did you already do the front or plan to? also can you tell us how it feels? maybe a video of it driving see if you can feel a diff? im wanting to upgrade my suspension bushings soon. maybe sway bars too now
I don’t plan to do the fronts. I recall reviews from when these were first released that front was minimal improvement for the costs. The rear is a big difference especially on IS350 and ISF. Not so much for 250. I did drive it after but anything noticeable would be placebo.
Cool, just got a rear one since all parts.lexus producs are 17% off right now. Opted not to get the front one after seeing that it’s only ~1mm thicker than stock.
Hey I just took my rear way bar out and the metal plate that holds it onto the frame ...is different. Its two metal plates sandwiched together. Any idea if the bushings will still fit? Its a 2011 RWD
They work. I’ve had them installed for over two years and probably like 15k miles on them. Still going strong with any issues. I do have nice roads and in FL so it’s not a true rough test.
Lexus Dealer charged me $1275 in just labour to replace the sway bar bushings. They had the car for 3 hours...$75 for parts. $1350 total. Damn I need mechanic friend
Niticed you have the lower cross X brace, any feedback on ride quality and improvement if at all? What tires you got on the Lexus or you recommend etc? You still have the stock exhaust... am thinking about the megan brand, I hate that flat Y section, too restrictive.
I like the braces, can feel the difference when driving thru curves and round abouts. I have Yokohama Sdrives in the rear and some Nitto Envo in front. Just the lowest cost name brands, not other reason for my tire choices. Yea, I’m not about the noise life so I leave stick exhaust. If I were to get an exhaust, it’d be a Tanabe or Greddy since they are quiet.
@@TunerwithKids hey, thanks for the suggestions. I ended up buying a Yonaka axleback, sounds very nice on the low rpms, just a mellow subtle low tone. I really like it a lot, nothing raspy or ricer. It is very well made, not a cheap OBX construction. All smooth weld points. The car has much smoother idle, noticed some torque gain on low rpms. Thanks for the vid, helped me a lot on installing my swaybar. I have been out of the wrenching game for a while, need to update all my stuff, like very much the led square light you used under the vehicle.
@@josueconcepcion350 For AWD, unfortunately you can only get the front+rear as a kit, which is just over double the cost of this single bar (much more expensive here in Canada, hard to find as well). So I’m actually getting this same bar on my 2011 IS250 AWD, there should be no fitment issues with the bar itself but I have a feeling I’ll need different bushing brackets.
Yea that’s true, the shocks, springs, and upper arms. I’ve never really researched the lower arms or that part of the suspension. Maybe looking into it on the 3GS ClubLexus Lexus forums. It’s can be done, someone would have tried.
It “felt” different thru the corners but nothing earth shattering. I think this combined with the rear under brace bar that I did a few months ago does stiffen the rear thru tight curves and round abouts.
@slowwhip does changing back AND front sway bars make a noticeable difference on the AWD 250? OP said the rear sway bar alone made close to no difference.
Yea...the rear sway has always been well received on the 2IS. Going thru round abouts and hard turns, you can feel the rear a little stiffer. I also have the new underbrace too so that helps the flex.
@Binh-Tuner with Kids would you recommend buying the sway bar. I have the is250 rwd manual. I want to make the car feel more planted to the road and better handling through round abouts and stop the rear kicking out on me some much when I hit the gas around corners. And if you wouldn't recommend it what is the best upgrade for making the car feel planted and tight to the road?
Btw, you mentioned the AFS sensors... Are yours still connected or did you have to disable them due to your aftermarket lights? I'm trying to find a way to make the headlight leveling compatible with aftermarket LED headlights
Mine are disabled for now by pulling fuse. But since I got the giveaway for the VLAND, I’ll be putting my other custom 2011 DRL ones back and they still have autolevel (no swivel but I have the motors to keep autolevel system functioning).
@@TunerwithKids Thanks, that makes sense. What is your plan to get the autoleveling working again? I was thinking I would install the headlight leveling ECU from a later model IS250 without AFS? But I'm not sure if the dashboard harnesses would have different connectors.
@@AFlexChannel if you don’t have it already, it’s not worth the effort to put it back in. I have factory HID so it’s already there. On my 2011 build, I shoehorned the swivel motors to keep the autolevel working and no have a check system light.

Going to do this at the same time as my f sport exhaust! People like you are the real heroes of youtube

Yea it fits. The mounting points are different on 09-13 but the bushings are same overall size.
Got the shirt, glad you got the sway bars... I love mine
Do you think I can sneak one of these on a 2015 3is?
No, 3IS has totally different rear suspension.
@@TunerwithKids Appreciate it man.
Did you replace the bushings to accommodate for the larger diameter bar? Or did the old ones still work?
The new bar comes with bigger bushings.
@@TunerwithKids Niiice! Thanks for the reply. Love the 2is content

Would it fit 2021 is350?
What is the funciton of the sway bars?
Stiffen the rear independent suspension and provide force to keep control arms and tires planted when cornering.
Tuner with Kids thanks for replying. Are these sway bars compatible with awd models?
No. AWD uses a different part number. They do make them but not sure how readily available they are anymore.
