I was legit having this problem. I started using the web browser version of spotify, but now I can go back to using the desktop app. Thanks man!
i have spotify installed from microsoft store, where do i find the storage folder?
thx bro, appreciate a lot
a pro tip I just learned: instead of typing %appdata% and going back, you can type %localappdata% to navigate to the appdata\local folder
thanks for making me loose my playlists lol
The oddest part about this was that I never saved any music locally. I only do that on my phone but on my always connected home PC I never had a need but the folder still goes to 10gb within a week. Until changing this .txt file ty
Thank you.
I had this problem and symlinked the Spotify Data Folder to my Music folder which is in my large drive.
after setting this all it did was stop any downloads anywhere. i had end up copy appdata spotify to my destination and going then going through the registry and pin pointing everything that still freaked out spotify at first i had to relogin and redownload but that fixed. It must be with the latest spotify that cache no matter what in c drive because i had no issues before i wipe and reloaded windows a month ago.
What do I do when i undownloaded spotify but it still left cache?
broo ur the best
I DONT HAVE A SPOTIFY FOLDER
My C drive has consistently been between 5-10 GB left for over a year now and I’ve been too lazy to fix it
This is a super late comment but what do you use to see all of that storage stuff at the start
It's called Treesize
Can someone help me? I don't see the spotify folder, it's just not there.
Search in the top right search bar "Spotify" and it should pop up
How about deleting Nvidia Caches, steam, origin, and etc all the other caches we don't know about.
Same delete button should work with all cache
For some reason The spotify folder isn't even there. Is there anyway to find it?
Did you click on hidden items?
@@GuilhermeSpindola im sure its located somewhere or maybe he\she installed it on microsoft
microsoft store
For anyone struggling to find the data folder, mine was there for some reason >>> C:\Users\MyProfile\AppData\Local\Packages\SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_jdklifynshjz0\LocalCache\Spotify\Data
you are awesome thank you
The last step of this guide is the only thing that works anymore. The desktop app for Spotify is absolute garbage in terms of settings. I tried setting my offline storage location to like 10 different folders on secondary drives, it still INSISTS on writing to my C drive. Insufferable as fuck lol.
I don't have the spotify folder for some reason
Did you install Spotify with the Spotify installer from a browser or from the Microsoft store?
open the %appdata% as shown in the video and search Spotify in the search bar located below the close button. it should show you the folder
@@sumant_warhekar If they installed Spotify from the Microsoft store I’m pretty sure it’s installed in a different place. So they might have done that
Can you do a rust optimization video?
also got a 10gb folder... yikes
Tip: Delete the whole spotify folder in appdata if you spotify gives a black screen and isn't responding
Yo dude you forgot to black out your Spotify credentials as you said you would is a bit too late to tell you now
I found a better fix. I just deleted Diablo 4.
Yo! first comment
for those not finding the data folder, try this:
...User\AppData\Local\Packages\SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_zpdnekdrzrea0\LocalCache\Spotify\Data
I deleted everything there and it worked
hope it helps!
