- Опубліковано 8 чер 2024
- T3 TEC, tucked into the farms of Saitama, the the unsuspecting host of almost 15 NSX’s, from NA1 Type R’s, to highly modified NA2’s, the workshop specializes in all things Honda NSX. Over the years, T3 has grown their operation to hold almost every and any OEM NSX part, as well as developing a number of their own custom parts, including their new manual conversion kit and exhaust manifolds! In this episode we speak to the founder of T3 and have a look at what they have going on in their shop at the moment!

What would your dream NSX build entail ?
Pandem NSX, with a Spoon built engine, that's all
NA2 type S resprayed in brooklands green and on bronze ZE40s, that's all
NA2R with Route KS widebody riding on Enkei GTC-01s in black with red outer ring. Maintain the naturally-aspirated powerplant with ITBs.
More than one variation:
- full carbon fibre chassis & body (f1 carbon) with ferrari NA v12 + manual transmission
- full aluminium body with f1 Honda engine
Ford gt mk2 like suspension.
Audi rsq doors.
Lamborghini diablo spider roof mechanism.
K swapped Engine 😎
the manner that the owner speaks, the grace that he conducts himself in reminds me of my late grandpa. Soft spoken and full of wisdom when speaking
Alot of the golden age JDM cars were misunderstood on the ethos of how each of them drive and performs. Due to the Fast and Furious Era these blue chip JDM cars were said to be under powered and hence the 1K HP tuned cars exist. New enthusiast don't understand that you can have so much fun with a slow car. Again much appreciated Dino, keep it up!!!
As usual, you are always dazzling in your filming, directing, montage, and your choice of beautiful and interesting topics. Believe me, man, no one on UA-cam does what you do of filming the Japanese car maintenance workshop as you do.
Thank you so much 😊
I also request maintenance for my NSX here.
It does a perfect job.
Thank you for coming to Japan.
I will always have a soft spot for NSXs as it is the first “SPORT CAR” I’ve ever seen when I was a middle school. Back in the early 2000s I remembered seeing with BBS and thought it was the best looking thing. Still occasionally spot it til this day and it still in very good condition and I am 100% sure it remains the only NSX in my country. Very informational video. As always, looking forward to your next video. Much love from Cambodia 🇰🇭
Wow Cambodia! Thanks for chiming in ✌🏻
I remember when the owner was at a Best Motoring video. He swapped a manual Trans to an automatic NSX. His style was top notch, after all these years he still is committed to the real NSX (NA1 & NA2)
This was great. I particularly enjoyed the interview with the founder of the shop. His philosophy recognizing the overall balance of the car as designed being what makes it special was very refreshing. When things reach the point where more and more owners are seeking to return their cars to stock form, that speaks to a model truly reaching legendary status in my mind.
Starting to take a deeper look at the NSX and came across your video. Thank you so much for sharing I enjoyed every minute of this.
Glad to hear that
I love the Japanese car culture, obsession, and commitment to these special cars. The NSX is one of the best ever. I look forward to visiting Japan and these special shops someday.
very educational as usual! Love these deep dives into Japans tuning shops.
Being here in the states and owning two Type R's (DB8 and EK9) and an NSX is on my radar. Seems like buying an AT in Japan and having them covert to manual before importing wouldn't be a bad move considering the rising cost of manual NSX's in the states.
I loved these NSXs, so NA1’s is truly classic, it’s a sports car icon.
Outstanding video. Very cool to see the shops that specialize on specific platforms.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I had to watch this in smaller episodes whenever I had time. The NSX is my all time favorite JDM sports car, back in my Gran Turismo days, when I had the credits, before buying an R I'd go for the S Zero. I've been following T3 on Instagram for some time now, hence why I asked some time back in the comments to please visit their workshop.Thank you so much for the video Dino .I dont think I'll be able to contain myself if I had to walk into a workshop filled with these cars🥵🥵
Haha glad to hear you enjoyed it!
