East West you just made my day! There is something magic about the way these synthesizers sounded back then and it's awesome to hear. Thank you for taking the time to keep these old dreams preserved!
@@EWQLTutorials It's a good thing I have 8TB of storage. I already have about 4TB worth of just East West libraries on my NAS. I am going to add this one tonight as well.
@@EWQLTutorials What really amazed me when I was watching was the amount of wiring inside that one he had open. I bet it took a long time to manufacture and It's probably an even bigger pain to fix it :D
You guys just keep giving us the absolute best of the Best! ICONIC can handle Yes♤ Emerson Lake & Palmer♤ PinkFloyd♤ To Depeche Mode♤ Alan Parsons♤ Michael Jackson ToTo 🤜🎹🤛
Antony Marinelli is a myth! Well done for choosing him for such a work. I used to have several of those beasts back in the days, I'm sure I will have fun with that, and some nostalgy...
You folks are truly one of the best! I've subscribed to Composer Cloud for nearly a year now and will certainly renew when it comes up. The synth world will fill a need that many times was not possible to find out there. I knew Moog, ARP, Sequential Circuits, and many others as they came to market but until now, could not replicate those sounds anywhere else. I don't use these synths often but when I need them, this will definitely do the job very well. Thank you EW - awesome work on everything you touch!
@@EWQLTutorials Well, yes, but I'd posit that that's only part of the beauty. Above that is a large and substantial library of gorgeously sampled instruments (heard in music productions around the world on a daily basis) with a remarkable amount of articulations and expressions. That to me, is the more beautiful part of ComposerCloud. With best wishes to EW!
Ok, I spent half a day toying with Iconic. Heck its really iconic !!! Great job, great sounds !!! I already have a few projects in mind where Iconic will fit right in. Well done EW !
Can you guys please think about payment plans? I’d love to buy this but I can’t afford $300 up front. Let us break it down into like 3-4 payments. One per week or month. Then that would create better accessibility/affordability to those who want to own their libraries, not rent.
Man the last couple of Vst Synths that came out , this one included have really raised the bar on sound quality and authenticity. Cherry Audio Atomica , this one right here , and Synapse Audio Han Zimmer Vst are prob if not the best I’ve heard so far. Great job on this one to EW, Anthony Marinelli and the whole team . Its amazing
I just installed it. It really amazing. I want to find a sounds like DX7 fantasy Bell. Which preset should I choose? Or I should find this sound in other plugins inside compose cloud?🙇🏻
Although being a guitar player and not a keyboard guy ... I can hear how amazing the sounds are .... wow ... and how about that epic intro trailer ... you people are so skilled and creative ... thanks
Congratulations to EW and team! What a crzy adventure this opens for future producers and current ones to enjoy some awesome sounds! Probably my favorite trailer of yours so far, and such a nice walkthrough Mr. Thomas & Greg! Thank you all around!
Will there be a Making Of to the intro track to this video or maybe even a downloadable Cubase project? I'm asking because I've now installed ICONIC on my PC thanks to my Composer Cloud+ abo and now would like to learn how to create an intro track like this! Btw, the intro track is amazing, I like!
Great addition again, sounds fantastic! Would it be possible for each patch being played to include the sound designer/engineer/ and where it was used (some are obvious too many but certainly not the young generation) Maybe an information icon where the engineers tell a little about the patch and what synth they had to use to create thos fat sounds, like a historic record, that should not ever get lost, asit is such an ICONIQ collection. Historic info should also provided for other EastWest instruments (even if they are not 'classic'), it's very educational to learn about sound and sound generation, layering filters an effects Would be nice if the other VST in your library could include that. Some years in the future these VST'S will be classics: How great would it be that knowledge, inspiration and pure grit got preserved!
Although I have these covered through your competitors, I'm certain you'll have some patches I can't find anywhere else. Very grateful for your a la carte system.
We guarantee you there are sounds in this library you'll never find in other synth libraries. This one is really special, it includes all the sounds we know and love from music history but also gives you the tools to completely change them in any way you can think of.
0:00 Thriller (Michael Jackson) 0:23 The Final Countdown (Europe) 0:30 Jump (Van Halen) 0:38 What is Love (Haddaway) 0:46 1999 (Prince) 0:54 Into The Groove (Madonna) 1:01 Tell it to my Heart (Taylor Dane) 1:12 Take on Me (A-Ha) 1:23 Sunglasses at Night (Corey Hart) 1:31 Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics) 1:39 Axel F (Harold Faltermeyer) 1:47 Don't You Want Me (The Human League) 1:55 Self-Control (Laura Branigan) 2:11 Separate Ways (Journey)
I'm not seeing the library structure as shown by Ryan at 7:00 . I don't get 'Classic', 'Classic Elements' and 'Beyond Iconic' I get a more detailed breakdown under type (including: arpeggiator, bass, effects, keys, etc) and less under some of the other settings. Can someone let me know if this has changed with an update, or am I missing something in the settings?
If you're in the 'Browse > Search' you get the library broken down by type. If you are in the Browse > Installed, you should get the full library folder structure with the Classic, Classic Elements, and Beyond Iconic folders (with those sections in subfolders)
I don't have a use for this at the moment, but this video had me grinning constantly. This is a super cool library! On a side note, I'd love to see successors to Ra and Silk. I need more ethnic instruments of the quality of Fantasy Orchestra!
Just play around with ICONIC and you'll find it can be used for so many different genres besides pop music. As for world instruments, we've got more of those coming as well!
Excellent product in order to preserve the sounds of past decades. I wonder if you achived the sound of Tonto synth, wich was used by Stevie Wonder in 1972 for his album Music of my Mind specialy on Superwoman and the somo other Stevie's albums.
Are the EW Iconic Drum Machines included in the $299 package? I see it listed on your PC during the Library Organization? I'd love drums for these synths.
By default, the Vibrato Mod Crossfade is disabled, but if you go to Opus' Play > Automation panel, the bottom option of the 'Macros' column is that Vibrato Mod XFade that you could assign to CC1 or any other Midi CC (if you wanted to separate it from the current Crossfade already assigned to CC1 which moves between the Direct Input to the Tape mixer channels)
Even though it's a pop music machine, it really can do anything. It's also amazing for film scoring! As for the amount of space, remember you can also just download individual instruments in Opus!
@Bashanvibe Not legal advice, but generally, if you own the title, and you are the sole user of your samples and you do not share or distribute them, probably nobody will mind.

