I love these cameras. I own 5 currently and use them a lot. Film photography is something I love doing and use a variety of different formats and cameras.
A real ‘Trip’ down memory lane for me…… I grew up in Cambridge and Cottenham and now have family in Ely so know it fairly well. I also worked in Reprographics in Cambridge in the 80s, where the Trip was the standard go to camera. Such a great camera……pin sharp every time and easy to use, and Ely is such a photogenic place. A perfect combination for a first time film user. May I suggest Stretham Old Engine, or the Fens in early morning mist or snow (or both) if you get the chance.
I'm so glad you liked the video, it's a great camera and fun to use. I always drive through Stretham, but never been to the Old Engine so I will check it out! I did spot some early morning mist as I was driving yesterday but didn't have my camera, I feel like this time of year is great for some early mist.
Interesting photography adventure with your Olympus Trip 35. It's a camera I've always been intrigued by and would like to get one day. I picked up the earlier Olympus Pen EE, very similar but a half frame camera, I'm looking forward to putting some film through it. I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another retro photographer.
I ve noticed the camera has a tendency to overexpose when it s sun behind , couldn't you meter for the sun and sky first , lock exposure by half pressing the shutter and ,after take photo?

They are such a nice camera to use, definitely want to try and get out and use mine more.
Very nice. That is what film photography is all about.
Ah thank you, that's so nice to hear!
Beautiful work, Tom! Well done!
Thank you so much, I love creating these types of video so will definitely plan more 😁

Thank you, it's a nice little came and comfortable to walk around with. The Olympus Pen EE looks like a nice camera. I'd love to use my Olympus more.
I finally managed to pick up an almost pristine Trip 35 locally for a very reasonable price.😊

I haven't thought of trying that, I might give that a go
May I ask what film did you use?
Hi, I'm not entirely to sure, it was an expired film I got from a local camera shop and they put it in the camera