White Regamasters look absolutely ace on an NSX. Persnally I wouldn't bother going widebody unless it was a really extreme track build. The standard shape is nicely proportioned and makes it a great sort of size for placing it on narrow winding roads, unlike most new supercars that can be too wide for B-roads and the like. If I had the money* I'd track down an S-Zero and do very little to it other than drive and maintain it.
*I also respect that the boss can recognise the absurdity of current JDM car prices despite benefitting from it in his line of work.
Type s zero nsx very interesting shame they are very rare
Wow, this video really impressed me. The value provided here is not what I expected whatsoever. There’s a level of poetry to it, your level of seriousness to the topic, how you deliver it in a balanced yet properly enthusiastic way. Overall, this has been amazing and wish one day I have the chance to go to Japan and see these gems in person. Will definitely subscribe, keep up your amazing work man!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
@@dino_dc is there any type s zero nsx there?
Yesssss more of this please, more nsx content and nsx shop pleaseeee
love these inside the shop videos
I'm very grateful Dino for your T3 tour and more importantly the technical talk with Toyoizumi-san on improving engine power without weight gain using lighter flywheel, improved exhaust manifold and 3.2L Stroker of the engine to 350 hp, vs the Supercharger route. Will be getting a NA1 in the near future for import to Europe. Big fan of your JDM car culture videos you have produced in 2023. Top class👍
Appreciate the feedback! Good luck with your purchase! 👍🏻
Mannnnn, I absolutely love your NSX content! Keep up the NSX content, please! This shop looks amazing! Wish I could visit and bring my NSX to get worked on there (one day)! Thanks again! Keep up the great NSX content!
Thanks! Will do!
@@dino_dc can you do visit to opera performance in fukuoka prefecture japan?
Great video! I really enjoy these visits to the shops, their atmosphere and chatting with the owners to know their opinions. My ideal NSX would be a LHD NA1, Recaro seats mimicking the Type R ones, upgraded brakes and suspension and TE37s, painted in Championship white with black roof
Great video! I have definitely been enjoying all the recent content, especially the tuning shop tours 👍🏻
Glad to hear it!
NSX is just next level pure driving experience.
It is so nice to see all these NSX at one place. Every car is unique and to me, not one of them looks bad. Although somehow the NSX does look way older without the popup headlights.
My dream NSX build would be the 5ENNA NSX widebody that was shown at THE-LOWDOWN youtube channel. There are a only a few cars that have such a timeless design.
It is truly something special to have someone that keeps these awesome cars alive.
When it comes to the interviews I would prefer to have your questions in japanese with subtitles too when the answer is given in japanese. That way the interview has a much more natural flow and you don't have the cuts between each answer.
Awesome video as always!
So heaven on earth does exist....what a properly cool place that is.
The owner really sounds like a top fella, lots of experience, knows what he is
talking about and what is the best way to both tune and look after these cars.
Plus, acknowledges and is 100% correct that the prices have lost all touch with reality, 😉
I would love to spend a day there and get a lot more of his insights on the NSX.
He has a great philosophy.
He really does. And before opening his place he worked many years at another NSX specialist
@@dino_dc You can tell, he must be on of the most experienced and best NSX car whisperers...😀 I'm assuming the cars and engines you were talking to him about in this video were from the first Gen cars, with the 3 Litre engines, not the 3.2's?
Thank you for all of your great work that I have been following since 2011.😎👍
Thanks so much! Really appreciate it!
They are so timeless and beautiful. Thanks for sharing. More power and a wide body would be right up my street.
Great to see! Great video always Dino. Thanks for sharing with us 🎉
My pleasure!
Another great video. The perfect definition of ..... it's better to drive a slow car fast than a fast cat slow. The NSX has the perfect balance of everything. Bring the cars of the 90s back. And yes keep it totally stock.
I love the cafe esc atmosphere of the videos, I have always had a huge fascination with the NSX, the car Gordon Murray approved of. I can't afford 2 halo cars so I bought a Honda Legend instead, not quite an NSX but it's a fantastic car and highly underated.