I’m a composer, sound designer, and sample hunter. I’m also a longtime fan of EastWest. I love you guys. I have an Interesting request. I’ve heard a few different loops and samples that I believe come from EastWest libraries. One of those samples in question can be heard in the track linked below. It’s the metallic backing percussion heard in the background. ua-cam.com/video/LHo-6dRx5Wg/v-deo.htmlsi=6X_yJyizjBLXOZSW I’ve heard this particular sample used multiple times over literally dozens of tracks and was just curious to know if it sounded familiar.
Please do take note to turn off the 'Stable Volume' option in the UA-cam Settings (gear icon) before viewing the walkthrough - Thank you!
Might be the best plugin ever made. I could barely find any bad sounds in the whole thing 🤯🔥

Are there any synth choirs a-la Cutting Crew? I'd say those are pretty iconic.
Reminds me of how sterile many plugin synth emulators are still sounding. These samples shine, are punchy and big.
That’s why sampling these synths in an uncompromising way is so important.

Hey Ryan, thanks for the info! Wanted to ask - how can I make the modwheel add vibrato?
By default, the Vibrato Mod Crossfade is disabled, but if you go to Opus' Play > Automation panel, the bottom option of the 'Macros' column is that Vibrato Mod XFade that you could assign to CC1 or any other Midi CC (if you wanted to separate it from the current Crossfade already assigned to CC1 which moves between the Direct Input to the Tape mixer channels)
