Felt like heaven.
Thank you for all of these. Pure joy.
I was thinking how true this is and I believe I wrote that. Its still true
what the...you cried??
Lord, I need some blessings from You. Thank You.
I am listening to this beautiful music while I am sitting outside of my Beersheva, Israel apartment in social isolation. The birds form a melodic choir as they, too, listen to this music. Life is still good.
All classical is from the heavens but the Adagios are a big plus - Thank you

That's the amazing thing about Bach, long after everybody commenting in this video is gone, billions of other people will grow up and discover his music. It transcends time, it has and it always will.
Well said!
I used to hate classical music. I turned 50 last year and now can see it’s beauty.
What about alienz too?
@@littleaussiehomesteaders6013 G'day. I have the feeling that people hate classical music for reasons that have nothing to do with its intrinsic value.
@@feraudyh Early exposure to a variety, with explanations, is needed. The orchestra is a multipart complex instrument you have to get to know. In other words, education helps... as with just about everything in life.

Thank You a million times over
What a joy it is to listen to such marvelously played best Adagios, composers over the many years have composed. My favorite is Rachmaninoff's Second Movement of his famous Piano Concerto Nr. 2 - It is the Adagio of this incredible piece of music composed by him. I go into another world while listening, know it by heart, since many years, as it is so uniquely melodic, can sing along with the piano part that is heard clearly above the Orchestral sounds. Thank you for whoever does these wonderful UA-cams!

I'm crying to most beautiful sound I've ever heard, classical is the best sound ever
Lol someone how's get it right 👍
Crying? Seriously? Surely this is a bit of hyperbole.
...this collection of divine classic adagios reminds me of how substantial classical (including all other epochs before the modern) composition and music is... anyone not caring for (or knowing about) this heritage would not be fit to even discuss with me the power and magic of music... xx
There are several songs that remind me of my childhood and I had to search for them…I found Adagio for strings and Adagio in G minor, but there was this one other song that I have been searching for for YEARS. I finally found it thanks to this playlist!!! 18:56 Ravel - Piano Concerto in G major. You have no idea what this music means to me. Years I have been searching. 😭🥹🩷 Thank you to the person who made this playlist.

19:00. Oh my heart! So simple, beautiful. I am meandering down a garden path, gently brushing by the roses, their sweet fragrance rising up in the warm sun. And then suddenly the path opens up to a green meadow lined by trees with vibrant green leaves trembling in the gentle breeze. My feet are bare and I feel the grass tickle my ankles. The lilting notes send me spinning in the dappled shade. I could go on forever...this makes sheltering at home bearable ❤️