Gordon Murray approved nsx? Don't remember that but I do remember Ayrton sena
@@olavofernandes7286 Gordon bought one and used it as a basis for the McLaren f1s chassis, he kept it for 6 years and still likes the car alot, saying at the time it was the only sports car that got close to what he wanted.
Epic contest as always 😊❤
Thank you 😁
Just wanted to say i love your content, keep it up!
I appreciate it! And will do!
Another great video. Loved the owner and his attitude. Keep what makes the car special there. Do’t try and turn it into something it’s not. “If you want a faster car don’t buy an NSX” love it.
So simple right. Sometimes we oversee the obvious things
Complimenti Dino, great video, thank you!
Thank you👍
I love this guy and his 'supercharger is heavy and pointless' outlook.
Helo from Greece .
amazing video fantastic editing , love your video man cant w8 for more. great job
Thank you 🙏🏻
Very cool video, and I'd love to visit there some day. I think a few of those customers may just need to drive their cars more. I haven't found oil leaks to be a real thing as long as the VC gaskets are installed correctly and the oil pan gasket changed about as often as you'd do the belt service. That said, rubber has a shelf life, so they will have "old car problems" even with low miles sometimes.
My eyeballs thank you 🙌
Thank you for sharing another informative video and as a source of NSX shop for advice seeking :-)... 5 Thumbs up
Really.....NSX Paradies....❤❤❤
ugh.... popup headlights for life
Amazing
Great video man
Thanks!
A late model NSX/R is my dream car. Its amazing the variety of them, love the Copper colored wheels on the owners, a blue body would look good with those or the classic 5-Spoke whites. Amazing, thank you! Edit: I mean the late models i think most even americans are happy with the HP per weight. Its the early models i think some had an issue with, tho the timing with Japanese companies power ratings was weird. The 3.2 having 290hp for the weight seems pretty good, but the automatic also had less which probably doesnt help many opinions
Dope ass shop!
Another Great one.
Thank you!
Great video! I’ve been a fan of theirs IG for a long time. I wish I could ship mine from Hawaii to have them go through everything.
Glorious
He's right, the NSX is perfect just the way it is.
Nsx paradise 😊🎉❤
The wide body red one on Work Emos goes hard as fuck!!!
Superb content MR Dino
Thank you 🤙🏻
NSX heaven man ! 😌🇯🇵 #honda
While I am in to all the whips in that shop. Not gunna lie, homies silver nsx, on the white regamaster evo dimes, is a beaut. Comma coma.
I want an NA1 white, wheels and brakes and time to play.
NSX heaven ❤ The best ever
It's so weird now days how much the car scene has changed in just recent years. I grew up with these cars and at the time they were good. I remember a neighbour having a NSX that he had stroked and the thing sounded amazing. At the time I had a 2001 FD RX7 and he envied my car and I queitly envied his but now fast forward 12 to 15 years and the things we did to those cars back then you wouldn't dare do to them now. I guess it's now become the race to extinction and who can last really it's a sad fact but sports cars are dead in the eyes of manufacturers and the holy grail in the eyes of the enthusiest.
Im just lucky to have lived through a period where these somewhat "supercars" were handed down to us like when your older brother hands down items they no longer had purpose for... An era to truely never be repeated again in human history. Quiet sad in retrospect.
Another hidden gem, nice work Dino! Where’s the merch for the channel?
Coming soon!
My dream car!!!
Mic drop 🎤 at the end 😮
I guess Heaven does exist... 😍
Thanks for sharing! I’ve been looking forward to you visiting a NSX specialist. I was surprised to hear how many AT to MT conversions they have done, looks like majority of JDM AT’s have made their way to the US.
Does he have a spare clutch for a 1993 he’d like to send my way? HaHa.
I dont think it was mentioned that the AT nsx's had 252 hp compared to 270 for the manual transmissioned ones. The cams are slightly different. Im the happy owner of a 91 with a 6 speed installed and it retained the twin clutch setup with a type R input shaft. Fun cars.
I dont play around with an NSX, mostly because I dont own one. 😭
Great video!
Thanks! 👍
Nice video. Will we see some 300zx content in the future? We don't really have any 300zx specialty shops in Canada and I know the usa only has a handful. Would be really sweet to see some Japanese z32 shops
Yeah for sure, I will try to cover it all! PentRoof might still have some cool customer cars
i definiltey would run a widebody NSX, good thing is, the body is easily interchangeable, and can go back to OEM anytime.
I'm probably the worst person to ask about a widebody, I want to put the Trial kit on my Scooby but first I need the Seibon doors to match the hood and trunk. Realistically though, it would be hard to go heavy in modifying an NSX unless it was in rough shape. If the body needs a lot of work, go for it but I feel like those are such a prize that they're worth maintaining in near stock trim.
indeed heaven..
No wide body for me Honda did such a great job to begin with.
I wont go widebody with my NA2 as it's perfect as it is. More carbon fiber and light weight parts, that's what I prefer. I'm getting close to my dream build actually, just need a custom set of exhaust manifolds that fit my C32 as most manifolds on the market are made for C30/NA1 (and fitment and length are quite different). And a custom ECU tune to get maximum HP profit from these parts.
I wonder if that orange NSX with the nurburgring sticker in the rear window actually drove there. It had another track sticker on it, couldn't make it out.
🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 thanks for all your videos BROTHA❤️❤️❤️❤️
My pleasure!
Dino: Or dare I say Turbo conversion?
President: どうだろう...... :D
Hahaha 😝
You have some amazing slow , high quality panning shots in your videos. What camera and lens combo do you use?
Thank you! Alec uses a Sony A73 with a Sigma 35
@@dino_dc I use the same camera and lens. My footage doesn't even compare. Maybe I need to experiment more with the picture profiles
Sticking to the original idea, just minor tweaks that keep them running for longer.
Never seen so many NSX at once. Love your videos.
btw you speak Japanese then why English this time?
I wanted to visit so bad when I was in Japan in Feb but just ran out of time 😢
Hey man just curious, that advance front fender running 235/35/17 tyres. Whats the wheel spec on that nsx do you know?
Sorry no idea
Is it possible to make an automatic NSX-T making 300hp just by NA-tuning? Btw thanks for this dope content, deeply appreciated! DinoDC 最高!
I’m no expert but I don’t see why not
Yea you can but the cost isn’t worth it IMO. You might as well go supercharged or turbo for less money. Mine is auto with over 400whp supercharged
JDM gearing, headers and exhaust in Midnight Pearl, Kaiser Silver or Brooklands Green Pearl……and a black silicone coolant cover….
if i had one in good condition no i would keep it OEM but if its something where parts are already coming off then yes wide body
Yes, great episode. What sells his work is quality and technical excellence, not Tattoos Gold Chains and Body piercing....
Haha
10:04 i feel like the NSX is already a widebody... if the car came stock like the one here (Red) peoiple would "Wide Body" it again... and just keep putting wider fenders so that they could say they have Wide-Bodied their car...
😅 once you shown the owner. I recognize him immediately from previous Best Motoring/Hot version NSX special. #KSPengineering 😅
Ah yes 👍🏻
Is there a shop or shops in japan that do only miatas
Yes of course
@@dino_dccan you please do a video on cmc (carmakecorns) roadster tuning shop🙏
Kein auto hat mich als kind so faszinierd wie der nsx
Er war so futuristisch damals, ....kein anderes kamm mit der optik mit .
😎👍🙌🙏🏼🔥🔥💯
I vant to convert my 95 nsx-t from automatic to manual. Can you give me contact info?
Of who?
@@dino_dc of who ever can sell me the manual conversion kitt.
is that not yours dino?
No it’s not
Why is always everything "hidden"?
These are normal public shops with public customers
You can drive by and never see any cars that's why
Interesting watching the owner speak on motors while the tech works on actual motor.... says nothing and keeps working focused; in America im sure the tech would be budding in on convo ect... different kind of respect in Japan
NSX's are beautiful as they left the factory. All I can see here is a lot of bad taste with all those modified cars...
